I’ve watched this randomly now, I don’t know HOW many times. She’s a star on the rise. My first reaction was just like yours. “Wow... what a voice.”

I watched Lanie's cover of Dreams before I watched your reaction and I had very similar thoughts. She is not only young but also very talented. She sang this song with fantastic skill and a beautiful voice. It was pitch perfect. She also added a lot of charisma and joy. This made the video something I could watch and listen over and over. I watched a few other of her videos and I believe that dreams is one of her best.

Thanks for the review of this cover, you brought up a good point of younger people keeping the great music of the past alive. Probably they have heard their parents pop in a CD or play an MP3 and the song just strikes a chord with them. I find it refreshing.

That girl got a Beautiful voice when I first heard her sing i was blown away
This cover was sent to me in a link on facebook by a friend back in November. Fleetwood Mac has always been a favorite of mine and I have heard others do the cover of "Dreams" in the past. Some pretty good, some not. I thought, well, one more can't hurt to listen to. From the very instant Lanie opened her mouth, I was in her spell. The ease in which lyrics flowed from her being with that... smokey (not husky), fluid voice, was simply spell binding. Her body language was so in tune with the rhythm and beat of the soundtrack. When she looked at the camera and smiled, I almost fell off my chair. This kid is a natural (she's 21) and I am sure she will be a big star. Lanie is from North Carolina and has been singing for a number of years. I love this kid and I'm a big fan.
