To all those that are saying that in story for the guy is the idiot for snooping: How dare you down play his feelings. She is flirting with another man! Weather it being jokingly or not, she is flirting with another man. Friends are okay flirting is not. How dare you say that his feelings don't matter! I am a woman and I know for a fact that if it was the guy is cheating that y'all be all over him! But if a girl cheating she's just fine cheating and no one gets on her case. How dare you! Y'all nasty! If it was the woman snooping and found out that the man was flirting y'all be supporting her!

You're right on two points. First of all, there are NO SECRETS between a couple. If someone is keeping a secret, it is to hide something bad for the couple be it cheating or a dark past. Second, flirting is the way someone signals sexual interest in someone. There is NO SUCH THING as "innocent" flirting.

Story 4- op's girlfriend was being sneaky entertaining another man that she works with. op could have handled that better but she needs to let the other guy know she's in a relationship or cut him off.

S1: Ella honestly reminds me of Jane from ‘Jane The Virgin’ (where they think they’re better than everyone just b/c they’re saving themselves till marriage). It’s okay to feel a sense empowerment for saving yourself till marriage (seeing as I save myself until I was the age of 19), but going around actively slut shaming others b/c they’re not saving themselves is totally unacceptable. Ella needed to be put in her place. Her constantly bringing up the fact that you don’t know who your child’s father is as also unacceptable. OP needs to cut her out of her life b/c keeping someone like that that around honestly makes OP a bad parent. Why are you letting someone say such dumb sh*t like that around your child. She obviously isn’t going to change, so why keep someone like that around. I don’t wanna hear the excuse that “she’s family“ or “she’s my sister“ b/c at the end of the day, that’s all those are, excuses.
S5: not the a-hole, she couldn’t help you when you guys needed help, so why would you help her. It’s a simple as that.

The opinion of the commentator on story 4 is wrong. She failed to be open about her relationship with said friend, did not talk about said friend with her then boyfriend, and had an emotional connection with him.
Women have said they would rather their men cheat on them physically with another woman than have developed an emotional relationship with them, whereas it’s the opposite with men.
This insinuates that her emotional involvement with this “friend” is already stepping into cheating territory according to the way women are wired. So when men pick up on their women developing these emotional bonds with other men, it shouldn’t be surprising when they call you out. Because on some level, *they know*

I really don't understand how the sister was having a problem getting home. Usually people will have some money at home, just take a cab and ask them to wait a bit for you to get the money. They are literally in front of your house, there is nowhere for you to run, just take a cab and pay when you get there. There was no reason she would have to call anyone.
But what goes around comes around, the brother just can't complain when he calls for help with something non-child related and gets smack back.
Not agreeing to take care of someone's kid involves more than just driving for half an hour, you are taking responsibility for another life. If the person doesn't feel like they can take on all the responsibilities that come with taking care of a child, it's more prudent to deny the favour, he could get a close friend or a professional service if money wasn't the problem, but yall not ready for this conversation.

It was her calloused attitude about the desperate situation.
She could’ve declined respectfully while helping him find a solution, like good families do. He would’ve had no problem coming to her time of need later.

OP asked her as the last resort. He had a work emergency. He even got in trouble at work for not showing up.
Now with her. That's a whole different story. There wasn't any emergency. She just messed around too long. Plus she just didn't Want to take the bus. Now she's whining to the family how "OP was a meany. He wouldn't heeelp meeee."
OP doesn't owe her anything. She's made it clear that she will not act like family. That means that OP doesn't have to treat her like family or a friend.
OP's wife needs to get her head straight. She should be standing up for OP to her family. She should also lay into sister for her BS.

So, at 17 yrs and 11mo, I started college. The honors advisor had no fear in telling all of us (during the chit-chat mingling part, not her prepared remarks) that we should cohabitate for at least a year, before getting married. ‘Cause there’s all that “He’s constantly leaving his dirty socks all over the house!” you won’t figure out until you live together.
She didn’t specifically point to sex as well, but honestly, the purity culture types know nothing about their sexual tastes. Maybe she likes spankings? Maybe you like spankings, and she thinks that’s gross. Maybe he was serial molested by an uncle for years? Maybe a side effect of their anti-depressant is anorgasmia? It’s not a situation of “Why buy the cow, if the milk is free?” it’s more like “Don’t buy the car until you’ve test driven it first.” An ex friend of mine was already married. They eventually talked about their kinks. She was flat-out disgusted by seven of the eight things he said. Shoulda talked about all that stuff first.
