You can't sell an upscale house in my city without installing a pot filler and a seperate island prep sink along with a main kitchen sink. Potfillers are great if you don't mind water leaks above your stove someday!
Pot fillers are nice… the prep sinks are silly though, because they’re almost always like 5 to ten feet away from the main kitchen sink… and really leaks? You’re not getting leaks if it was installed by a competent plumber. That pot filler comes in handy when you gotta fill a pot with like a gallon or so. when my mom makes soup for the week, I know she wishes she had a faucet right above the stove.
Just to let you know Broski, I'm also recommending you to all my friends here in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. Fuck the Oktoberfest, Bro, that shit is not even closely as funny as your stories. Also, I like your wisdom and chill attitude. May have to do with your Albanian origin, dude. In contrast, the Albanian dad of my son's other Broski said, wtf, "everything is so safe here", while looking at me like he's chillin' hard.
I like that saying at the end “if it don’t make sense add a zero to it, cause they can obviously afford it”. 😂 But probably very true, especially in NYC.
Ur right. I always let the water run for 30 seconds to get sediment n bacteria 🦠 out 👌. But also when boiling water it sanitizes too so remember that as well. ✅
When I lived in Iowa I installed a crap ton of them in a few renovations and a few in newly built houses. One sticks out me. I installed one on a renovation 6 months later they wanted it removed 🤣. They literally rehired us to remove it. I didn't ask any questions. They had every thing cut out. All did was turn the water to the house. Draining the system cut the pipe behind the wall capped it. Turned the water back on made sure it wasn't leaking anywhere got the air out of the system and left.
I’ve installed a few for those who obviously don’t cook lol. But i installed one for my mother who loves to make soup but struggles to carry things so it’s been a bit of a win for both of us.

Pot fillers are one of those things that people try to bring from commercial kitchens into the home. But in commercial kitchens, they may have a pot on the stove ALL DAY that they're using to cook (or reheat) pasta, and so you need to keep topping up the water. It makes sense there. It makes limited sense at home.
We actively discourage pot fillers, you get an inexperienced cook have a grease fire they’re going to turn the filler on and light their kitchen on fire
I hear you, but that same idiot is gonna rush over to the sink right next to the stove and fill a bowl or a cup and throw water on that same grease fire. You can’t fix stupid 🤷🏾♂️
Actually, Aldreth,I think you have a really interesting point!! RUclips has lots of videos of people panicking and throwing water on a n oil or grease fire!
@@rodmarr1844 to get to the pot filler during a fire ,you would have to reach through the fire with your hand and turn it on. No one in their right mind is doing this.

At least someone was considerate and put backing for you instead of having to use those shody tile anchors.. also, I dont know why the brushed brass rubs me the wrong way. It just takes me back to being a kid in the 80s.
This is starlight facts. I hate those things they are beyond pointless and just another issue waiting to happen and people who have them have money for that extra zero. We do these all the time in south Florida. Hell I installed a shower in a guys movie theater room. Every time he watches a horror movie and blood squirts out he can hits a button to make the shower squirt against the wall and you can hear it. So dumb so rich but I don’t mind. 😂

Told me to leave and go back to temp service. Lmafao. Place sold ceramic pots. I was mad affff😂😂😂
I've never really thought about how these work with the water it was using. To be fair, I am not willing to spend money on this cause it's expensive and I have a perfectly good sink faucet.
Also a reply to some comments, I don’t think boiling water removes elements like lead, etc in your water. Boiling water is for killing “living organisms” like bacteria, etc.
To be fair. Bacteria would most likely get boiled off. You’re about to use if for cooking on a stove after all. But most people don’t cook enough to justify it still. another feature is not needing to hual a big ass heavy pot full of water over from the sink to the stove. If you’re having a hard time carrying pots , or if you’re home brewing or something, it’ll save some heavy lifting ✌🏼

@@wilderevans6520 So you think leaks don't happen "with a competent plumber?" How long you been plumbing broski?
I've been a JP for 22 years now. Have you ever heard of faucet manufacturers having bad parts that leak in a week after installing? I have. It wasn't my fault either. The brand was from Italy and had the wrong cartridges. It tested good and held for over a week until it gradually started dripping. The people were on vacation and came back a week later to a flooded Wolf stove and some floor damage. It was found to be the manufacturers fault and it was covered luckily. My point is that even when installed by a good plumber it can leak anyway due to manufacturers fu©k ups.
We once had every single Sioux Chief brand IPS angle stops leak. Same reason. Manufacturers fu©ked it up.
