Great review! Only thing missing is a comment about external storage. I've been using a Kobo Touch for years, which is an amazing device. It has an SD card slot, and in my naivety I assumed the new models would, too. So, seeing a good online offer and thinking it's time to upgrade, I just ordered a Kobo Libra H2O -- and then discovered that I can't expand the memory. However, after my initial panic, I realised I'd been using my Touch with its 2GB onboard RAM, plus a 1GB (!) SD card, and had no real problems. So 8GB should be more than enough (especially since my library supports Overdrive). But I think it's something worth mentioning. Thanks for the best Libra H2O review I've seen so far (yes, I was rather dumb and watched the reviews *after* buying -- but I love my Touch so much, I figured what could go wrong, and just bought it).
That’s a great note to add. As a new user to the kobo range I didn’t know the older series had SD / CF cards. Sounds like you’ll be well covered with the overdrive and extra storage. Thanks again for the contribution. Mark

@@MakeLifeClick Very. Have yet to purchase my first one and you wouldn't believe the amount of time I have spent watching, listening and reading reviews. Have made my choice. Others that do recipes should take lessons from you. Thx much!!
I have the same dilemma with physical books. I hate the clutter of books and I can never find a comfortable position to read. I'm hoping one of these things can increase my reading.
Very nice review, brother. I bought Kindle Paperwhite, Kobo Libra H20 & Kobo forma. Of the three, Libra H20 is definitely the best one. IMO, this is the best e-reader out there right now.
Hello, in terms of size İs Kobo Libra better than Kobo forma? I can't decide what i'm gonna buy.I'm afraid of that the Kobo Libra is gonna be too small to read a book :(
There are some benefits with emailing books to your kindle and also having your kindle and phone kindle synchronised when reading. e.g. if you don't have your eReader you can always keep going on your phone for convenience?
Was just about ready to buy a Libra and this review - which answers questions I knew I had but that I'd forgotten all about - answered them all in the affirmative. Definitely time to place an order!
I appreciate your talking about having trouble getting through physical books and how the Libra has made it easier. I am the same way. I recently finished a few books (which I couldn't before) by reading them on my phone and iPad, so using an eReader seems to work for me too. I decided on Kobo because I don't want to feel married to Amazon (I'm in the US). I'm getting the Libra so my reading experience will be comfortable and have fewer distractions. Great video.
Definitely sharing a lot of the same experiences Lana. I also really like that I can prop it up on a pillow or similar and not have to worry about holding the pages back, so it's hands free reading too which I like.
Finally someone that reflect my experience with ereaders! I was NOT a paper reader, for me is annoying. But I can read a lot with my kobos. I started 5 years ago and now i read a lot of good books that, in fact, changed my life! Cheers from Italy!
Robin Hobb! Fantastic.. you should read the Magic Ships trilogy😊. It got me completely hooked on Robin Hobb. I have the Kobo Aura H2O, second one already since I started reading on e-readers. My next one will be another Kobo.
Excellent review, I have an Oasis and have just preordered the new Kindle Paperwhite. But whilst waiting I have been looking around and this Kobo caught my eye. You covered a lot of the points I had and have made my decision making easier. The only hesitation I have is that there doesn't seem to be a way to send books over-the-air to the Kobo, you have to always connect it to the computer...
Thank you and Yes. If you are not using overdrive or buying from the kobo store then it’s a limitation. The upper models - Forma and Elipsa does have Dropbox connectivity.
Thanks for the great review. I was in a dilemma between Kindle paperwhite or Kobo Libra. The things i do not usually access are Audible and Amazon Prime membership and Onedrive. I have tons of epub and CBR files for my books and manga and knowing that Kindle takes me time to convert these is quite a hassle for me (our PC is also old so using Calibre is still not a great alternative for me to convert to Mobi files for Kindle.) So it’s the Kobo for me. Mainly because of the file format. :)
GREAT REVIEW and YES, it is the little things that matter. I wasn't sure if I was going to purchase this; however, after you thorough review, I just may pulled the trigger. I want to upgrade from my old Nook Simple Touch E-reader (LOL). I also found a software where I can transfer all the books that I already purchased and load them on the Kobo Libra H20. Thank you for your time.
@@garymorton9426 you probably can. In my opinion though I think that's just a hassle having to use programs to convert. With the kobo it's a plug and play, drag and drop :)
I've also been irritated about the lack of edges to hold on to on the kobo glow HD, but I realized that if I switch the page turn settings to only register swipes I can hold my thumb on the screen and it works perfectly without any annoyances.
Yes, one of the reasons I chose the libra h20, and you’ll see in the video it gives me something to hold which I didn’t find with the kindle paper white or other smaller units.
