The pottery is beautiful but what stunned me the most was the gorgeous sound of the cracks when he opened the firing oven.

I could listen to the pottery glaze's tinkly crackling sound all day~ like gentle wind chimes. I LOVE this channel, like a grownups version of kid's shows I kinda remember, when they showed how Crayola crayons or bubblegum were made

Caro anfitrião, apenas lembra-lo que atualmente existem mais de 7000 idiomas no mundo. Ativa a LEGENDA AUTOMÁTICA no seu vídeo. 😿

Is there any way to buy these online? I love the specific pattern used here.

@@iatsd Thanks. Found an outlet in London that has some of his stuff. Starts at 5000 USD - ouch.

@@MartinClausen You could reasonably expect the price to be around 1/4 - 1/3 less in Japan if you buy directly. You can also reclaim the sales tax prior to leaving Japan if you want to go through the hsasle of that at the airport - possibly worth it given the costs!
If you can find a decently priced ticket it might actually be cheaper to fly to Japan and buy there.
There *are* other manufacturers in the area that are cheaper - the guy in the video is the president of the area association for that style of pottery, so he is literally top dog and his prices will reflect that.

@@iatsd Got it. Unfortunately for me I really like the specific geometric pattern he is using on several of the pieces in the video.
