Embiid is really like the embodiment of what's wrong with the NBA regular season... the two big criticisms of gamestyle that I hear about the NBA is that there's too many 3's and too many foul calls, and he is a stretch center who flops on every contact while shooting high volume from 3 (for a center). I don't think Embiid deserves to win anything substantial in playoffs with his playstyle. To be honest he didn't deserve his MVP either, Jok was averaging a triple double and had a bigger impact for his team. If he wins something significant it's because he changes his playstyle or is carried by another star

PG just seems to be very bad at communicating off the court. None of what he said is malicious. He just doesn’t know how to say something the correct way. Ultimately he’s tryna say the same thing so it really doesn’t matter but people will latch onto it. PG wasn’t tryna downplay dames shot by what he said. True hoppers know that when the game is tied an off balance 3 pointer with one of the best defenders in the league is not good shot selection. Dame is so good and that’s why he was able to make it. PG played great defense that play, but people won’t see it that way. With the CJ Miles thing how many times has Lebron been ridiculed for passing to an open player for the game winning shot? PG is just saying that the best player needs to take the last shot which is what a majority of people would say. And then with McCain he’s saying that no team is going to be that good if a rookie is the best player. No matter who that rookie is. Even rookie Lebron wasn’t good enough yet. Yes he could’ve worded all of these better but ya gotta look at what people actually mean with what they say not just the words they say

Embiid will never win a ring because he never plays. PG is not a generational talent. He will never win a ring too. Heck, KD is a generational talent but didn’t win one until he teamed up with Curry, another generational talent. Bottomline is, with the current climate of the NBA, you cannot win a ring unless you partner up with a great player even if you are a generational talent. In PG’s case, how can he win if he doesn’t have a reliable great teammate?

    This is a wild take:
PG has been hurt for the past 4 seasons, recovered from a broken leg, has been in the playoffs 12 times in the past 14 seasons including these injured seasons with the depleted Clippers, where most of that team was injured. Are currently in the FIRST HALF of the season, where they’re 2 games behind from the play-in spot (presumably will improve to 3-7 seeds), is learning Nick Nurse’s new system, has a new role as their THIRD OPTION (has 3rd highest usage rate), has the 2nd highest assist rate on the team, is currently tied for most spg, is shooting 40% from the field and has been playing good defense on a new team. Again he’s not healthy so his numbers have dipped but it’s too early to make such a wild take like that. Stitching videos of CP3 scoring on him to highlight your take isn’t the same thing as PG not being a star player.
Tobias is a good player that can be a good asset to some of the best contenders, but if he’s back on Detroit, that leadership just opens up the young guys games, especially Cade who needed a solid 2nd scorer. I’m a fan of your videos Mike, but this one wasn’t it. I do agree he can do a lot better & part of that is definitely from being distracted, there’s no way that running a podcast isn’t taking away from his focus on the court but he’ll be fine and isn’t “washed” just yet. Nick Nurse and the front office need to use his time on the floor better. There’s been a lot of bad rotations and guys not getting to their spots, but it doesn’t matter because Knicks are going to bounce them in the playoffs.
    Let’s go Knicks!