thanks for the good review. I have had a basic Kindle for many years but it does not work anymore. I am thinking about buying this Kobo Libra. Having 7" is a winning aspect for me. Hope I can use or convert all the MOBI books I have in my computer too. Also EPUB format is more widely available.
Thanks Xavier. ePub files are not a problem. The MOBI format, if I remember correctly, might be something you can convert in a tool like Calibre? Worth checking out. calibre-ebook.com/demo
I signed up to my state library system and it doesn't seem to support Overdrive (only a few libraries do in my state) but you can still use Adobe digital editions to send the book to your Kobo. Not as seamless but just as simple.
Hi Muzammil - If the plastic was high gloss (or glass), yes, I expect it would add a glare to it. I would not bother with a protector. The unit is tough enough for typical use so I'll just leave it to do its thing as it's great the way it works now.
The main reason I want the kobo is to use overdrive (not available on the kindle in Canada) and some purchases. My main worry is that when I’m on my iPad for long periods of time I get headaches and feel nauseous. Does anyone have this problem? If so, is this a problem you get on the Kobo too?
Personally, no. But I'm not a medical professional. I would recommend you take regular visual and mental breaks for any extended reading periods as having your focus on one point can't be good. The eInk is really easy to look at, especially in daylight. It's a very difference experience to reading a high glow OLED / glass screen like an iPad. I'm also interested to hear if others have your experience and how they feel about it. Thanks for your question! Mark
If you focus on anything for a long period of time you might get a headache. I can even get them from reading regular books for hours and hours. But, that being said, you are a lot more likely to get them from looking at a screen, like the one on your ipad. E-ink displays are more like actual paper than a screen for the eyes, so I think you’re a lot more likely that to get headaches from your iPad than from a e-reader.
Excellent review and engagingly presented. I have a 6" Onyx Boox Poke 2 that I love but, being a fan of eink devices, I shall check out the Kobo. Also RUclipsr My Deep Guide really rates the Kobo though hasn't yet reviewed it.
Thank you for your both technical as practical review! You don’t have a case for it. Did you buy one later on? Do you think a case would be useful to make it less susceptible to damage of the glass (is it glass?). Thank you!
I’m not sure a case is needed. I’ve travelled a lot with mine and not had a problem. Certainly get one if you’re concerned. I think it’s a plastic face, not glass.
Do you need to upgrade? And if you’re happy on kindle you could stay there. I’d not see a reason to change formats if you’re already heavily committed to one ecosystem.
Thanks for a great review. Have you tried transferring from Borrowbox via Adobe Digital Editions, or does this not work? I'm looking for an e-reader, as I read a lot of books on my phone but much prefer the e-ink interface. However, I use Borrowbox from my local library a lot, so I'm struggling to find the right e-reader!
While my library doesn't use that, you could try using ADE, or if you're willing to put up with shorter battery life and more potential distractions, then their Android tablet app on a Boox or Likebook e-reader could also be an option.
Love your review... answered many of my questions. Can you comment if you can upload PDFs, or website pages, and read and/or annotate those documents on Kobo Libre? Thank you
Hi and thanks! Yes, you can load PDFs to it from a computer (not from an online source). Website pages it can load but limited experience. Yes, you can annotate documents. Hope that helps. Mark.
Does the Libra support the use of Dropbox for non-protected ePub or PDF files for synchronisaton? If this does not work, I guess the only other way would be to use the open source software Calibre with a a wired connection between computer and Libra which I assume would work? Great Review!
Hey Daniel, thanks for the question. I don’t believe it does. I have also been thinking that Calibre would be a solution that should work no problem. You can transfer non-DRM for the Kobo via USB from Computer. So, 👍🏻
This is an awesome review! But may I just ask... can you sync you google playbooks library on this one? I read from my phone for years and used Playbooks along with it. I’m just wondering if the files in my google playbooks library can be transferred and be synced if I use this ereader? Many thanks!!
Thanks for the questions Melowcholy. I have tried exporting a book from my Google Playbooks in PDF format and can see no reason it could not be transferred to my Kobo. It was a free ebook so I'm not sure about purchased items. If you can export your purchased books without DRM I don't see any blockers. Needs to be tested though.
The only issue with PDFs I’ve had is of the PDF was not saved in an ‘editable’ format. If it’s saved as a collection of rasterised images then you won’t be able to edit the font size. If it’s a good/legit PDF you can change font sizes no problem and reading is good. Hope that helps. If it’s not clear let me know. Mark
I'm deciding between the Kobo Libra and the Kobo Forma. I'm thinking I might like the size of the Libra and the flush screen of the Forma. If you considered the Forma, was there anything that convinced you to buy the Libra instead?
