    An Illegal Citizenship Exam & Ousting a Legend: The Story of Luis Suarez’s Messy Barça Exit
    Luis Suarez has left FC Barcelona and transferred to Atletico Madrid. But with Ronald Koeman signing with Barcelona and the club in financial trouble, many senior players, including Luis Suarez, were told that their time with the club was over. Suarez took an Italian language exam to get his Italian citizenship as rumours of a transfer to Juventus took shape. But, out of nowhere, it was revealed that his exam was possibly a sham, and instead he found his way to Atletico Madrid.

      @omarm241 3 года назад +13

      lewa is the best tho considering suarez has messi to assist as well as to score let me tell u why lewa is the best-
      WHO IS MORE PROLIFIC-
      lewa has a better conversion rate in front of the gooal throughout the career better than suarez so its 1-0 to lewa
      TECHNIQUE-
      this is something i dont think so i need to explain lewa has got a better technique and a better style of play. 2-0 to lewa!
      CONSISTENCY-
      lets kill it here lewa averages 48 goals and assist/season from the 11/12 season does suarez has that sort of record i dont think so(suarez plays with the greatest playmaker still..) also lewa recovers better from an injury and works on his fitness better than suarez 3-0 to lewa!
      PRIME-19/20 was lewa's prime where he scored 55 times in just 47 matches(goal avg 1.17) to suarez's 59 in 53(goal avg1.11) in the 15/16 season even tho suarez was the player with more assist ( consider having ney and messi that should be illegal!) but the difference is the CL 15 goals 6 assist to suarez's 8 goals and 3 ass. also lewa will win the sextuple as well also lewa deserved a balondor for all this as well so ya lewa has a better prime season!
      4-0 to lewa
      ASSIST-
      yes suarez has way more assist but its debatable since suarez played with someone who scored so many goals and also from anywhere from the pitch but lets just give this one to him.
      4-1
      BIG STAGE PLAYER-
      lewa has wayy more goals than suarez in the CL and is only 3 assist behind(he is younger so he might get more assist. and goals too) also lewandowski has reached more UCL finals and has scored more goals for his country and poland is a lot weaker than uruguay still...
      5-1
      DEFENDING-
      ok suarez is a way better defender also presses well and this is one of the underrated features of his game!
      5-2
      FANS PICK
      its lewa despite suarez being a barca player and a team like barca having blind fans equally with teams like real and all the big money clubs still a pole conducted by some football web ig where lewa got 62% of the votes!
      so ya lewa ia the greatest striker of this generation bcoz suarez only beats him when it comes to assist and ummmm defending and lewa outclasses him when it comes to being clinical and being the more consistent one!

      Casillas was not mistreated by Real madrid, they gave him a choice to stay at the club and be on the bench (due to his horrible performance) or to go out. • @alexzuniga7677
      @alexzuniga7677 3 года назад +2

      No he was not disrespectfully kicked out, the truth is that he’s been a thorn in our side with our attack. He’s slow he loses the ball often when we go on the counter, he missed many chances, an increasing injury list, albeit he does work hard when you see clips of him pressing. But that’s the thing he simply does not have the fitness to keep the press going for a full 90 minutes like he used to. He’s 33 we cannot have two players (Lionel Messi) who do not help contribute defense in the opponents half when there’s only so many attackers. The truth is he’s just as guilty as being money hungry as us “disrespecting him” we had to pay a portion of the final year of his salary to get him to go which he originally wanted the full 25 million euros that’s right he wanted us to PAY for him to leave. The point is many Barcelona legends when they felt as they could not give all to the club like they used too. Xavi, Iniesta, villa, alves, Puyol. And Suarez Can longer give What he used to be able to give .

    Of all the great strikers say of the last 10 years Suarez is my favourite. Tenacious, generous to his teammates (assists) Sublime vision and skill. Aggressive to a fault everything you want in a forward. And, though he is in decline, the way Barca dismissed this great servant to their club and massive success in recent years will surely come back to bite them on the arse. As only Suarez can😉 From a Liverpool supporter.

    Imagine you were the best forward in the world at one point and could choose to go to any club, and you choose to be with a club where you knew you'd be overshadowed by the best player in the world, and you still kept up your numbers through the years, remained faithfully loyal with the club, and became an even better forward - grew as a player, and abandon all the madness that has troubled your past . And after all that, your club just throws you like a piece of candy wrapper.

    I in no way want to diminish Suarez's Barca numbers but I have to ask...how many of those were created by Messi? You're absolutely right in that the Insane Duo of Messi and Ronaldo have utterly messed with performance numbers but their influence on the rest of the team is just as big (ie: they set up more goals than any "normal" player would or their actions allows for others to score more goals than they otherwise would). This is a mere thought experiment on my part as the numbers are fantastic and Suarez (despite what I think of him personally) should be classed as one of the team's all-time greats like he is/should be at Liverpool.
    As far as him getting booted out of Barca... I actually think this is an echo of the whole goals/assist thing surrounding Messi. Namely, egos and attitudes were being thrown around as a way of positioning Messi into a position where he had to stay but was ALSO "made to see" that he wasn't expendable. "If we can ditch Suarez, Busquets, et al, we'll do the same to you kid. So get yourself in order."
    I never like to see stuff like this happening to plays but 1) I'm a hypocrite and unless it ends up a player at my own club who I love gets kicked out, my attitude is very much this happens all the time in football. And 2) Players are perfectly capable of doing something similar to get moves. If a player pulls a dirty to move teams or a team pulls a dirty to move a player, the dirty is still being pulled and the only difference is who is the one crying and who is the one grinning for the win.

    Soon as he came to Liverpool I knew he was world class. I was one the first guy at the time to say his actually better than Sergio Aguero when they were both in the same league. Almost took Liverpool to win the title single handedly. Suarez is a lethal striker. Its just a shame his history ruins it & becomes a major highlight, such as goal line hand ball clearance & celebration after its at the world cup, Evra allegations & the biting on Ivanovic.
    Well played to mention the positives about one the greatest strikers in the modern era RabonaTV.

    Adrian, 1st love the content 2nd I’m a Liverpool fan so I speak with a level of authority in Luiz Suarez, I love the player however he has always been a cheater and someone who plays outside of the rules, biting incidents as evidence, I believe he cheated the citizenship exam even though I love the player and I believe in his talent he always seems to get in the way of his own reputation as one of the greatest strikers to grace the pitch and this I why I believe he won’t be remembered for his fame but his infamy.

  • @PaddyMcMe

    This confirms to me that Koeman has no plans of retaining Messi at the end of the year. You don't get rid of your talismans best strike partner and friend who also happens to be your club's 3rd highest ever goal scorer if you're at all interested in repairing relationships.
    That MSN goal celebration is still my favourite of all time. It was so genuine. I remember reading an article on them that ended with, basically, enjoy them while they are here. Sad to see the collapse. As a Liverpool fan, and a Messi fan the last couple of years have been complicated, as is the future, since there is only one place he's heading and that's a pretty scary prospect for us Reds.
