The most underrated British band of all time. I'm sure they produced the first album in their garage and it won a mercury prize? I might be wrong, them days were hazy 😁😁
I agree, still listen regularly. Saw them live on the liquid skin & they were fantastic. Some little band called Coldplay were the support act, whatever happened to them?
One of the best albums ever. Been trying to remember the name of this band for ages and then Rick Stein's just been to Tijuana and, voila, here I am! Going to tell some young musicians about Gomez and spread the word :)
My favourite track from their first album. I worked with Ben's dad for many years before his tragically early death. I can still remember Ben as a toddler jumping up and down on my new settee (much to my chagrin) - but given the quality of his singing, any damage he did was well worth it. Caught the band live several times in Sheffield and saw Ben's mum (Sam) in the audience. Was tempted to say "Hello", but decided it was probably wise not to raise ghosts from the past. Very glad to see that Ben has continued in the music business. He is phenomenally talented and I'd love him to receive the recognition he deserves.
@@nostalgiabarn4072 "talking about his dads death on an internet comment section" But that's not what he was talking about, it was only mentioned because he knew and worked with his dad. What he was talking about was Gomez, and how talented one of the members was and how he knew Ben since Ben was a child. And leaving a comment on RUclips is hardy the same as actually talking to Ben's mum bringing back old memories. 🤡
What a cool vid!!! Bring It On & Liquid Skin were the soundtrack of my late 90s & 00s life. I always go back to those two albums, when I am feeling down. 💀
Possibly one of the most underrated albums of all time as I think it stands if you listen to the content as one of the greatest. What funny fashions are played with the business and culture of music unlike narrative
Went to see Ian and Ben at Birmingham last Wednesday. Live is alway joy of this lot. Epic little gig that deserved a bigger audience. Unfortunately the semi final was also on so people were missing. Then some very drunk people turned up and started singing quite loudly. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Comments have been removed for some reason. agreed - an excellent band, they haven't released anything in years though!! but check out Ben Ottewell's albums.

I feel like every day is hazy for me now. When I was introduced to this band, nearly twenty years ago, I knew they were uniquely one of a kind.

I met him last night at a local show. Super nice guy. So weird to see how different he looks now from back then.
I'd like to think Ben's mum might see this & respond. May I ask if you regret not speaking to her?
so you saw his mum in person and didnt want to raise ghosts but here you are talking about his dads death on an internet comment section ? LOL epic

Exelent song, Masterpiece of all times, a modern classic
Man, this sh*t does not age. Bloody brilliant
First time I heard this song I was a teenager trippin on shrooms. One of the best memories I have! This band has always been my favourite.
Love this pal
Classic, one of the best songs
class act very underrated

still sounds awesome, the current batch of bands can't touch the tunes these guys created.
Why isn't there more view and likes on this song? It was the first Gomez song I heard when I was in high school. I relate to it so much more now
Still brilliant in 2021 sounds as fresh today as when it came out
Why do they have so few views? These guys are amazing!
+pokkel1982 In my humble opinion the most underrated band in what? 25 years or so....
The best unknown band, ever.
Such an underated British band. Thanks for sharing, great track, thought provoking video✌️💜😊👍
My friends hated them, till I took them to a concert, now they can't have enough!

Steve McQueen
