There is so many misconceptions shared in this video. I will have to read his book to see if the concepts shared in this profoundly inaccurate video are actually shared by Paramahansa Yogananda.

I am here because of Him. My mother had miscarriages before i was born and while she was pregnant with me, she had moments where she felt like she was about to lose me too. My parents at that time lived in a very remote, insurgency affected area in India. That day when my mother was in excruciating pain, my father called up Yogoda Satsang Society and they asked him to light a few candles in the house while they prayed for my mother and her unborn child...and here I am, a rainbow baby.. my parents' first born. I'm turning 25 soon.

i was raised catholic too, but I am no longer Catholic, after learning about meditation and eastern mysticism, and learning about how corupt the Catholic church has been throughout the centuries, especially thru the dark middle ages. So my question to you is: why are you still Catholic after learning the truth?

I was introduced to that amazing book in 1988 by my roommate who was a regular meditator.I started to meditate & had a brief kundalini experience...a rush of Shakti upward into my brain. It wasn't until 1992 when I took a kundalini masterclass from an Indian sage,s workshop, that I,after his shakti-pat interface directed our focus on the 3rd eye during meditation,had 3 nights later,2 back to back kundalini awakening experiences during my meditation.1 I later learned is called-Sucking the nectar Amirt. It was in 1993 that after surfing at Swamiis in Encinitas Calif that I than went to the SRF temple to meditate.1 hour later as I walked out of the Chapel I felt a decided disconnect from my ego.I was feeling what I now understand was a linked in connection to my unconscious mind=so much inner peace without any mental machinations. I now live in Encinitas meditating 6 days a week at the J street SRF meditation center. I also try & spread the message of this book by Spiritual Savant Sri Yukeswar:The Holy Science on the internet. . Wow. I love the straightforwardness of this lecture. He just layed the mysteries all out in plain view. So many people seem to hide the truth behind vague sayings, metaphors, parables etc, maybe because they themselves don't know what they're talking about or maybe because they don't think people are ready to hear the truth.

Many teachings often use metaphors or parables, which can sometimes obscure the message, either due to tradition or the belief that people may not be ready for the direct truth. I think it's mostly because most of the so called spiritual guides might have had experiences of astral world but are unable to comprehend or furthermore explain it to another person in a logically comprehendible way.

The only thing that brought me out of it was to think of the beauty and peace of the higher Astral plane. I quickly went from anxiety and depression to an experience of real joy.

@@billrener4897 same!! That's where I reside and being in that area has allowed my entire emotional and mental worlds be literally like from hell to a heaven!! Never knew or believed how to recognize that space until 2 1/2 yrs ago... Was able to get 100%sober, happy, off all health and mental depression medications and turn literally completely around... I think I was so disconnected and nothing felt deep enough to be worth experiencing or striving to move towards... UNTIL I went into that realm and it now allows me to recognize substance in everything!!! 🥳🥳🥳❤️❤️❤️
As much as Yogananda’s biography influenced so many of us. In this day and age, his (and pretty much everyone up until the last 40 years in western societies) always refers to “men/male” as Guru/The Divine. We’re past that now. Language holds meaning, it’s time to find new terms, ones which are without gender bias and are inclusive. Since “The All that is” has all genders and forms unified as one.

While traditional language often used male terms, the essence of his message applies universally to all beings. The master utilizes Judeaol/Christian concepts at an esoteric level so walk carefully when you try to interpret his message.I have noticed a lot of misunderstandings in the comments.If your going to follow Yoganada you better have read Shri Yukteshvar and a lot of Patanjali and the Gita.Then he might be understood-this is a very deep form of Yoga and requires a teacher.

I agree with most things said. But you should definitely look closely at what you eat and drink. It has a huge effect on your health and thinking. Most of the suffering on this world is because bad food, eating to much food and alcohol.