Hi Lana - I didn't go for the Forma as I didn't see any reason to pay extra for the features that it came with. After trialling the Libra h20 I was satisfied with the experience and the bevel edge didn't bother me. I like that the Forma has dropbox integration which will be a must have for some people. Personally, I think it's shortsighted of kobo to not offer this on lower models also, unless there is a technical reason for this. If you have the extra $$ and want the flat screen then go for it. I wouldn't say no to a flat screen but I didn't want an extra inch on the screen also - I still want it small and portable. So the difference between 7" and 8" mattered to me. The rest of the specs - HDD size, 300 ppi, Comfort Light, Overdrive etc are all the same pretty much. Hope that helps?
@@lanazak773 And what are your thoughts on it? I was looking at the Kindle Oasis honestly but I want something I can easily transfer my book files to...I originally had a Nook e-reader and have 800 books (a librarian gave me her library lol). So I'm really trying to start over.
buying 2 for xmas pressies for my kids . thank you. One thing, is it left handed. I know that seems like a stupid question i assume you turn it upside down but i dont want to buy it for the lefty and find it annoying cos he has to hold it in his right hand all the time.
I am left handed but it doesn't really matter. When you turn it over everything adjusts automatically. I flip the kobo over frequently to give each hand a rest from holding it.
Thanks for the review. Two questions, my Paperwhite does a poor job displaying illustrations such as photos and maps. Since you owned a Kindle how do you compare illustrations on the Kobo. On my older Kindle I was able to “blow up” the picture to better view it. Will the Kobo do this.
I like the size because it’s portable, doesn’t take up a lot of room on my side table and I find it easy to hold. If I was a big fan of reading hardbacks and reading a lot (a lot) I could see the appeal of a larger eReader but for me, I’ve never found myself thinking I’d prefer any other size. Hope that helps somewhat and thanks for the question! Mark
I agree, this is the best e-reader! but I have a question to you that I can't solve since I've bought this device a year ago. The question is how to use properly the footnotes??... that is to say, if I click in any footnote obviously the device shows inmediately the explanation about it BUT the question is, how I get back to the start page??. Because when after reading any footnote the device doesn't recognize where your start page was so you have to guess and find it at random where it was and that's a terrible thing to do and obviously makes imposible and fluid the reading. Any tip about it?. Thanks in advance.
I honestly have no idea in this one but your explanation is very succinct. I’d cut and paste that to Kobo support and see what they say. They’ll might need to add in a ‘back’ function perhaps?
HI, great video. How easy is it to transfer pdfs on to the kobo? I am a researcher and feel bad for printing research articles. I hate reading off the computer screen, and so think it is time I invest in a Kobo
As easy as plugging the kobo in to your computer and dragging the files on to it. Very quick. You just want to be confident your pdf files aren’t just images that have be saved as a pdf. If the text can still be selected if you drag your mouse across it on your computer you’ll be fine.
I'm thinking of upgrading from my battered paperwhite to either a H2O or 2018 Paperwhite. Cool video, helped me out. Also, ereaders are definetely the best way to start reading more, but it has to be a *_good_* e-reader, I had a kindle touch before my current paperwhite and I never used it. Mostly because it didn't have a back light and the screen looked a bit mediocre. When I got my paperwhite in autumn 2018, I went from reading almost nothing to reading 5 million words each year. I once read through 1 million words in a week even.
I just got one and wondering if there's a way of viewing all my highlighted notes together as well as loading new words into a personal dictionary. Thanks for your review.
You can but I believe it’s book specific. You can start with this article and then at the bottom you will see where it talks of viewing all highlights. Hope it helps somewhat. Mark help.kobo.com/hc/en-us/articles/360017481334-Highlight-text-on-your-Kobo-eReader
Hi Henry - thanks for the question. You can download direct from the kobo store (free and paid books exist). You can also download direct from a library using Overdrive. Hi! Hope you notice. Just curious. Can you remove that glitch-like effect whenever you swipe the device. That black and white effect change sometimes feel annoying. Hoep to get answer. I want to have Kobo Libra H2o. Im from the Philippines but I can afford to buy one.
It’s important for eInk readers to refresh their screens to remove any artefacts left from previous content on the screen. It’s a normal function. The kobo, remarkable and most all do it and, it only happens on page changes not when reading. Hope that helps! Mark
Is that a hotspot on your desk there... and getting 1 bar wifi on it? Jkjk, great review. Thanks! I appreciated your take on this as I'm coming from the same place.
I haven’t tried the others. If you need color then that might make the decision for you. E.g illustrated comics and novels. Price also a consideration. If your just reading books and PDFs etc then anything will do IMO.
Hi Howard. Thanks for you comment. Key differences IMO. Oasis is more expensive. Kobo doesn’t support audio books or the ability to email files to it. The rest I believe is covered in the video. I’m still really enjoying how easy overdrive is and my kobo h20.

