As a Real Madrid fan, this is nothing new... unless you can "help me know" you can't make it at the club no matter whom you are. Its a shame he departed this way. I can understand the team not wanting him (me included), just paid a lot for a guy that didn't live up to price tag.... HOWEVER he is a legend for winning us the 2018 UCL Final, 2014 Final, and a copa del rey... this is what I will remember him most for and Real Madrid fans too... standing ovation for those moments alone If you win the UCL, you are king of Europe and he won us 2!
Though he is entitled to have his opinion and choices for life, I think they were apparently right as golf tends cause knee issues, lower back and spine issues. Plus his onfield injuries add up to the woes. I would rather walk out of the club for a lower pay at any other clubs rather than lose sleep over some currency the club pays me and stay back as an unwelcome guest. I think he would move out next transfer window considering asensio is injured
Rabona TV as a Real Madrid fan I like Bale a lot and the way Zidane is treating him is disrespectful and arrogant. I’m also disgusted by the jeers he gets when playing, also he deserves respect after everything he’s done for the club.
Bale has to be given a lot more respect! But it looks like he has a certain attitude problem, he has only been playing well when he has a point to make. This was proved by Solari when he used him off the bench. Given Real Madrid's situation it would be better for both if he leaves. All that being said He is without a doubt a club LEGEND.
He is what he is, he has been injured a third of his time at Madrid but he hasn't proved to be as good as he was thought out to be. he's only a good player
If I were Zidane I would be working to create chemistry between Bale and Hazard, they can speak English and can have a nice friendship/competitive season.

Courtwat is a scam. I don’t get why he replaced navas. Navas won three UCL trophies with real. Navas has done a good job and it’s sad that real can’t see it.

That's a perfectly reasonable schedule in Spanish culture (Spain is where Bale is being employed and making millions). You can go to bed at 1, get up at 9:00 and be on time for the training at... 11am!!! that's almost noon, for crying out loud... Bale has done nothing to feel part of the team, to participate in those important conjurings that are essential to teambuilding. Honestly, there's just no way he's the victim here. He's thrown away much of his time at RM, and his departure would be best for all involved. Alas, the once heir to CR7 is now in talks to move to China... aged 29.
I'm a coffee lover (immune to it, would not effect my sleeping time at all), but coffee at midnight when you literally have intensive work/training the next morning to build relationship? Fcuking unreasonable. High level athlete some more? Every other intense sport players sleep early & will be scolded if they are staying late (if there is a match or training the next morning) Anyway, Bale was actually a decent striker, but he couldn't even score regularly as Benzema, so yeah, couldn't live up to the hype, hes basically overrated. Might be good for him to go for all the bad blood
It's sad to see how he is treated from Zidane and some fans. He did so many things for Madrid and I really like him as a player and want to enjoy his football ability that he clearly has as much as I can. He was the reason I watched Tottenham often and I still like spurs. This all started with Bale just being one of the best players in the PL

