  • What is a dust mite allergy? I'm Dr. Manan Shah, I'm an ENT and allergist with Wyndly Health. Dust mites are little creatures that are found everywhere. Everyone's house has them. It's not about whether your house is clean or dirty. Everyone has them. They live in the soft things in your house, like your pillowcases, like your bedsheets, like your carpets, and like your couch.
Unfortunately, some people start to get an allergy to them and they actually get an allergy to their poop, which is kind of gross. Anyways, if you have an allergy to dust mites, you're going to notice you're having congestion and runny nose and watery eyes year-round. And when that happens, it's not just in the spring, it's literally in the winter or anytime you're inside.
The good news is that there are treatments that can actually desensitize you to your dust mite allergy. Things like allergy drops or allergy tablets. If you'd like to learn more, please subscribe.

Hi since March, 23 i have been suffering from sudden allergic reactions that leads to skin rash (become like mosquito bites, or if i scratch more it becomes lines) and earlier it happened like for 2 to 3 hrs and gone on its own.. but now the condition has been worst, it's everyday and I am taking cetrizine 10 mg everyday which kinda help. But if i don't take the medicine it appears again . I am very much stressed out bcz of this. Please can you help me? I have consulted a doc last month he also told me to continue taking cetrizine but it's not going away

Has your condition improved since then? Because I'm having the same symptoms which started since November 2023 and cetrizine and bilastine does nothing to help me. I had to take steroid injections at the hospital cause it got so bad after a while to the point that my body gets swollen 😭

How are you now , same with me, I have been taking fexofenadine and montelukast levocetrine and tried all other anti histamines, but nothing providing relief, that moment I stop them, the allergy comes back, life’s hard, try including a exercise routine , bathe everyday with warm water and cover yourself fully while sleeping and during other activities as well.