However, in this particular lecture on the Astral World, he focuses on a higher perspective, encouraging us not to be overly concerned with food or pills. He reminds us to focus more on uplifting our consciousness and connecting with our true astral nature, where true healing and freedom from suffering can be found. While diet and physical health are important, Yogananda’s main point here is that our true essence and control over the physical body come from the subtle energy and guidance of the astral plane. By connecting with this higher awareness, our physical dependencies naturally find balance. However, this does not mean we should consume alcohol or unhealthy foods, as he has repeatedly discouraged such habits in other lectures. Rather, we should make conscious choices that support both our physical and spiritual growth.
What the essence of God comes from his form nor the impersonal form .wr have our human form but our real spiritual form is dormant but it is a form .that is a great blunder to think the ultimate is the impersonal aspect of God. It is a great offence its called mayavadi. I cannot speak to the "intentions" of the narrator of this video, but I can attest to its accuracy of Yogananda's teachings (and already am aware of his name by many of my friends/YT favorite podcasters). I have heard no less than 3 truths that spirit has also given to me mentioned here , such as the wars being fought only for the continents and Earth to still be standing JUST as if no wars took place in " 100 years time", as well as the tips for "mental imagery" which I also have most recently been working to attune as well (I am innately better at clairsentience or clairaudience than any mental images or imagination abilities). I wish it's true. I've lost my brother and if it's true that he keeps on living, it gives me comfort. I want to meet him again. His innocence that I can't see kills me every day.
We are souls connected to the highest heaven. We are eternal. Isn't that amazing! Souls who come down into physical bodies do so either because of karma, or they want to master this plane and bring light. This plane is not meant as a punishment that one needs to escape from; that was not its original purpose. What happened is being in the physical, one can get trapped by believing it is the only world, and thus some, instead of seeking connection to spirit, choose to use the physical to conquer others, or use them for their pleasure, addictions, even to materialism. Those who come with karma are not judged, it is a matter of learning where they got stuck and to overcome it and grow. Those who come to bring light, help to clear the darkness so others can see. This can happen in many ways, one need not devote their lives to rescue people, as we spread light no matter where we are, even if we work at the post office! Blessings. We are from the 5th plane beyond astral and causal, the three worlds are a trap, we go round and round and aren't safe until we get beyond. Yogananda spoke of this, when Yukteswar visited him after death he told about the place in the upper causal where disciples could work towards the 5th plane and not fall back down to the astral world of illusion.❤

karma is a concept which seems to have originated in the Vedic religion. I have to wonder, when did it start anyway, when we were apes/amoeba's? It's like a chicken and egg situation. But, many near death experiencers do not directly mention karma as a reason to be born. If we come from God - all knowing - and are sent to earth to have experiences, so our soul can 'grow', what exactly are we growing towards/for, when we emanate from source anyway? I think Alan Watts summed it up when he said, "The meaning of life is just to be alive. It is so plain and so obvious and so simple. And yet, everybody rushes around in a great panic as if it were necessary to achieve something beyond themselves."

I was doing Gateway for about three weeks and I left my body for the first time, it was peaceful even fun , then it did happen again but because of the second time I put a pause on it for just now. This all stared with trying to find my path in life.

I was having a bad week. Not that bad but kinda low and felt like I was drifting and stumbled upon this last night. Just randomly played it without even thinking while falling asleep. Fell asleep exactly around the minute it ended. Completely healed me on some other level. I have read all of his books and haven’t found anything in this video that contradicts his teachings. I am sure he knows that the battle between good and evil is a fabrication and not based in logic. He ought of have known that all wars are bankers wars. It is up to us to know that government agents can only regulate commerce and not private people. Why is is we do not know that a U.S. Citizen is a U.S business and is spelled out at 15 U.S. Code § 4724 - Trade shows trade shows?

Autobiography of a yogi is one of my favorite books!
I was introduced to that amazing book in 1988 by my roommate who was a regular meditator.I started to meditate & had a brief kundalini experience...a rush of Shakti upward into my brain.
It wasn't until 1992 when I took a kundalini masterclass from an Indian sage,s workshop, that I,after his shakti-pat interface directed our focus on the 3rd eye during meditation,had 3 nights later,2 back to back kundalini awakening experiences during my meditation.1 I later learned is called-Sucking the nectar Amirt.
It was in 1993 that after surfing at Swamiis in Encinitas Calif that I than went to the SRF temple to meditate.1 hour later as I walked out of the Chapel I felt a decided disconnect from my ego.I was feeling what I now understand was a linked in connection to my unconscious mind=so much inner peace without any mental machinations.
I now live in Encinitas meditating 6 days a week at the J street SRF meditation center.
I also try & spread the message of this book by Spiritual Savant Sri Yukeswar:The Holy Science on the internet. .

Wow. I love the straightforwardness of this lecture. He just layed the mysteries all out in plain view. So many people seem to hide the truth behind vague sayings, metaphors, parables etc, maybe because they themselves don't know what they're talking about or maybe because they don't think people are ready to hear the truth.
Absolutely! It’s refreshing to see spiritual wisdom presented so clearly and directly. Many teachings often use metaphors or parables, which can sometimes obscure the message, either due to tradition or the belief that people may not be ready for the direct truth. However, when shared in plain view, it allows for deeper understanding and connection, making it easier for seekers to explore and realize these higher concepts on their own journey. ✨
I think it's mostly because most of the so called spiritual guides might have had experiences of astral world but are unable to comprehend or furthermore explain it to another person in a logically comprehendible way.

