I, like Micheal below, just bought a 2 pack of 6.0 off of Amazon and one was dead and wouldn't charge. I have been looking at it with contempt for over 6 months now. I did your jump start trick and it worked. :) Thank you very much!!!
I felt compelled to comment on this because it’s just nuts how much people bitc h in the comments, yet you replied patiently and kindly. That’s the kind of behavior that I like to see in this world and I admire the hell out of it. The video helped me, it was great, and the concise nature of your video style makes it accessible to people who might not be as intuitive, and those masters of the universe down in the comments can go make their own videos with only the finest editing choices, commentary and soundtrack, and when they do we will revere them and question ourselves wondering why we aren’t nearly as capable as the great ones from the comment section. But until then your video is great
Thank you so much for the amazing feedback and my apology for the slow reply, sometimes for some reason I don't see the notifications. I make these videos to help those that are going thru the same situation that I'm dealing with. Best example is the video about the refrigerator door handle....I couldn't find anything explaining how to remove it, I finally figured it out and I was like....this needs to be documented. No video is perfect and audiences are hard to completely satisfy, so as long as I can help someone else...my goal has been achieved. Have a great day 👍
@kaimanson3174 , I can't. I purchased this tool about 2 years ago when they were on sale, thinking that the old one that I am still using would had stopped working. I did check the batteries about 6 months ago and they were good, but today I checked them and they were completely dead so I decided to put them to charge but of no luck. It's 4 batteries too
@@saleemhosein4111 oh i got it. Yeah i got two sets on sale a few years ago, and both were DOA. I was able to jump them and one came back to life the second worked but halfway... most likely a cell inside was already dead.
You really should replace that defective cell that has leaked. that pack will become imbalanced fairly quickly and have a really low/awkward capacity and high impedance across the cells. all cells that drop to zero will have a diminished capacity as well. swapping them out with some sony vtc6 batteries would be my choice if you want a small high capacity pack.
I know this video is a year or more old, but that one cell should be replaced. With that one cell being damaged and not taking an even charge with all the rest that battery is almost useless. Its a fairly easy job to replace cells.
I found two cells bad, but didn't replace them. I saw a few videos online and all of them will weld the battery to the metal strip... thanks for sharing.
My Milwaukee M18 5.0 new out of the package had no bars. Tried to charge battery and the charger flashed red and green. Watched this video and “jump started” the batter and I’ll be god damned, it worked. This coming after sending the battery to Milwaukee warranty and being denied because I bought it off E Bay. Shitty way to be denied a claim.
If you have to spend 3 min showing how to open a blister pack and opening the battery case maybe the people you expect to watch this shouldn't be attempting to repair a lithium battery pack. The irritating music doesn't help either.
Yeah, I gotta work on my music repertoire; sometimes that initial 3 mins can make the difference to someone to do it or not to do it by themselves. Thanks for sharing ur thoughts 👍
Got two new batteries and both are faulty right out of the pack. Horrible business practice to make obsolete shit. Going to check warranty and try this if they don’t remedy it

Great job, creating some knowledge is better than no knowledge at all I have learned something today.
Happy to help Martin 👍
Mine still doesn't work, brand new batteries.... after doing this
Possibly a bad batch, take it back and ask for a replacement.

Thanks for the info, I wanted to do that, do I need to solder it or it can be just held by the metal frame...?
@@kaimanson3174 I fixed an M12 battery and it required soldering.
"spot welder" is better than soldering. Soldering puts lots of heat to the battery

Great video 📹

Or just return/exchange it..
No dialog. Can only hear annoying music.
Happy to help 👍, just bring the volume down
@@kaimanson3174 the music is cool! But more importantly, more than any moronic bs about music; the video content was helpful. THANK YOU

its not new battery ...
Those were actually new batteries...crazy I know.

Lol, great way to be a total douche… great job Gary. You just received the virtual total douche award

Return them and get a replacement. Sometimes these can be revived, sometimes if a cell is too damaged then it is kind of impossible.
Way too long …much better other videos out there
Happy to help 👍
Most annoying music ever !
LoL, thanks for sharing...gotta expand my repertoire.
I disagree, music sounded ok. Haters cry all day no matter what you do.
Music was ok