Reasons to get the forma over the libra would you want a bigger screen, the forma is 1” bigger and/or you want Dropbox support, which would be handy. It bothers me Dropbox support doesn’t exist for all their ereaders but, overdrive has been enough for me mostly. Hope that helps!
@@MakeLifeClick I have Kindle paperwhite and it bothers me coz the screen is too small. I think either 7" or 8" is ok for me. I really do not need DropBox. I don’t know if you’ve mentioned it but how many books can this thing hold. I have about 150 books already that are about 300 plus pages. Some less. Could I continue to hit books harder with this or might I run out of space quickly
Hi again Nana Banana! The storage on the libra h2o is 8gb. Some of that memory is taken up with the operating system. Let’s assume you have 6GB left, conservatively. The average eBook is around 1MB. Even if the eBooks were larger you could easily store a few thousand books on one. I’m not sure what the performance would be like but no reason for there to be any issues. Hope that helps!
I have a kobo clara hd which I love, but I don't use it enough because I have other e-readers I use mostly. I've had a problem with overdrive on the kobo because I use two libraries. One of my libraries allows me to download 20 books and one allows me to download 10 books. However, the kobo only lets me borrow 20 books using overdrive. On the Kindle, I'm able to borrow all 30 books using overdrive.
Wow! That’s awesome. I don’t have that capacity but good on you. I haven’t test my library. I would say if your kindle works for your 30 books then stick with it for sure.
how is the battery life? i have a 10-year-old kindle 4 and the battery used to be phenomenal on it: would last me a month with 4-5 hours of reading every day! i heard that the new e-readers have shit battery life (smaller batteries, bigger and higher resolution screens, built-in light - though that can be turned off).
Hey - you’ve certainly highlights some good reasons why newer devices will drain the battery faster. I use mine at night a lot with a faint backlight on which increases battery use but don’t find I’m charging more than once a month. I don’t read 4-5 hours a day though. If you can’t charge it once or twice a month I’m not sure what model would suit you. Most of us have ready access to charging stations at least that often.
@@MakeLifeClick i was looking at the Faust 2 e-reader by Onyx Boox and at least on paper it looks good to me: 6" display, lower resolution, 3000mAh battery and physical buttons on both sides. but i can find very few english-language reviews! i'd like to know about the build quality and general quality control. i wonder if the company is somewhat shady!? (they ship from the US, but most of the reviews i found were in russian).
Love my Libra. But I just received a firmware update that added a new button menu to the UI. It looks crappy...Even the font doesn't match with the rest of the UI LOLs..
@@MakeLifeClick Mine is set to auto-sync so I guess it's running the latest patch. It's probably just a bad UI design, aesthetically. 7.17 Everything at the top left stacked menu is moved to the new bottom menu :(
Completely fair. For me this wasn’t a consideration. Does seem odd to me that it doesn’t support them. I mention that towards the end of the video. You can listen to audio books on Kobo on the smartphone and computer apps but not the readers. Doesn’t make a lot of sense.
Sorry one more question,: I don’t have a computer; will I be able to download library books directly through the device or do you need to download to a computer first? Thanks
You can download directly to the device from the Kobo store or from Overdrive connected to a library. You can't email books to your Kobo like you can with Kindle - at this time. To finish answering your last question - I wasn't concerned about the selection on the store because: 1: Overdrive connects with the library so I get access to all those books 2: Kobo has a good selection and I'm not that fussy about what I read and when. I just need to find a good book. 3: If I reaaaaally need to get hold of a book I can download it and transfer it to my Kobo via USB. So ultimately I can always get it if I really want it (not as easy for you if you don't have a computer). All that to say, if Kindle is working for you then consider the benefits there. Hope that helps! Mark