Never knew or believed how to recognize that space until 2 1/2 yrs ago... Was able to get 100%sober, happy, off all health and mental depression medications and turn literally completely around... I think I was so disconnected and nothing felt deep enough to be worth experiencing or striving to move towards... As much as Yogananda’s biography influenced so many of us. In this day and age, his (and pretty much everyone up until the last 40 years in western societies) always refers to “men/male” as Guru/The Divine. We’re past that now. Language holds meaning, it’s time to find new terms, ones which are without gender bias and are inclusive. Since “The All that is” has all genders and forms unified as one.
Thank you for your thoughtful reflection. Yogananda’s teachings indeed transcend gender, emphasizing the unity of all souls with the Divine, which is beyond form or gender. While traditional language often used male terms, the essence of his message applies universally to all beings. As we evolve in consciousness, the language we use can reflect that inclusivity, honoring the truth that “The All” unites all forms and genders as one.

The master utilizes Judeaol/Christian concepts at an esoteric level so walk carefully when you try to interpret his message.I have noticed a lot of misunderstandings in the comments.If your going to follow Yoganada you better have read Shri Yukteshvar and a lot of Patanjali and the Gita.Then he might be understood-this is a very deep form of Yoga and requires a teacher.

I agree with most things said. But you should definitely look closely at what you eat and drink. It has a huge effect on your health and thinking. Most of the suffering on this world is because bad food, eating to much food and alcohol.

However, in this particular lecture on the Astral World, he focuses on a higher perspective, encouraging us not to be overly concerned with food or pills. He reminds us to focus more on uplifting our consciousness and connecting with our true astral nature, where true healing and freedom from suffering can be found.
While diet and physical health are important, Yogananda’s main point here is that our true essence and control over the physical body come from the subtle energy and guidance of the astral plane. By connecting with this higher awareness, our physical dependencies naturally find balance. However, this does not mean we should consume alcohol or unhealthy foods, as he has repeatedly discouraged such habits in other lectures. Rather, we should make conscious choices that support both our physical and spiritual growth.
What the essence of God comes from his form nor the impersonal form .wr have our human form but our real spiritual form is dormant but it is a form .that is a great blunder to think the ultimate is the impersonal aspect of God. I cannot speak to the "intentions" of the narrator of this video, but I can attest to its accuracy of Yogananda's teachings (and already am aware of his name by many of my friends/YT favorite podcasters). I have heard no less than 3 truths that spirit has also given to me mentioned here , such as the wars being fought only for the continents and Earth to still be standing JUST as if no wars took place in " 100 years time", as well as the tips for "mental imagery" which I also have most recently been working to attune as well (I am innately better at clairsentience or clairaudience than any mental images or imagination abilities). I wish it's true. I've lost my brother and if it's true that he keeps on living, it gives me comfort. I want to meet him again. His innocence that I can't see kills me every day.
We are souls connected to the highest heaven. We are eternal. Isn't that amazing! Souls who come down into physical bodies do so either because of karma, or they want to master this plane and bring light. This plane is not meant as a punishment that one needs to escape from; that was not its original purpose. What happened is being in the physical, one can get trapped by believing it is the only world, and thus some, instead of seeking connection to spirit, choose to use the physical to conquer others, or use them for their pleasure, addictions, even to materialism. Those who come with karma are not judged, it is a matter of learning where they got stuck and to overcome it and grow. Those who come to bring light, help to clear the darkness so others can see. This can happen in many ways, one need not devote their lives to rescue people, as we spread light no matter where we are, even if we work at the post office! Blessings. We are from the 5th plane beyond astral and causal, the three worlds are a trap, we go round and round and aren't safe until we get beyond. Yogananda spoke of this, when Yukteswar visited him after death he told about the place in the upper causal where disciples could work towards the 5th plane and not fall back down to the astral world of illusion.❤

karma is a concept which seems to have originated in the Vedic religion. I have to wonder, when did it start anyway, when we were apes/amoeba's? It's like a chicken and egg situation. But, many near death experiencers do not directly mention karma as a reason to be born. If we come from God - all knowing - and are sent to earth to have experiences, so our soul can 'grow', what exactly are we growing towards/for, when we emanate from source anyway? I think Alan Watts summed it up when he said, "The meaning of life is just to be alive. It is so plain and so obvious and so simple. And yet, everybody rushes around in a great panic as if it were necessary to achieve something beyond themselves."
The mind creates this World and the astral World . If u see the minds tricks then u are free from all concepts ❤

By observing the mind’s illusions, we begin to transcend its hold and touch the freedom beyond concepts. True liberation lies in seeing through these layers to our unchanging Self. ❤✨

I was doing Gateway for about three weeks and I left my body for the first time, it was peaceful even fun , then it did happen again but because of the second time I put a pause on it for just now. This all stared with trying to find my path in life.

I was having a bad week. Not that bad but kinda low and felt like I was drifting and stumbled upon this last night. Just randomly played it without even thinking while falling asleep. Fell asleep exactly around the minute it ended. Completely healed me on some other level.
