    Number 1 rule of debts is not get into more debts, Barcelona had an alright team from last season, I think that some of the signings were really extra, they should have used the levers to lower debt and nothing else, and especially they shouldn't be in no way working on a stadium renovation in this financial state.

    • @cinecfull3733
      @cinecfull3733 Год назад +16

      Yep they should've never bought raphinha or Lewandowski. Not that they are bad or dont fit the team. Its just not worth the price they are going to pay in the future ( much much more than transfer+wage). And they had players that could play that position and get 2nd in La liga.
      The should've just payed their transfer, wage or credit debts with that money and instead of selling their future

      Lewabdowski is the only positive financial purchase they made, they will get merch sales which would offset much of the cost. Thing is if they promote Fati, he could generate that revenue for the next 10 years and that is who they should be building around along with Pedri, Gavi, Dejong, Araujo, Balde and Kounde.

      But see, that would mean essentially handing Real Madrid the La Liga title over the next few years, and also, they may not be confident in a lot of their upcoming youngsters. Ansu Fati can't even get consistent game time, and instead of opening the door for him to start on a regular basis, they re-signed Dembele. They literally signed Hector Bellerin. For no reason, really. He was more than happy to be signed permanently by Real Betis, but when you have the chance to sign for Barcelona, whether or not you are realistically good enough to do so, you do it.

    I actually thought before all these spendings in the summer that Barca has some of the talented youngsters in world football in Ansu Fati, Pedri and Gavi. They should built a team around these youngsters, sign a couple of players as free transfers like Real Madrid done in the recent seasons with the signings of Alaba and Rudiger, they should take a back seat in spending and maintain an economical discipline for a couple of seasons. Champions League wasn't a reachable target anyway imho, and the difference between a trophyless season and a season with a "small treble" (LaLiga, Copa del Rey and Europa League) is huge. And of course there are inbetweens. Going back to win LaLiga alone would be satisfying enough to me, but even Copa del Rey + Europa League would make me happy (just one of them, not so much). And of course LaLiga + one of the two cups would be great too. Of course being out of CL isn't ideal but I will be sad only when the season should become irredeemable. In May, we'll know.

    Barcelona had 3 sensational years, that's it.
    20 years ago Madrid fans understood is not about buying players (The galacticos) but building a team for 5 seasons. In 2022 Barca fans haven't understood this yet. That's why they keep talking about Messi, the Treble, etc. That's the only history of the club. They have a long road of learning.

    Sadly I think the democratic nature of the club is hurting them, Laporta only has 4 years and so he gambled everything for immediate success in order to cover himself in glory and get re elected. It never made any sense considering the majority of the the squad is either u21 or well into their 30s. The club needs to be patient and develop the talent while moving on from the old legends, not try competing while simultaneously being too young and too old with a young inexperienced manager. Barca tried playing both sides and unlike the meme you never come out on top when you do that

If I were the president I would have let Xavi ride with the same squad and promote the younger players and then in the summer of 23 see what pieces you need.. What's the worst that could happen, you finish second or third in La Liga and miss out the champion league at a cost of XX million. Well the worst is going to happen. Finish 2nd in La Liga and miss out on the CL group stage at a cost of XXXX millions.
