- It's Amazon Prime Day. Name the item, and it's probably on sale. The moment one hits the "Buy Now" button, Amazon workers will be fulfilling orders. Inside Edition visited a 150,000-square-foot Amazon facility outside Manhattan that specializes in same day delivery items. The site has 500 employees who will move an estimated 55,000 items this Prime shopping season. Jessica Teich from "Good Housekeeping" shared some of the items her publication tested and approved.
From the title, I thought this was going to be a report about Amazon workers being overworked to fulfill Prime Day orders.

As someone who works in one of the warehouses, all of the AC units in our warehouse had been broken since 2022. We just got the greenlight to fix half of them 3 weeks before prime.

It's a warehouse tf. If they want ac, they can work in the office or go to a warehouse that deals with food or products that have to be at room temperature or lower.

I work for Amazon and needless to say the hours sucked but the paycheck helped me pay for an anime convention in October. Totally worth it
As a current Amazon employee, people need to understand what we go through to get your orders to your door. This was a huge slap in the face to me. Not a single word about our work conditions or a thank you. McDonald’s gets $20 while hard working Amazon employees get only $16 per hour.

I used to work at Amazon. Prime Day isn't that bad. It's just 1 day of mandatory overtime.
Christmas is a lot worse with mandatory overtime for like 2 months, but they also hire like 100 new workers.
It’s changed now. It’s now 11-hour shifts and 2 weeks of mandatory overtime.
Prime day is a huge scam. They up the prices and then discount them. They either end up the same price as before or more than it was before. Theres been a few videos online tlwking about.

To be fair I think he’s talking about that specific warehouse. Because that warehouse has like around 500 workers. Compared to the one I work at which has around 5,000 workers