[THREAD]: How it all went wrong for Gareth Bale at Real Madrid and his relationship with the club collapsed. (1.) In his first season, 2013/14, Bale had injury problems, but was still fully supported by the club. Cristiano Ronaldo even publicly stated that he shouldn’t be pressured, since it was his first season, and did not have a proper preseason. When played, he performed very well. (2.) 2014/15 was a more difficult year for the Welshman. He had less injury problems, played 500 more minutes than his debut year, but scored less, assisted less and his general performance was inconsistent. 3 goals and 4 assists less than 13/14, despite playing more. (3.) His first real controversy in Madrid came toward the end of the season, when his agent Jonathan Barnett went behind manager Carlo Ancelotti’s back and talked to Florentino Pérez about Bale’s role in the team. Bale wanted a more central role, which was impossible due to Ronaldo. (4.) This soured his relationship with the backroom staff. This contributed to Ancelotti’s sacking, a very unpopular decision within the squad. Veterans of the squad such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Ramos both expressed their disappointment. (5.) He had an upturn in 2015/16, and when the season ended, he had completed his best campaign in the white shirt. 19 goals, 11 assists in 21 league apps. Moreover, he stepped up when it really mattered, and dragged the team when Ronaldo was injured. 1 assist in the UCL final. (6.) Due to his successful year, he was rewarded with a contract extension, running until 2022. The start to 16/17 was inconsistent, and a major injury hit in November, which kept him out until February. Later on he suffered another injury, and missed 6 of the final 8 league games. (7.) During his injury, Zidane had already started playing the diamond with Isco behind Ronaldo and Benzema, which caused Bale to spend a lot of time on the bench after his comeback. Bale was unable to force his way back into the side, as the set-up did not suit him. (8.) This is how the issues with Zidane began, as, contrary to 2016, Zidane no longer viewed Bale as "untouchable" from the starting XI. He now had stiff competition for the third attacking berth from Isco, who was crucial to the new possession based style Zidane employed. (9.) 2017/18 was once again a very inconsistent year for Bale. He scored 90% of his goals in the second half, when the team kicked into gear and won the Champions League. Overall, he had great stats (28 G/A in 39 apps, all comps), but he was quite inconsistent. (10.) After his two goals in the Champions League final, Bale expressed his discontent with being benched from the start, and claimed that he had to play every week. His comments rightfully infuriated some fans, who felt as though they were expressed at the wrong time. (11.) This, combined with Ronaldo being unsure of his future and Zidane leaving his job, caused the club to choose between Ronaldo and Bale. Ronaldo left for Juventus, and Gareth Bale got the role as the main man of the team. From 18/19, he finally had his shot at leading the attack. (12.) However, Bale disappointed massively. Despite playing 29 games, he contributed to only 12 goals, and was very poor throughout the campaign. He completely failed to step up and occupy the Ronaldo void. He did not have his usual injuries, but still did not manage to maintain form. (13.) Both Solari and Zidane (once he returned) opted to start Vinicius and/or Vazquez instead of Bale in most games, mainly due to how poor and meekly Bale played. The next season did not change things, but rather made them worse. (14.) Real Madrid, led by Zidane tried desperately to sell Bale in the summer of 2019. He was hours away from completing a move to Jiangsu Suning before the club blocked the move since they wanted a transfer fee. Zidane had publicly stated that Bale leaving would be for the best. (15.) This led to a toxic relationship between the club and player. Bale’s 2019/20 season was his worst to date. He scored only 2 goals and 2 assists, with both goals coming in the same game, vs Villarreal. He managed 16 appearances, with only 4 goal contributions. (16.) His overall gameplay also fell off a cliff. He went from 2.2 key passes, 2 dribbles, 3.8 shots in 15/16, to 0.8 key passes, 0.9 dribbles and 2.3 shots in 19/20. (All stats p90.) Moreover, his body language suggested that he was uninterested, and barely contributed anything. (17.) Even more controversy surrounded Bale when he celebrated Wales’ qualification to the Euros by jumping with his Welsh teammates, holding a banner that read: "Wales. Golf. Madrid- In that order." His relationship to the fans reached its breaking point due to this. (18.) Gareth Bale and the club have run their course with each other. The fans are vehemently against the player, a sentiment shared by the coach. The player is no longer a world class one, not anywhere near that level in fact. An amicable split soon, is the best way forward for all.
Bale was not signed on to speak Spanish or have late dinners. He was shown the silverware RM demanded by Perez on his first day there- and Bale has delivered. Zidane is the problem whether fans want to believe it or not.
Bale was signed to be like Ronaldo. To score plenty of goals and to be one of if not the best player in the world. He has not delivered on any of those and doesn't look like he is even trying to or is even interested in doing so. And that's where the problem is.
@@richardray2680 You wrong. Bale in one of the first matches l witnessed, took the ball from deep in their half all the way to the opposition's side & scored. I recall CR running alongside him hoping Bale would pass. Right after that game, things changed. I think they spoke to Bale to let him know that his job was to " support" CR. The BBC was created with the sole purpose of letting CR be the scoring machine, no longer was it necessary for CR to run from one end of the pitch with the ball, RM now had bale & benz in supporting roles " for CR" think me crazy? Go watch the footage of the Bbc at it's height. Countless times the ball was delivered to CR in the box only for him to fail to put it in the back of the net. Suddenly bale was to take over that position? Right. Btw, isn't it funny, that no sooner did bale arrive that RM became a fearsome force. The counter attack was legendary. So put your faith in these kids now playing for RM, snd hopefully bale doesn't have to be the scapegoat when things go south. He doesn't seem to care because RM.does not care. You don't continue to love someone who doesn't love you back.
When we say he came in as Ronaldos replacement we don't mean he came to take his place right away. no! he came to help the team by being the kind of player Ronaldo was. Helping out the team when CR7 is there and being the leader of the team when he isn't . Like the way Messi was with Ronaldinho. And Bale simply hasn't lived up to that. and yes people turned on him. when you make those crazy runs from mid folks expect a end result. you score or you pass for somebody else to score. when you keep making those runs and ignoring players who are running next to you for support then end up doing nothing folks get pissed off. Even Anceloti the coach who loved everyone said he didn't like Bale. Why? Because of his selfishness . so its not only Zidane that has issues with him.
@@richardray2680 Bale selfish? Classic BS. Go & take a look at the BBC in action footage- almost every freaking run that Benz sent to Bale, Bale crossed to CR, and there were times that Bale was so quick, that CR couldn't reach the ball in time. In fact some on the team at one point said that all CR was interested in was scoring, personal glory, taking all the penalties, raising his hand in the box because he wanted the ball, regardless of other players on the team, hands on hips or palms facing the heavens in disgust.Nice try Ra. I can see you drunk the cool-aid.

