- Nothing is scarier to collectors than opening up an older Barbie, and finding her in less than perfect conditions. If you’re curious how I restore these beauties, this is the video for you! And this is the same way I wash all my hard plastic dolls and toys!
This video will contain a restoration and review of a doll I found at Goodwill! I will be posting all of these dolls as they were quite the special finds to find in the first place. As I’m sure all of them will need similar help!
I hope you all enjoy the video and most of all find it helpful so that when you find any Barbie, you can restore them with confidence!!
Things you will need for the restoration if you’d like to restore along with me!

Sometimes when I wash my barbies i feel like the doll spirit is like ahhhhhh so fresh and so clean clean. 😂 enjoyed this video.
Hahaha be like “Christ compels you!!” And watch her soul come right back.
I feel the same way. I feel like when I unbox a doll and give her a fresh wash and style she must feel like “ so this is what a day at the barbie spa feels like after 30 years of being stuck in a box”
@@disneybarbiegirl615 hahaha that too...
She turned out beautiful! I love that you show the whole process. My version of this doll came with the Superstar jewelry which was a nice surprise.
Thank you! I’m so glad you enjoyed it! I wanted the one with the superstar jewelry, however, this one I found in the wild. And I couldn’t leave her! I am happy I got her because I do feel as if I saved her
@@disneybarbiegirl615you are truly a savior! This girl was filthier than Xtina in Dirrty.
Love it! Great job on the final result. She’s just like new. Love the editing style!
Great restoration!😍One of the things I love about 80s and early 90s Barbies is that most of their fashions can be changed into different styles. It's such a shame Mattel doesn't do that anymore!😭
It’s a shame they don’t do a whole lot anymore lol 😂
@@disneybarbiegirl615 All we have now is a bunch of potato sacks, and they call them "fashions"🤣
@ lol 😂 Walmart has better fashions than Barbie currently
She is absolutely gorgeous. Congratulations
Beautiful job cleaning her up. I love her hair. ❤❤❤
Aww thank you so much! I’m proud of her! 😊
it's so satisfying watching the doll get cleaned 🧼🚿
I never got this doll back in the day, but now I think I might want her. Next time I see her cheap I'll probably get her. She cleans up nicely.
Lovely Barbie flowery dress 🌺🌸🏵️🌼
I adore you. I’m really excited to see your channel blow up and keep growing. Been watching your content since your first few videos and have stayed ever since. So nice to see someone love this era of Barbie as much as I do.
Another beautiful Barbie brought to life again! Great video!
Greetings from Greece ❤ During my collecting journey I follow your videos and all your advices, you’re an absolute inspiration and a warm companion to me. I collect Barbies from 70s-90s and I follow step by step your restoration videos. I’m fortunate enough to be an airline crew, flying to the states often I manage to find goodies in eBay, and that’s how I was able to collect my precious girls ❤️ I love your humour and energy. Keep up making your wonderful videos ! - Evan ❤️
That is so sweet! It is so nice to hear about your collecting journey, and to be a part of it! It’s very nice to meet you Evan, thank you for being here!!:)
she is so beautiful, i just love those late 80's and 90's Barbie dolls. Thanks for sharing.
I love how you brought her hair back to life, so pretty! 🤩
My mom had this specific barbies as a kid she was really special to my mom because my mom and her 2 other sisters didnt get dolls that much but when Christmas came my grandmother took them toy shopping where my mom chose her! She still has her original doll with a NIB one she kinda inspired to collect dolls too 😁
I too love the vanity.I am craving an old barbie house of some sort too.I got the old reading barbie kitchen years ago, one of my all time faves. It's set up in my living room.Right now Frank Sinatra barbie is having a big turkey dinner with many barbies.Got chairs , couches etc, lol.there is another party under my little xmas tree with many others. They are spreading to my computer desk now.
Awww! 🤩Yes you did a fantastic job and I like what you share regarding some background of each Barbie's story- Thank you!🙂
Her model/makeup version of the face (Malaysia version) is for me the most beautiful in the entire history of Barbie faces and makeup (I'm not exaggerating). She is so classic, soft, gentle and not sexist. In keeping with the spirit of the era of Barbie's painting-drawing (like Paper Doll) style at that time. thanks for that video
Yes! And so different from the China version. Who has much harsher makeup. That’s what I love about this doll. She’s subtly fabulous. Just the right amount of camp. And versatile, for any outfit you’d want to put her in!
@@disneybarbiegirl615 Absolutely. And like her... Barbie 'Pretty Perfume' (olso the Malaysia version) are also top of the line for me.
Wow what you did was magic!!! She’s breathtaking😍😍🩷🩷 i want one now😂
I love that you show the full process instead of skipping every step lol you did such a great job!
she's stunning! 🩷🩷🩷
I was fortunate my mom gave me this doll when I was a child and she was so excited to give it to me because she knew I would love it as Peaches and Cream Barbie was my all time favourite and Garden Party is like the purple version. Watching your video makes me feel like digging mine out and seeing if I can refresh her, I haven’t looked at her in years and I played extensively with my Barbies so I hope she is one that I didn’t play with till she and her outfit was wore out. Great video! ❤
That is so sweet! I am glad my video inspired you to revisit your childhood doll!! I bet she will look fabulous in no time, and will be so thankful that you’ve thought of her after all those years.
You are extremely talented with curling Barbie’s hair! I would love to see what you got for Christmas. 😊
love this single restoration videos 🫶🫶🫶, you really focus on the doll
How did I miss this!
