No, cows are auspicious and considered holy. If the oxen are not used for work their lives become profitable in their mortality only. A horse cannot give milk, either. You can get strong cows.
Why do you put a ring trough their nose when you can use the same thing they use on horses, the one that puts a bit of pressure on the bridge of the nose? Because I dont believe in hurting animals. And a ring TROUGH their nose that you PULL on HURTS!! Why this cruelty???

Oxen are cheaper. The horse moves too much, not so cool, so it needs more energy. The horse has very bead digestion, so it needs too much food.
