They make it seem like it takes forever for the color to change because they don't want anybody to get any quick witted ideas that it really changes in a fraction of a second. You can change the colors with the stripes which will change dimension from distance and atmospheric distortions will assist the cloak mirage to evade. They didn't show you that it can go totally black when it's turned off.

After a month out on the road, the car will look like trash. And they won't get fixed because of how expensive it will be to repair that stuff. With a regular car you can DIY rock chip marks and rust on your car with like $5 or $50 depending on what you wish to do, or manually ding out dents with a ball hammer, but with these, you'd have to replace the screen, with rust you'd have to remove the screen and address the rust UNDERNEATH the screen which will cost even more. Frame rust on these cars will get insane, and many of these cars will end up lasting a ton less than the cars you see on the road today due to these expensive repairs and now complicated issues that have been added. The worst part is, is that short sighted consumers that just blindly buy more futurist stuff will just get it because of "the future" without actually looking at the unforeseen consequences of shifting the market towards that type of stuff. Look at electric cars, their paid subscriptions, their material crisis going on right now for building the batteries, the terrible towing range, the destruction of the used car market due to people selling their dead battery electric cars instead of changing them out due to repair costs, the inability to work on electric cars to do stuff like Change out a tire or motor, the extremely dangerous electric fires that effect the cabin due to the batteries location instead of the front or back of the car, etc. They were put into popularity due to low effort marketing for "the future" and idiot consumers that forced the market this way because of how short sighted they were. It wasn't really hard to see how this is bad, you should use your head next time, it is very easy to see how this can go wrong.
