    If the Patriots aren't a dynasty, then I guess Jordan's Bulls was just a good run, and the Yankees had a few decent years.

    He had no receivers
    No help from Belichick or the organization last year. 🤦‍♂️🤮

      Right. If he does badly in Tampa Bay, then I'll gladly admit he is washed up. 1 more year.

      No help from Belichick? Without Belichick's defense last year's Patriots dont win 12 games. And as someone who's seen this entire run from the beginning I can tell u Belichick's defense was the reason they won their first couple championships. Brady was a system qb early on.

    • @andrewchapman5659
      @andrewchapman5659 4 года назад

      It was a mess last year. Edelman was the only reliable receiver and he dropped a huge pass in the playoffs. Sanu was useless. Josh Gordon flopped out. Brown and Brady would be 25-30 tds a year. I think he deserved 2 more years with the Patriots and they should have loaded up with him. But Cam Newton is currently available for basically nothing.

      Shannon Sharpe said it best Tom Brady's calling card was that he does more with less and now that he can't do that it's he needs help. That to me would mean he's on the decline now. I wouldn't say washed up be he's definitely diminished. I also think it was time to move on for the Patriots.

    Rob is wrong. They won 3, lost 2, won 2, lost 1, won 1. That's a dynasty. Went to the Super Bowl 9 out of 20 seasons.

    • @seriously6654
      @seriously6654 4 года назад +1

      Agree. If Rob wants to quibble they were a Double Dynasty which is even greater than a continuous Dynasty. No QB has a Double Dynasty. Rob is right about it having to come to an end. Patriots avoided NFL Parity for about 10 years because of Brady.

    • @rgonz81
      @rgonz81 4 года назад +2

      Brady been in the league for 20 but has only started 18 seasons. Sat his first season, out in 08 game 1 quarter 1 due to acl. So with Brady as the starting quarterback the had a 50/50 shot at making the superbowl which is insane

    • @deangelo17
      @deangelo17 4 года назад

      I actually agree with Rob. 9 SBs out of 20 years is obviously historic, but I wouldnt call it a dynasty either... And here's why (Stephen A. voice).... During this 20 year run, they have probably gone through 20 assistant coaches, 20 Recievers, 15 Running Backs, 40 offensive and defensive lineman, etc. The only constant has been Bill Belechick and Tom Brady. So, In my opinion, this 20 year stretch has been a testament to the greatness of Tom Brady and Bill Belechick, and their ability surround themselves with average talent, and make that average talent a Super Bowl Champion. And the main reason why I wouldnt call it a dynasty is because of what Rob Parker pointed out...there was a 10 year stretch between winning a championship. If you want to call the first 3 championship teams a dynasty, and the second 3 teams a dynasty, then maybe I would agree, but I dont consider the full 20 years a single dynasty because the 20 year stretch was more about the longevitiy of Tom and Bill. The biggest and most important thing that is important to being considered a dynasty is championships, so although NE has had an historical amount of success, the decade between championships doesnt really qualify a team as a 20 year dynasty.

    • @deangelo17
      @deangelo17 4 года назад

      Skips much worse, but he is entertaining and thats what helps him. Rob just has an unpopular opinion most of the time. There is nothing wrong with that. It doesnt matter what the opinion is, there are going to be people who strongly disagree because no community of people will all agree on a topic. You have an opinion too, and I guarantee, if you were to publically give your opinion, there will be people calling you an idiot too. Its just easy for you to talk about Rob cause you can sit back and give your opinion without thousands of people dissecting each and everything you say

  • @Matt-cr4vv
    @Matt-cr4vv Год назад

    It’s funny listening back on Robs takes on Tom at this time with the hindsight of how things have gone since. Rob, like so many over the years, balked up and down when pointing out the genuine lack of weapons in NE especially at the end and refusing to allow that reality into his takes on Tom’s performance in the final year with the Pats. Then we witnessed the immediate decline of the Pats without having Tom who clearly covered so many of the teams deficiencies through the years and had an all time knack for cooking a grounder meal with bargain bin groceries at his disposal for the vast majority of his career. Then when he made the move to the Bucs where he had elite weapons to throw to his stat output skyrocketed the first two seasons and he won a Super Bowl. Clearly at the end having weapons at his disposal made a big difference in what we saw him produce and it’s a shame the Pats were never willing to do that in his later years. At the end the Pats took Toms ability to continue producing well despite the tools available to him for granted just like they took his team first mentality for granted. Really was a shame how it all ended there because I’m sure he would’ve loved to have retired a Pat had he been treated better at the end of his time.

    There is a difference between dynasty and brand.
    A dynasty can be for success over one period in time whereas a brand is for success over different periods in time.
    Brand examples: The Yankees, the Lakers and the Celtics.
    The Patriots can be called a brand if they are successful in different eras.
    The Bulls are not to be considered a brand as what have they done before and after Micheal.

    Greatest Dynasties
    1. Patriots-I hate them
    2. LOMBARDI'S PACKERS- 5 championships in 8 years with 6 championship appearances
    3. San Francisco- 5 championships with 2 different quarterbacks
    4. Pittsburgh- 4 championships in 6 years
    5. Dallas- 3 championships in 4 years

    • @rxtsec1
      @rxtsec1 4 года назад

      #6. Joe Gibbs Redskins- 3 championships with 3 QBs & 4 super bowl appearances.
      My definition of dynasty- 3 or more championships within atleast a 10 year period & your teams were mostly in the running even during the years you didn't win it.