Even though Zidane wants Bale gone, he could have shown a bit more respect to Bale by protecting him, saying he has an injury or isn't fit to the media. At manutd Solskjaer has been protecting Lukaku who clearly wants to go by saying his got an injury. We all know it's not true, but it's still respect being shown. I hope Zidane remembers his own words when he's fired by Real because I feel that day is coming very soon judging from what we've seen on the pitch last season and this pre season
They wont. Zidane has sufficient amount of authority at Real Madrid then any other manager before him since he came back on terms. And plus he won 3 UCL titles in a row for RM.

I’m from Cardiff same as Bale, you have to understand something about Cardiff people. We don’t travel well, thats why you don’t see a lot of Welsh people around the EU. When we do travel we are anxious and self conscious. I believe Bale needs to be loved to bring out his personality, being hated only pushes him further into his shell and creates distance. People say he should make more effort, I say people should make more effort with him. Marcelo could address him in English and help him learn Spanish by becoming his friend. Courtois could invite him to dinner where they don’t stay out till 1am. There is a one way narrative here where Bale is all wrong, however in life there are always two sides and if you think about it, look at how respectful has Bale been by keeping his silence and dignity while others complain about him. I hope in time he will be appreciated as a RM great, I have no sympathy for RM paying huge wages to Bale, they paid their way to success and this is part of the cost of that past success.
You say there is always two sides but fail to see Bale’s wrong half. Its the whole team against Bale. So then who is the problem here? Think about it. Do you think EVERYONE at Real Madrid has something against Bale just for no reason? I hope not because that is a sad outlook on life. No one deserves respect from the beginning. You earn it through effort.
I just wish there was some sort of group counseling to better the synergy of teams in situations like this. I know it's supposed to be all business, but if there was a mediator using psychology to help the players understand each other; the players and the staff, especially the coach, it would be ideal. Though I do understand no one stays at a club forever, it might help a club like Real right now. Marco Asensio's injury really skewed Real Madrid's plan, leaving them with players they do not want anymore (though they are each highly skilled), but this is a situation they should have been better prepared for. I like James and Gareth in the team, and seeing how they aren't going anywhere, Zidane should figure out where they should fit. He may have his system or vision but, seeing how it may not pan out as he'd like it or been promised to have it, he should plan based on the people he has. Real Madrid has gifted players and youngsters, many of them more wingers and midfielders than sole strikers. How is Vasquez being used more than James? I don't know, but James should be in his prime. What about leaving Gareth on the wing and bringing Hazard being the playmaker behind the striker? Could it happen like that, I wonder if his pace is still with him. I believe they should also be keen on strengthening the defense and more depth in Casemiro's position, seeing as how pre-season is putting a spotlight on their weaknesses in the past couple of games.
Makes sense. Though Hazard does much better on the wing. They could just play on opposite flanks. Bale is still really good on the right. But yeah, Real need to get their shit together. James, Isco, Bale.. Even Ceballos are really talented. But for some reason Zidane can only work with people who are "in vogue"
Jon Jones fan Real Madrid is a disgrace to football, so many teams wish they had half the talent they had in the previous 10 years, however, real gets them, use them up and once they get what they want they kick them to the curve and boo them, and when a player doesn’t tolerate this they say the player is a cry baby
Bale is a great talent. Madrid don't know how to do rotation as a squad. They only like to change 3 players max per game. Any more and they loose their chemistry 100%. For a team with such a roster Bale is an extra and if he goes anywhere else he will be a starter. His injuries are the most unsettling part of his career, thus making it a hard sell for any top fly team in Europe. If I was him I would settle for an AC Milan type of team. That would be a good place to prove himself again
Agree so much with the A.C. Milan suggestion. They would appreciate him so much there and he wouldn't have as much pressure bc AC has been down for so long. If he does succeed and bring them to promienence then all the better.
When you manage a club it's not only about the skill of the player. One of the most important thing is the motivation and the harmony of the team. Klopp even spy it's player social media before signing them to make sure they're not some attention seeking complaining individual who will ruin the team. And who are we to judge a guy who has won 3 Champion League in a row as a manager and win everything there's to win as a player.
@@doublejacketjimmy391 Zidane didnt win, the players won the titles. Ronaldo was a HUGE part of RM success, and without him they will struggle to outscore opponents. If opposing team scores 1 Goal, you need to score TWO, if the opposing team scores 2, you need to score THREE otherwise the team wont be able to be Top 3 in standings. Without Ronaldo, RM doesnt have the firepower to get that done. Hazard is good but i doubt he can lead a team to glory when trailing 0-2
Real treat great players like that all the time. They sign Galacticos then get rid of them to make room for the next. Bale just stood up for himself is all. Robben, Schneider, Di Maria, James, Oezil...this is nothing new.Its not fair but maybe Bale should get over himself and move on.
You make a good point. The RM marketing machine constantly requires the next young player to satisfy its legion of ‘loyal’ fans. That means the ones who have outlived their usefulness are moved on, at age 30 Bale is fading as a marketable commodity for RM and the pressure is on for him to leave and free up his wages for the next young RM star. Unfortunately for Bale this pressure will intensify as the years go on, his best option is to leave and hope in time he will be viewed with greater respect and appreciation for his efforts at RM. The longer he stays the more the RM machine will tarnish his reputation..its sucks but its the money business of football these days. Take the pay cut, go to a top flight European club that will appreciate you and prove you are still a great player over the next 3 years, then take at the age of 33 a big money gig in China or the USA for another 3 years and retire a happy man at 36/37.

