Gorgé de blues, de stoner et de funk, il possède un caractère jubilatoire et hautement addictif qui amène à sévèrement secouer du popotin. Un sentiment forcément exacerbé en conditions live où, sous la houlette d’un des meilleurs frontmen du circuit, l’électrique Neil Fallon, les concerts prennent une dimension sauvage.
Almost 30 years have passed since CLUTCH started delivering their brand of hard rock but their star has never shined as brightly as it does today. Gorged on the blues, stoner and funk, there is a sense of jubilation and auditory addiction that drives the band forward. This is all fuelled by a live show where, under the guidance of perhaps the best frontman in the world, the electric Neil Fallon, the shows take on a new dimension.

@Texan Robin Hood they do but mostly on smaller gigs, I reckon in big fests they push their newer material. But checking some recent setlists I can see they often play Big News 1 and 2 and other stuff from Clutch and Transnational.
@Texan Robin Hood Neil has stated in a few interviews that he feels like a 50-something year old man performing aggressive songs written by a 20 year old would be laughable at best, disingenuous at worst. He makes a pretty good point.

One of the best live bands on planet Earth (and beyond). Period.
If you're new to Clutch, (which I've seen every Houston show since 1992) then I encourage you to start at the beginning. Watch the transformation and evolution of their music. It's always hard, heavy but gets more and more intricate as the years go by. By far my favorite band of all time. Glad they never sold out.

All around great band. They straight up play music. I went to see them live last week when they came to Charlotte NC
Perfect explanation of the world's most criminally rock band. Their evolution from hardcore leaning, sabbath inspired rock to the force of nature they've become has been a joy to experience. Been going to Clutch shows since 1994. From Cleveland and Pittsburgh all the way to NE Florida where I currently live. Pure heavy rock.
CLUTCH is my generation’s Zeppelin imo. Best rhythm section in recorded history. JP is so effortlessly beating the tar out of the drums. Most underrated drummer of all time & honestly the best. Dan has ice water coursing through his veins. His fucking Rickenbacker tone is the voice of a generation. They both enter another realm when the lights come on.
You can tell this is a band with years and years of touring and rehearsal together. So perfectly tight.

Yeah, their show near me this year was cancelled due to the COVID-19 situation, but they are right at the top of my list when the chance comes around again.
I met this guys 3 years ago at a Lamb of God concert, in Riverside California.
Man... I didn't know the band, nor the lyrics, not a single song; but they totally put everyone on a really great mood.
They are such a great band, and performers... I enjoyed their music throughtly!!! 🤟😎🤙
Clutch is one of the very few bands that actually get better as time goes on. How they're not one of the biggest bands on the planet, ill never know. They have a groove that no other band really has.

Agreed!! I think it's all down to subject matter and how it's pitched. Radio and press want rock songs about relatable material for the masses. Clutch DOES NOT do that - and that's why they are so great.
I just discovered this band today and I've been wondering where they've been all my life. Awesome stuff! I wish I'd found them sooner but now that I have I'm happy. I too can't figure out why they aren't more popular. I guess most people don't want heavy rock music anymore, but I do.
Damn, this video just doesn't do Clutch enough justice.
The sheer energy when they go on stage is amazing. Have followed Fallon for a decade now, and its like being struck by a bomb of sheer energy once he rampts it up.

I am currently searching live videos trying to see an example of that energy and its just not the same on video. I saw them in Jacksonville in 2011 with Maylene and the sons of disaster. No clue who they were then but the way Neil turned that room into pure electricity turned me into a fan for life.
I've been a Clutch fan since the 90s, I've seen them 15 times live and it's always been a different set and they have never disappointed!

Yep, I've been watching bands since 1980. Saw Clutch for the first time just before lockdown in the UK. Don't know how I'd missed them but it was the best fucking surprise I've had in many years. Saw them a few days ago in Leeds, they were incredible.
Selfish of me to say so but yea, they gotta be. Keeps the gigs smaller and therefore better IMO 😁
So so good! While in quarantine, I need to remember to adjust my pants so I may dance the good time dance.

I'm 60 years old and listening to Clutch for the first time makes me feel like I'm 14 again and listening to rock and roll for the first time (i.e. that's good). Rock on dudes.
Everything about this is Soooo good. The transition from X-ray visions into Firebirds is wicked!!

this is not metal, this is the best blues rock in pure culture. A great band. That's how a frontman has to be, even if his lyrics are confused and incomprehensible. The guitarist is no virtuoso, but he doesn't have to be. As Clutch are, they are good.

Nice. Just looked mine up. October 1995. They had life sized cut-outs of Stormtroopers and Boba Fett on stage. A beardless Neil with horned rim glasses.
First time for me was 93 in lamoure's rock club in Brooklyn..been a fan since 92
He's got such a hell of a performance on stage, you cannot stop watching...Purely addictive. Hope to see them soon in Europe too :)

such an amazing and underrated drummer. im mainly a guitarist, but hes influenced me heaps too. this whole band has.
I love how the only constants in a clutch set are Mob and Worry and apart from that, they just focus on their new material in different configurations while spicing it up with old stuff here and there.

Im a newer fan of Clutch, found them a few years back. And been listening them on & off during the years. But after seeing them at the Tuska 2023 metal festival here in Finland, i became a true believer of their music. 👌👌🤘🤘

I was there! never expierienced anything of a live show like this, best live i ve seen on hellfest the video doesnt do justice to the atmosphere the whole crowd was electric

I was there too, with my 9 year old son as well and we both loved it. Atmosphere was amazing. He didn't want to get to close to the action, but we somehow found our way into it and he loved every minute of it.

I was at Hellfest 2019 and yet had no idea these guys were even there and never heard them once. So weird 😵 I looked over the setlist so lany tomws and yet still missed it. I at least saw them at Heavy Monteal the following month.
