What it really boils down to is east coast QB vs west coast QB the the NFC is the toughest division. If Tom Brady was the QB for Seattle would he have won as many games as Russell put Russell in the AFC conference see how many games Russell would have won
This is very simple. Those that think Tom Brady is the goat or one of the goats will continue to do so. Those that think he’s overrated will continue to do so...even if he succeeds. People stick to their personal narratives regardless of what happens.
3:27 the answer is no. He’s been in a lay up division for years with a generation coach. He’s a system QB that’s leaving the system that was built specifically for him
So, when Belichick’s team from 2000-2001 went 5-13 with Bledsoe all the way and he suddenly gets hurt, you’re saying there was a magical system already put in place for Brady to come in and completely outperform Bledsoe and turn that team’s fortune around that same season and win the SB?
Dylan Winters yes, Bledsoe was inherited by Belichick. It wasn’t his guy and Bledsoe is never a system QB. Bledsoe did it his way and wasn’t really a follower nor was he someone that looked to his coach for guidance. Bledsoe is more akin to Brett Favre than a system QB like Nick Foles, Alex Smith, Sam Bradford, or Tom Brady.
I don’t buy it as a lot of people with more experience than you and I combined have the same feeling. Belichick had 5 years in Cleveland to “implement his system” or “find his guy” and he went 42-58 and was fired. He had two full offseasons 2000 and 2001 to work with Bledsoe and he hand picked that team and one of the reasons WAS Drew Bledsoe. But alas, they went a total of 5-13 before Brady came in and saved Belichick. Don’t get me wrong, Belichick has developed into the greatest coach of all time, but it certainly helped having the best QB of all time. Don’t know many “system QBs” or “game managers” who have won 3 MVPs and 4 SB MVPs. Show respect where it’s due
Dylan Winters You should indeed be showing a lot more respect for Belichick who made Brady what he is. Let’s wait and see how Brady does outside of Belichick and the laughable AFC east. Curious what you think Brady would’ve been if he was on any of the other teams in the AFC east....or worse if he was actually in a competitive division throughout his career. Brady is massively overrated and we’ll see him exposed this year with good team (Brees/Saints) actually in his division.
I’ll tell you what Brady would have been. He certainly wouldn’t have won 6 SBs, but I think it wouldn’t be a stretch if he won maybe 2-3 in a 15 year career along with an MVP or two. Nobody EVER does it own their own. I have given props to Belichick for becoming the greatest coach of all time while you seemingly can’t acknowledge Brady’s will, his intelligence, and drive to win. That is such a narrow minded way of thinking
Not once this decade has Russell Wilson dominated the league. Rodgers has done it several times. Russ is great no doubt but Rodgers is simply the better player.
_Fire Wilson went to 2 straight Super Bowls. Which means he won 2 NFC titles compared to only one for Rodgers so, technically, Wilson has “dominated” his conference twice while Rodgers has only done it once 🤷♂️
Impervius Wilson’s play wasn’t the primary reason the seahawks made the Super Bowl in each of those years. LOB and prime marshawn had a massive influence in both those years, not to mention Brandon bostick in the 2014 nfc championship game!

How is "New England wanted him" confirmed? So that basically casts doubt on all the other teams you mentioned. Because we know that NE didn't want him. If they wanted him, they would have resigned him.
Russel Wilson was the better QB In the last 8 years and that’s a fact but for the entire decade stats are close despite Russell not playing the first 2 years and it’s debatable and could go either way, but when it comes down to the last 8 years it’s not even close, hands down Russell Wilson is the better QB

To be fair Wilson had the Legion of Boom, and always has a good defense. Rodgers has a Top 10 defense once this decade, and that year he won the SB
Wilson has had far superior defensives and a HOF coach that Aaron never had, to be fair
And Aaron had much better offensive lines and weapons. Wilson has played with arguably the worst pass blocking oline over the past 6 years.
@@hdqb2813 Dude Rodgers in the early part of the decade had pretty bad olines so that is a myth that Rodgers had pretty good Olines. Also Wilson had by far one of the best defenses of all time as well as a rushing attack in beastmode. He's had plenty of weapons.
Green Bay’s defense in 2010-2012 was dominant