She turned out absolutely stunning! I just got Dana and Diva (Rockers), both in box, and I'm so excited but scared to open them. Dana has that pleather-ish jacket and Diva's has that shiny duo-tone coating, and I reeeeally don't want them to chip or peel. But the boxes are in very questionable condition, so I'm expecting mold at the very least and a definite spa/laundry day for them both. Wish me luck! 😬☺
So fabulous! I do enjoy these videos!!!
Thank you so much! I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
@@disneybarbiegirl615- I even went hunting for this doll now! 🙈
Your videos are so soothing to watch. They're as good as cooking videos. Gosh, they even give me ideas about the dolls I have, but they're all new and not vintage because my stepfather threw all the original ones away because I was a boy. BUT, this also gets me interested in collecting a couple of special vintage dolls and using your tips to restore them! (Oh, wait, I do have a few vintage She-Ra dolls.)
@@brandonarkell5357 aww thank you so much! It’s comments like these that make me smile and want to make more and try to make them better! Whether the dolls are vintage or modern, one things for sure, each doll in ones collection is just as special as the person who owns it. Thank you!:)
currently restoring a new lot of pre-loved beauties, around 80 or so 😭💖 always enjoy coming across new videos from ya to keep me motivated lol 💯
Oh wow!! That’s a lot of salon clients. But you’ll get them all beautiful soon!! I’m happy to join you while you wash the dirt away.
i love your videos so much. you’re such a joy to watch. ❤ i love seeing your passion, talent and care in restoring dolls :)
Yay! my favorite kind of video
Literally one of my favorite RUclips channels. 😍 I'm a new subscriber and always look forward to every video that you share. If you can, please do a review on the Dance Magic Barbie doll from 1989. I remember you mentioning her and the Ken from that line in your Doll Haul video. I bought her for myself for Christmas and don't think I'll ever open her because she looks so beautiful being displayed on my shelf. 😁 Thank you for all that you do and share with us!
She’s so pretty. I love watching these videos and seeing the end result. You do such a fabulous job with the hair. I’ve done a few with curls but they don’t set as well as yours. It seems like the curls come out in a day or so. Then again, I don’t use a gel solution so that might be my problem. She is such a beautiful doll. I might have to add her to my collection!
Well thank you:) it’s definitely the gel! It makes such a difference, even though I don’t add crazy amounts as to not make the hair crunchy
Do you think you could scan the cardboard extras and post them up so we could print them for ourselves? That would be amazing 😍💖
That's a great idea! I should totally do that with all cardboard accessories. Especially stickers!
My brst friend and i went to a yard sale several years ago, and found some Barbie's. They were in various states of dirty, cracked boxes, they were a mess, to say the least. I couldnt leave them. I couldnt believe what i found in the boxes...insects, insect parts, webs, you get it. I could wait to get them home and cleaned...and this guy thought he had a gold mine...I let him know he really didnt...thats another story😅😂
Do I get an award for being 1st comment? 👀 awesome video! Always nice to find something you’ve been looking for. High satisfaction.
You get a solid 👍🏻 lol 😂 thank you
I learned alot from your tutorials and they work so well with my dolls. Hmmm ... if you have any inclination to do a DIY dragqueen Barbie ... that would be amazing
Haha I could always do my best.

Omg hiiiii!! So nice to meet you. Hope you enjoy the video!💜💜
Do u have a method for removing & returning those earlier superstar earrings that are so hard to remove but especially hard to put back properly?
This might be an off topic question, but how would you wash and style the hair of Barbie from Barbie and the rockers? 👁️👄👁️
I don’t keep them in box either. I have let those out to breath and have a spa day.
I see Sweet Roses furniture on Marketplace in Indiana at least once a month. FYI
Oh do you??👀
@@disneybarbiegirl615 About 2 weeks ago there was Sweet Roses kitchen and accessories. $20 but I don't collect furniture
Qaswe mklo💃👠🥺😭🙏💫👸
These videos are my ASMR videos. lol. I have 2 Pink and Pretty Barbies from 1981 (one with the superstar face and the AA version with the Steffie face) and I have no idea what type of hair they have. Their hair is in the original set, but the elastic bands have deteriorated and I want to wash them and reset their hair! I'd like to boil wash if it's safe...
@@peggyswierczewski7179 they both will have saran hair:) they’ll do perfect in a boil wash!
@@disneybarbiegirl615 Thank you! I will get some brace rubber bands and I still want to get the hair gel to make the solution. I am going to go through all the steps. And I feel confident that I can do this because of your channel. 💕
@ aww that’s so incredibly kind of you to say that!! Thank you. I’m sure you’ll do fabulous!!
@ Thank you! And if at first I don’t succeed, I can always do it again! What size braces bands do you use? I have 1/4” in my cart. Size may not matter much in this instance. Ba-zing
On camera, until the clothes hit tbe water and you started scrubbing the doll, nothing looked that dirty.
The camera really doesn’t show all the dirt as well as water does! She was filthy lol
If the doll was sold as new, what was wrong with it, it's Not necessary for washing her😢
You did an amazing job (as usual) but I can't get past how cheap these dolls look. Cardboard accessories and poor quality clothes are one thing but the visible seams up the fronts of her legs makes me say no thanks. Too bad because this doll does have a pretty face but I'll stick to collecting rock star and older versions.
Can someone explain to me how a doll can get so gross and dirty in box????
Time. I think she’s from the late 80s early 90s. That and the environment she’s stored in. Attics, basements, water damage etc.
