Please do me a favor. Go to Render Setup/Arnold Renderer/Scroll down to Environment, BG&Atmosphere/ Click on the No Mat button next to the Scene Atmosphere/scroll down to Arnold, open Atmosphere tab, choose "Atmosphere Volume"
Or press X, search Atmosphere Volume
Almost 1/3 of the light tut was the guy looking for the map

Hello, by doing this, when I try to start the render, my volume light is not rendered at all. Do you know why?

@@gloriabolchini4434 First, check your light. It only work with spot, area, and point light. Wont work with distant or skydome
You also need to go to Environment & Effects (press 8 or Main menu/Rendering/Env&Eff)
Then on the Atmosphere roll out (under Exposure control) click add, and add an volume light.
Click on the added volume light, its parameters will drop down > click Pick Light and pick your light
After that, check if you add the environment material into your arnold renderer like said in the comment above
Then drag that map into your Slate Material Editor, change density to 0.1 and up

P/S: when dragging the Atsmosphere Volume Material from Arnold Render Setup to your Slate Material Editor, choose Instance (not copy)
Or you can go to Scene Materials, look for it (it's named something like "Volume Light (Atmosphere Volume) and drag it out as you do with other scene material
Then you can change the parameters in Slate Mat Editor, add maps...

@@4rg3s Thank you so much! Just one last question since you've been so kind to help me (I spent a day trying to solve this problem). Now that I add the Atmosphere volume, even if I try to pick just one spotlight (pressing 8, then adding volume light, then using "pick light"), in the render every single spotlight becomes a volume light. How can I solve this? Many many thanks

@@gloriabolchini4434 No problem! I think because the Volume light material added to the render setup is for the entire environment, every light which is eligible for volumetric rays will show the volume (even if you add a point, quad light...)
I would suggest that if you don't want a light become volumetric, switch it to distant light.
