I still think they need a legit 2, especially with McCain now out for the season. Someone that could play next to Maxey, spot start, and come off the bench. Someone like Lonnie Walker, or if they really want to make a splash I’d go after Benedict Mathurin. I still have no idea why they chose to sign Lowry and Reggie Jackson over some of the other guards that were available. Oubre can play the 2, and start, but he is best utilized off the bench IMO. I just think if they had someone to start at the 2, Oubre could go back to being a 6th man and it would just give the team different options for their rotations. Or he’ll they could try to grab a starting caliber PG and move Maxey to the 2 and not put all the passing and playmaking responsibility on him. Someone like Mike Conley, or Lonzo Ball if he can stay healthy. But that all depends on which teams are sellers come the deadline.
