  • Safeguard was binned in order to make his Pokemon more offensive. As you can tell from the get go, Lugia was straight onto the attack with Psychic, something he will hardly ever do in Round 1 or 2 as he will always go for the safeguard first, unless he knows he can cause major damage.
    You may have noticed that Mew despite being a shiny has still got max stats. That's because for Mew, I had it's stats completely ignore it's genetics (Maybe a hint at Round 4), so the stats weren't effected by it's shiny status. As for the battle itself. I feel that I shouldn't have started with Zapdos, and instead started with Starmie. I was apprehensive to switch out which is what I normally would do, because the Rival was much more offensive in this battle than in any of the others. Instead I thought it was a better choice to sacrifice a few Pokemon instead of switching out. The latter giving him another turn.

    This in my opinion might be the best Pokémon game. The announcer, the mannerisms of the Pokémon… I was legit an addicted elementary kid when this game dropped. Also epic music.

      Yeah, the care of details and content here was sublime. Games nowadays don't have this.

Alles sehr eigenartig.

      I tried to keep my Pokemon selection the same or very similar throughout the entire playthrough of all 3 Rounds. Yes I could've switched out Machamp for another Pokemon but regardless, he still won the battle. As for the accuracy. For Round 3, Thunder, Fire Blast, Hydro Pump, Dynamicpunch, Zap Cannon, Blizzard all had there accuracy increased. Dou to an oversight on my part the opponent didn't get that benefit until much later. That's why in this battle Mewtwo opts to use Thunder and Fire Blast as it detects the increased accuracy of those moves. Zap Cannon already has a 100% paralyses rate if it hits, but Thunder's rate of paralyses was not modified. Thunder also has a higher chance to paralyse than Thunderbolt, so if the accuracy of Thunder is increased to that of Thunderbolt, the rate of paralyses would increase through that accuracy. Again though the paralyses chance modifier was not modified.

    Lady Luck was on this guy’s side. His Thunders never missed and always paralyzed. Also always landed those hydro pumps and zap cannons

      It wasn't luck when I have stated earlier in the playthrough that the accuracy for Thunder, Blizzard, Hydro Pump, Dynamicpunch, Fire Blast, Zap Cannon all had there base accuracy increased. Also in this video there's a reason why Mewtwo opts to use Thunder and Fire Blast instead of Psychic, and that's because the opponent detects the increased accuracy of those moves, so it uses them. The chance of a Pokemon becoming paralyzed outside of Zap Cannon and Thunder Wave was not modified.

    How did you get round 3?

    • @PokeRush415
      @PokeRush415  16 дней назад

      There isn't an official Round 3. This was just something that I decided to modify. I made it so that all trainers use 6 Pokemon with more powerful moves, and they're maxed EV and DV trained.

    Add Snorlax on this battle - to make it more challenging
    Mew needs a weak swords dance set - it’s not that scary without swords dance
    Celebi seems fine as it is does it know psychic ?

      @PokeRush415  2 месяца назад +2

      I think Celebi had Psychic, I'm not to sure. I know it was holding Miracle Seed, which is why it's Giga Drain was so powerful. As for Snorlax, I was contemplating adding another Pokemon to this battle, but Snorlax was already in the first battle. If I did add another Pokemon it wouldn't have likely been Snorlax. Machamp was also in my team. With the introduction of cross chop in Gen II, and a Machamp with black belt, it can pretty much one hit KO a Snorlax.

      Why would he add snorlax, he using 5 legendary god/mythical pokemon why would use a non legendary especially when your arrival only use the strongest legendary and mythical pokemon...you make no sense its all about the move pool lugia should have learn blizzard for zapdos instead or ice beam

      @@Derellrassy87Snorlax is the best Pokémon ever in Gen 2. There’s no reason not to use the big lug. Even much much more threatening then all 5 legendaries .

      @bryanc1772 not when it go up against lugia one and one or a fighting type like machamp even mewtwo on hoho would overcome him...again the rival is a legendary trainer he wants you all the god pokemon that's the whole point I am making...if he had snorlax might as well use normal pokemon...that battle only make sense if it was these pokemon for a rival that use the strongest pokemon I don't what will
