2001 S.League Season Preview of Tampines Rovers FC

The 2001 S.League campaign saw Tampines Rovers create the biggest sensation in years, with the Marquee Player pre-season signing of Brazilian striker, Renato Martins!
The club led by captain Lee Man Hong, also saw local familiar names like Syed Faruk and Nahar Daud, while the foreign signings included Sead Muratovic, Joselita da Silva and Adraino Reis.
The club's chairman was Teo Hock Seng (dubbed as the Godfather of Singapore Football), the manager was Francis Wong and head coach was, V. Sivalingam.