Thank you. Glad it helped!
Kindle oasis international edition has no ads. This kobo standby mode front book cover visible feature is an awesome thought.
Agree. Yes, not a kindle hater at
All. The price on the oasis is quite high though.
How's your kobo going?
Finally someone that reflect my experience with ereaders! I was NOT a paper reader, for me is annoying. But I can read a lot with my kobos. I started 5 years ago and now i read a lot of good books that, in fact, changed my life! Cheers from Italy!
Awesome. I’m still working on reading more. Grazie!
Robin Hobb! Fantastic.. you should read the Magic Ships trilogy😊. It got me completely hooked on Robin Hobb. I have the Kobo Aura H2O, second one already since I started reading on e-readers. My next one will be another Kobo.
Nice one. Thanks. I’ll check out the Magic Ships trilogy too. 👍🏻
I have tons of epub and CBR files for my books and manga and knowing that Kindle takes me time to convert these is quite a hassle for me (our PC is also old so using Calibre is still not a great alternative for me to convert to Mobi files for Kindle.)
So it’s the Kobo for me. Mainly because of the file format. :)
Hope that works for you. If you’re not tied to the amazon ecosystem the libra is a great option. If you are tied to it, no reason to change.
Great review! I am convinced and have already ordered one. Thanks. Liked & subscribed.
Thanks for the sub! Trust you will enjoy reading on the Libra as much as I am.
just bought this right after this video. Great suggestions.
Ha! No pressure! Hope you like it as much as I do.
Enjoying your kobo?
GREAT REVIEW and YES, it is the little things that matter. I wasn't sure if I was going to purchase this; however, after you thorough review, I just may pulled the trigger. I want to upgrade from my old Nook Simple Touch E-reader (LOL). I also found a software where I can transfer all the books that I already purchased and load them on the Kobo Libra H20. Thank you for your time.
You’re welcome! Glad it helped. 👍🏻
this is sooooo useful i just bought the libra h20 and am so excited to use it!
So glad it was helpful! Thanks.
Kobo all the way! Amazon e-readers are to restrictive and will not allow you to upload your own epub or pdf files you may have. Great video ! 😁🔥
Thanks Sebastian, and thanks for the tip on the uploads. That’s helpful for people to know. 👍🏻
Can't you use calibre on a PC to upload them to a Kindle?
@@garymorton9426 you probably can. In my opinion though I think that's just a hassle having to use programs to convert. With the kobo it's a plug and play, drag and drop :)
I can't believe HBO is cool with him hosting this series! ❤️
You’re too kind.
"Well done me!" haha, good job! I already hit the like button! 😁 oh, and I have a question: does it have Pocket integration like other Kobo devices?
Hey - yes it does. 👍🏻
@@MakeLifeClick Nice! Thank you! 😀
Nice review! You got me when you compared it to your Strato :-D
Haha! It has to be good to get that level of praise. My Strat has been with me for decades and still plays like a dream.

