- The original Jurassic Park cast returns in this new movie trailer for Jurassic World 4 - Origins. Alan Grant (Sam Neill) and Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) join forces with Jurassic World's Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard).
Following a devastating mainland attack by a dilophosaurus, a special Dino Crisis team is created to tackle the growing disaster. Officials track down the elusive Alan Grant (Sam Neill), who calls on his old partner Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) to help contain the catastrophe. This trailer reunites characters from the original Jurassic Park film and faces them off against series staples such as Velociraptors, Dilophaurus' and of course the T-Rex.
This is a parody trailer. That means it's not real. It was created using existing footage, edited together to form a stand-alone piece of work. Fan trailers (or concept trailers) are often misunderstood. These videos are created for entertainment purposes. They allow fans a chance to reminisce, whilst also gauging interest for an actual film.
This video was commissioned to the super talented editor Billy Crammer. The vision was to create a new trailer with strong throwback ties to the original film. The dilophosaurus, returning characters, footage from the first film etc. He provided a brilliant video, and I went in and edited it again to add my own touches. The trailer lists the title as Jurassic World: Origins
"Jurassic City" heralds the next chapter in the beloved "Jurassic World" franchise, promising to elevate the thrill to new heights. Set in a bustling metropolis, the film explores the consequences of mankind's audacious attempts to coexist with dinosaurs. As the boundaries between nature and civilization blur, chaos ensues when these prehistoric predators find their way into the heart of the city. With gripping suspense and jaw-dropping visual effects, "Jurassic City" offers an adrenaline-fueled ride, blending the awe of discovery with the terror of survival. Audiences are poised to embark on an epic adventure that challenges our understanding of the natural order and our place within it.

Once upon a time, there were multiple RUclips channels who just wanted to get views and subscribers. They’d do anything, even post fake videos on trailers of new movies.
I’m very excited for the new Jurassic World movie to come out but I can’t find a single video on RUclips that’s real.

Also OMG I love the call backs to EVERY SINGLE JURASSIC PARK MOVIE EVER!(except the fourth one for some reason) Plus I like the way they show Dinosaurs mixing in with our modern day society, and how crazy it all is to everyone.

Question: Why do you start the music during the green band logo?
Is there a creative decision with that.
Also, when making these, is there a fear that it's just a dinosaur montage? I know I had that fear with my upcoming project. I didn't just want it to be a "best of" monster clip show.
Usually I put a gag or joke during the green screen at the start. This time the trailer didn’t have any humor so I avoided it. The music starts midway through the opening scene, so I started the rain ambient noise earlier to help the audio ease in.
If you try to create a plot you can avoid the montage effect. The plot here is a little weak, but if you can find audio clips (or hire voice artists) it’s easier to give the video a more creative feeling.

@@VJ4rawr2 But like what's the creative choice with the sound or gag playing during the greenband? I would think it would effect the story or how people see the video. I usually play it straight to build the realism or believability.
But the sound or gag seems to be your thing specifically and I was wondering why.
Is it like a heads up to let people its fan made or is it a reference to something else like the simpsons couch gag or is it to let youtube know that this is edited?

So if you make something with a weak plot, do you want to add more or do you just leave it. How much is planned before making your videos? I'm not asking for advice, I want to hear your process basically.
@@Frankles2001 The motivation for messing with the green screen is to capture peoples attention instantly. Videos drop about 25% of viewers in the first 15 seconds. I figure that doing something unexpected makes people go "huh" and take notice. It's a ploy to retain viewers. I didn't do anything with this green screen because the trailer "feels" realistic so I didn't want to mess with that. This video is about as close as I get to trying to fool people. Usually it's pretty obvious my stuff is fan work.
Most of my trailers follow a pretty standard formula though. Start with a green screen gag, then play it realistic, only to get crazier as the video continues. I sprinkle a bunch of jokes in but people rarely pick up on them. If you pause on the Ellie Sattler newspaper in this video there's a bunch of easter eggs there, and I snuck in a shot of adult Lex reenacting the kitchen raptor scene (towards the end as a reference to everyone being back).
When starting a new video I have the story in my mind, and then I find footage to create that story. In the past I would use a movie trailer voice to push the narrative, now I prefer hiring voice actors to read lines (and couple them with reaction shots of the main actors). It's a lot easier to create a plot this way and helps you realize your vision.