Wing Adept if the defense was soo good why does Russel Wilson is in top 5 in comebacks and other clutch stats? Take patriots vs seahawks where the “y mad?” picture came from, Everybody praised defense while it was Russel that won the game with a game winning drive I am NOT saying legion of boom were bad but they had 2 7-9 years in a row before Russel showed up. So in terms of all time defenses they are not that great. Giants beat patriots twice with Eli, Ravens won with bums in Differ and Flaco and again legion of boom went 7-9 2 years in a row WITH Earl WITH Kam WITH Sherman WITH Lynch
Russell is a good qb but without legion boom he doesn’t get to the two Super Bowls
Without Patriots Defense, Brady doesn't get to four. Defense is part of the team. Dude was still a third round, under six foot QB, and should be considered a no question first ballot HOF.
Without malcolm butler, brady would have 5.
If mahomes got the ball in overtime, brady would have 4.
If Falcons would've made that field goal, brady never has enough time to comeback and he would have 3....
If Adam vinatieri didnt make that field goal, I'm not sure he would have 2....
LOB was back to back 7-9 before wilson arrived. And they had all the weapons. Wilson was 75% the reason the hawks even sniffed the superbowl.
Ansh Luthra legion of boom with Lynch went 7-9 back to back so same thing can be said about them.
@@AM-hb5to brady could also have 9 whats ur point
@@markusmahadeo1374 you actually didnt get my point? Point is, it's a team game. It's the most team game out of the sports I know. But for some reason brady always gets the credit for the 6 rings when in reality, if he didnt have other reliable pieces helping him, he might not even have 1 ring. Cause he doesnt play special teams and he doesnt play defense nor coaching, which NE was elite in all of.
I don't think Brady was at " The bottom of the mountain" but I do know what Colin is saying.
russel wilson during his superbowl run was a game manager. He was awful against the saints in the postseason and had a slightly above average game against the broncos. Even the year after, he was god awful against the packers in the nfc championship game. If he doesnt have a a historically great defense and one of the best run games of the decade, theres no way they win those games and we would talk about him underachieving with all time great rosters. Rodgers, brees, brady, and maybe roethlisberger and peyton(even though he played a limited amount of seasons) were clearly better in the past decade.
@Daniel Alam Did u watch the superbowl or just look at the box score ? both his tds came when they were up by like 30, after special teams and their defense dominated. Most of the game, they just asked him not to make mistakes since the defense took over. Most the points were from the defense, special teams, or came because of big trick plays.
I'm tired of people saying Aaron got McCarthy fired. No he did not. You wanna brag about how Rodgers has had a better O-line how about Russell having the legion of boom. Rodgers never has had the legion of boom. Wilson has had a defense for years. Rodgers never did
He had a defense that day they intercepted Wilson 5 times. Now come with the excuses on how he couldn't pull that one off...........
@@paxsopranodynasty7555 so 1 game is equivalent to about 4-5 years of having the legion of boom?
I feel it is obvious Russell is the better player and has been for like 5 years
And yet he has 0 MVPS to show for it. Plus the fact Wilson also had the better defenses which didn't require him to go into a lot of shootouts in comparison to Rodgers.
4 out of the last 5 years, Russell has been the best QB in the NFC.

@@ShizawnSanders When has he blamed McCarthy for the team''s struggles? He's never done that. Did he agree with him on decisions, no, but he never BLAMED him. As for the NFC Championship game against Seattle, Rodgers A. Played with a tear in his calf, which is why he didn't scramble that game. B. The Packers were a kick return away from winning the game if not for Bostick. C. Rodgers for as bad as he played gave them the lead until The Packers surrendered it, and even then Rodgers managed to get them to OT and he never got the ball back.

He played badly by his standards for sure but that's not why they lost
They lost cause the ST couldnt recover an onside kick
Tom got a degree in cliches at UM!
Wilson is still so underrated. People are disrespectful to him.
That is such a narrow minded way of thinking
if i'm at the bottom of a mountain i don't necessarily have to climb it lol
This Wilson vs Rodgers debate shows how little you know about football.
If the legion of boom Hawks had Aaron Rodgers they would not have lost to the Patriots
If, If, If. Got to love Aaron Rodgers fans and their hypotheticals.
If the packers had Russ this year. They would’ve probably made it to the super bowl

"is" is the wrong word. "was" is more apt. Past tense. Wilson IS the better player. Rodgers "was" the better player.
Impervius Wilson’s play wasn’t the primary reason the seahawks made the Super Bowl in each of those years. LOB and prime marshawn had a massive influence in both those years, not to mention Brandon bostick in the 2014 nfc championship game!
nnjjee1 Wilson definitely had the better season but the jury’s still out for me. We’ll see how both perform this season which can give a better indication on the levels they’re at. Heck this was largely considered to be Rodgers worst season ever and russes best despite their numbers being pretty similar. Plus 12 beat him in the playoffs
Who has more mvps this decade or first team or had the better defenses??? Rodgers or Wilson??
James Jackson legion of boom was 7-9 the two years before 🤷♂️
Drake Copp Most of them was still rookies and Wilson was a game manager the year they won. These pass couple of years Russell really have been becoming great
James Jackson that’s true but even beady was a game manager his first couple of years most great QBs start that way
Drake Copp That’s Rodgers has been better this Decade then Wilson
James Jackson id still give the edge to Wilson
How is "New England wanted him" confirmed? So that basically casts doubt on all the other teams you mentioned. Because we know that NE didn't want him. If they wanted him, they would have resigned him.
Colin "Always Go All-In" Cowherd
Russel Wilson was the better QB In the last 8 years and that’s a fact but for the entire decade stats are close despite Russell not playing the first 2 years and it’s debatable and could go either way, but when it comes down to the last 8 years it’s not even close, hands down Russell Wilson is the better QB
Rodgers is the prom king of the All-Decade Princesses team.

What about Brees?
Stephen Hahn no MVPs, no SB MVPs, 4 losing seasons, 2x the INTs as Rodgers, 4-6 playoff record
