How cool is that? God bless you guys. Jesus said, Come to Me all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, For I am gentle and humble of heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. I know I can do this because He is my Master. You have given a great picture of Christ and of life in Him. I hope that you are a brother in Christ, that you belong to Him the way that Will belongs to you, and that I will meet you some day. If I do, I will say, "Thank you!" God bless, B.
***** Thanks for responding. I like how you talk to Will. My oldest son's name is Will. Anyhow, you and Will are quite an inspiration. Every year we buy a handful of Milking Shorthorn bull calves to bottle feed and raise for meat. This year I will attempt to train leading them to potentially do what you and Will do. I learn a lot from videos like yours on RUclips. Can you please do a video showing and explaining how you use the ropes to stack the logs like you did in your 'extreme stacking' video. OBTW, the video of estimating the height of a tree by using your goad stick and the video of fitting and using a single yoke were very informative. Thank You!!

I think it's strange the outrageous criticism that every draft horse video gets no matter how gentle, but people seem to be very supportive of oxen. I've used both myself for a good number of years and find oxen and cows in general to just be smarter and easier to deal with on a day to day basis than horses.
not to sound mean but do you plan on clipping his horns? it looks like they are about to pock him in the eyes, nice to see somebody who takes great care of their animals, may he live to be a very old ox
I was wondering if you would give me permission to use part of the soundtrack to this video. I"m on a budget and producing a DVD about the Mormon Logan Temple and it's construction back in the 1870's and 1880's. I would appreciate using just a small part of it as background noise. Please reply. I'd be very grateful. I would also give you credit in the video.
martin turner Hard to say, depends on their general health, energy level, etc. Just like us. Normally you will adjust your expectations to suit their age, you will not expect the same level of effort from a 12 year old ox that you do from a 4 year old.
Will is a damn good boy. You’ll find very few animals this productive.
Extremely enjoyable video. What a fine animal and a fine job training him.
Awesome pictures! Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful animal.
Good boy Will !!!
❤🇨🇦
Good boy will. You are fun to watch
Nice job, Will :)
A very nice team !
I love this video, I love the ox.
Back to nature, the way things should be!
I should get an ox, but not sure my apartment manager allows it?
Great video!!
You do an excellent job with training your oxen and your camera work is great. I wish I could talk about Oxen with you sometime.
Nice, I worked a single Short Horn steer for a few years. Very rewarding.

Beautiful working skills
Did you try Will on a trailer ?
Or is it to dangerous to go on the road with it ?
How do you feel the britchen works? Are there things that you can't do (or can do) with Will that you could do with an ox without the britchen?
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, some of your camera stuff, rolling the logs, got me dizzy. lol.
What a lovely partnership.....can you tell us how long you and Will have been together? He obviously respects and loves you 👏👏👏
At this point Will was getting older, about 14 years old. He was a joy to work with.
Will has passed on I suppose?

@@TMHarrigan Can I ask what breed he was, I though belted galloway but they are polled and Will had horns, was he a cross breed or something else ?

I wonder does the saying dumb ox come from the same place stubborn mule comes from , ha ha !
what breed is old will, its looks like you could not get a finer companion in the woods than old will
looks to me like a belted galloway

I wish to run after the logs like in this video and not to try to pull them myself. Now I want a cow to work with. :)
