    For me Hisense would take a leap potentially ahead of TCL if they can ditch there VIDA OS for Google TV like what they run - waaay better imo.

      Hisense does use Google TV in some regions like the US but not in others. Not sure why they do this.

    Rolling my eyes at a TV with good audio when I've invested in a 7.2.4 AVR, much rather see investment in a 12bit panels and full 4K/120hz gaming which I'm betting they still don't have.

      @@RedLeo-pf9yo Yes, I'm aware, just stating my need for use with an AVR and also hoping they didn't pull the same crap they did with that half resolution nonsense again for 4K/120.

    Hisense U8 TVs Speakers are not going to be as good as a Surround Sound System

    • @valensquinn9009
      @valensquinn9009 Год назад +1

      True, but if you don't want one, at least you're getting a very good set of speakers in the TV that will do a much better job of creating a soundstage with directionality. Normally, conventional TV speakers are pretty poor.

    • @birdtj82
      @birdtj82 Год назад +2

      It’s like go find ANY TV speaker 🔊 better than surround sound 😮.
      It’s arguing back wards ! Most ppl don’t want surround sound . If u want one ☝🏼 great . If ppl can’t afford one ,.., they get upgraded TV sounds !
      It’s NOT for change- High Busget consumer shopping 🛍️habbit, but for upgrade -mid budget consumer using experience!
      It’s like if a small car 🚗 has hatch back to fit more storage space … a dude “it’s NEVER 👎🏻 big enough to beat SUV 🚙!” That car is not targeting d SUV consumer Market(to Try to DITCH big SUV to go to Small car Hatch Back )

    Absolutely wrong. The 2022 u8h 65 in had 504 dimming zones the 75 in 526 and the 55 in has 336. You are doubling the dimming zones in each modem for 2023 please get your information correct.

    • @valensquinn9009
      @valensquinn9009 Год назад +1

      Got the dimming zones details straight from Hisense's execs on the stand so I'm assuming it's correct. Will see what I can find out.

    COMPLETELY WRONG information provided at 5:53. The RUclipsr reports that the 100L9HU laser projector, according to Hisense, delivers 107% of the Rec. 2020 color gamut. He then states that this is more colors than the human eye can see. This is factually so wrong. The range of colors that the human eye can perceive is defined by the CIE 1931 color space. The Rec. 2020 color space gamut is a subset of CIE 1931 and therefore not as large. The Rec. 2020 color space covers only 75.8% of the CIE 1931 color space (reference: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rec._2020). Therefore, even at 107% of Rec. 2020, this would only represent 82.8% of CIE 1931, i.e. 82.8% of the total colors that the human eye can perceive.
    A word of caution, one would be wiser if not taking manufacturer claims at face value as we have seen time and time again that manufacturers have a tendency to inflate specifications. Until a highly qualified coloronetrist armed with a laboratory grade colorimeter, typically costing in the ranges of $10K to $30K, along with the appropriate software can measure the image reproduced by the projector and empirically validate those claims, those claims remain anecdotal and unproven.
    Furthermore, even if the 100L9HU laser projector is actually capable of reproducing 107% of the Rec. 2020 color gamut, the practical benefit of this ability is of questionable added value. If one considers the highest quality video delivery platform presently on the market, arguably 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray discs, while this technology uses Rec. 2020 as its color space, in practice about 95% of the 4K Ultra HD movies are actually encoded with the DCI-P3 color space, which itself only covers 53.6% of CIE 1931. In reality, the Rec. 2020 color space is used as a container for the reduced and inferior DCI-P3 color space. Things only get worse when viewing video content at 4K over the Internet from various streaming services that further compress video streams compared to 4K Blu-ray because of bandwidth limitations and sometimes throttling practices employed by some providers. In the end, the claimed increase coverage of Rec. 2020 makes for a theoretical muted selling point.