@@MakeLifeClick thank you!
I signed up to my state library system and it doesn't seem to support Overdrive (only a few libraries do in my state) but you can still use Adobe digital editions to send the book to your Kobo. Not as seamless but just as simple.
Yeah, if overdrive is essential it’s worth finding a place to sign to first. Adobe works as you say, not quite seamless but it works. 👍🏻
this thing had oddly few reviews of it out there, thanks for this. ordered mine just now...
There is no way for reviewers to make referral money on kobo so less people review them. Hope you enjoy yours!
A demonstration of the PDF abilities would be nice. I got an older KOBO which is super slow.
Hi James - I'll certainly add that to the list of upcoming videos. Might slot it in to other features. Thanks for the request.
Thank you!!! Just what I needed to know!
You’re welcome. Glad it helped!
Thank you. Funny Overdrive/Other Library comment. I have been looking into Clara, but now I will take a look at Libra.
Thanks! As I say, once your reading you get lost in the book so features melt away but I’m still very happy with mine.
(11:11) Oh my. At least with the library in my area, they send a physical letter to confirm that the digital account has been created.
In this instance they would send a letter to their own address. :)

Finally! A great review for Kobo libra. Thank you so much
You’re welcome. Glad it helped.
Hello Make Click! Amazing Review. I am also planning to buy one this month. Would applying a protector (plastic or glass) add a glare to the screen?
Hi Muzammil - If the plastic was high gloss (or glass), yes, I expect it would add a glare to it. I would not bother with a protector. The unit is tough enough for typical use so I'll just leave it to do its thing as it's great the way it works now.
@@MakeLifeClick Thanks.
Yep! The experience should be a little different to just using the Kobo tablet app on the Boox.
I can see graphic comic lovers enjoying the Boox. Not something I need as I only read regular texts, but I can see the appeal for a lot of uses.
@@MakeLifeClick
Yep, I know what you mean, as my primary e-reader is a Likebook Mimas and I enjoy being able to read comics at close to print size!
Really great review! Super helpful
Thanks! Glad it was helpful.
Thank you for your insightful review. Very useful.
Thanks for the feedback. 👍
Hey! Amazing video! But if I already have an ePub or an pdf of a book. Can I still put in on the kobo?
Yes. You can add it by plugging it in to your computer and transferring the files. Very similar to an external hard drive.
Great review!! I will buy Kobo libra 😀
Thanks. Hope you like it as much as I do.
Love the review. Many, many thanks! #YouAreAStar :D
Thanks Radu - very kind of you. Glad you enjoyed it.

I've used the Nook for years but I'm tired of replacing it when it has issues and I'm thinking of switching away...
Hope the video helped with your research!
Nice, but what about the hundreds of books I have on Kindle?
Just take the loss of all the books?
Do you need to upgrade? And if you’re happy on kindle you could stay there. I’d not see a reason to change formats if you’re already heavily committed to one ecosystem.
Thanks for a great review. Have you tried transferring from Borrowbox via Adobe Digital Editions, or does this not work? I'm looking for an e-reader, as I read a lot of books on my phone but much prefer the e-ink interface. However, I use Borrowbox from my local library a lot, so I'm struggling to find the right e-reader!
This is something I’ve heard about but not tried. My kids use borrow box on their iPads but haven’t figured it out to get it to an ereader yet.
Mark.
@@MakeLifeClick Thanks 🙏 I ordered mine today. So looking forward to it.
So, 👍🏻
this review totally convinced me and it was also so entertainingg, you have such a fun personality🙌
Thank you Emilia, you’re very kind. Glad it was helpful for you!

Hello, Is there any problem in reading PDF files, something about the zoom? Thanks in advance...

@@MakeLifeClick Yes, that helps! Thanks for taking the time to answer. I just ordered the Libra H2O :)

And what are your thoughts on it?
Is this Kobo compatible with audible books?
Unfortunately, no. This will be a deal breaker for many but the app on my iPhone can handle them fine which is all I need.
The 300ppi is good but it’s not a graphic novel reader IMO.
Love it ✨
🙏 thanks.
Nice review! One question: would you advise a 7 inch e-reader like the Libra or something larger? I'm still thinking if I should go a e-reader
Mark
@@MakeLifeClick thanks for your reply Mark! Just went ahead for a Libra to try it out. Always a fan of books, so this is my first e-reader.
@@MakeLifeClick Thank you!
Thanks for the comment and good points you’ve shared. That’s an amazing increase in reading!

What happened with the audio at 8:24? I thought my speakers were malfunctioning!
Yeah. Microphone glitch I didn’t notice until way after shooting.
Which of the three do you think I should choose Kobo libra h2o, onyx boox poke 3, onyx 2 color?
I haven’t tried the others. If you need color then that might make the decision for you. E.g illustrated comics and novels. Price also a consideration. If your just reading books and PDFs etc then anything will do IMO.
I’m deciding between the Kindle oasis, and this is a e book h2 0
Hi Howard. Thanks for you comment. Key differences IMO. Oasis is more expensive. Kobo doesn’t support audio books or the ability to email files to it. The rest I believe is covered in the video. I’m still really enjoying how easy overdrive is and my kobo h20.
Hi what about dictionaries? I think Kindle is great for people learning foreign languages since it has some interesting features like Wikipedia, translation of text chunks , wordwise... In this sense, I would like to know what Kobo has to offer. Please help me decide!

Hi! Is it possible to transfer books from the computer to the Kobo device without the cable? I mean, is it possible to do it wirelessly?
You can purchase from the kobo store and the higher Kobo models have a cloud sync option. This model doesn't unfortunately which is a shame.
Would you recommend this more compared to Kobo forma? I cannot decide. Thanks in advance.
Jamie, I mean this in the nicest possible way but, how many books does one person need?? ;) You must read ALOT.
@@MakeLifeClick I read 8-10 books at a time.

what about PDF document experience? many thanks!

how is the battery life? i have a 10-year-old kindle 4 and the battery used to be phenomenal on it: would last me a month with 4-5 hours of reading every day! i heard that the new e-readers have shit battery life (smaller batteries, bigger and higher resolution screens, built-in light - though that can be turned off).

Can we read subscriptions of magazines in the device ?
They used to offer this but it was removed to focus on ebooks. Can see anything that has changes this recently. Shame really.
I just found out that the H2O does not do audiobooks, like the Kindle oasis does , I listen to alt of audiobooks so this is a deal breaker for me...
To finish answering your last question - I wasn't concerned about the selection on the store because:
1: Overdrive connects with the library so I get access to all those books
2: Kobo has a good selection and I'm not that fussy about what I read and when.
Mark