Zidane also has a Ballon D'or despite being a midfielder and a freaking world cup!!! He carried his team to 2 World Cup finals and if he didn't get that red card, Italy were not winning it that year. So put some respect on his name. What happened with Bale is unfortunate but I know why Zidane resorted to publicly criticizing Bale. The idea was to create drama and attract potential buyers for Bale. Don't forget that Bale has gotten free rides in 2 of the champions league campaigns. Even in 17/18 CL he just scored in the final bit was not Real Madrid's main man..

Harazd is overweigth and probably not able to lead the team, jovic will be on the bench because of benzema, on the Rw is Vasquez he's not good enough and Benzema misses many chances... Bale is the perfect solution for Madrid
Bale may feel that he needs to be in bed at 11pm in order to be 100% for training the next day. That reason should be accepted, even if the real reason is that his lack of Spanish means that he wouldn't enjoy the occasion. It's not as if the rest of the Real team are showing much 'team spirit' at the moment.
Well said Adrian. I totally agree. His statistics are very good. And scores/wins trophies for the club. He is an asset to the team when he is not injured. Other than that, we are all positive that he will definitely win for another club a Champion's League Cup. Viva España.
I’ve been a fan since he came to Madrid the way they treat him is unfair! Like you said Bale is there when you need him and he scored LOTS of important goals!
They didn't ruin kaka to be fair he ruined his career by choosing to represent Brazil in the 2010 world cup while injured instead of resting and taking care of himself which is sad because he was still class but no longer the same player
I’m a Madrid fan and if anyone asks me today what do you think of Bale, I’ll say he’s an absolute LEGEND of the club, he’s put in goals and assists and injuries aren’t his fault. He scored two bangers to secure Madrid’s third Champions League in a row and all of those in part thanks to him. It’s disgusting how Zidane and other fans have treated him and if he had contributed as much as he did for a club like Man United he would fans would be naming their children after him or something like that. The language barrier is not a huge problem because it clearly hasn’t barred his displays on the pitch. He’s a legend for Real Madrid FC and he’s worth every penny of that 100 million pounds and clubs like Barça or United knew that he’d contribute those numbers they would’ve coughed out 150 million for him without giving it a second thought
It's not only playing golf, this is only part of the story. He was supposed to be the captain of the team, when Ronaldo left in 2018. Everyone knew that but he didn't have the courage to step in. Even though his salary was the highest of all the players. He dedicated his energy to his hobbies as his main priority. When you are the captain, you need to lead by example, and his contribution to the team in 2018-19 was super poor. But not only that, he didn't even show good qualities of a leader, his commitment to the team was close to 0. In few instances, he didn't show up for games when he wasn't injured, he appeared playing golf when Madrid was playing important games like Atletico Madrid, he even appeared in TV saying that he doesn't like to be a soccer player but a golf player. He ended up even making fun with his national team saying "First Golf, then Wales, then Madrid", how come you can get to this level of mediocrity? So with all of that, you expect Zidane should be ok?? Everyone would have done the same. PS. And by the record his Spanish is terrible, he doesn't even have the beginner level (after being over 7 years in Spain). That interview in the video was totally prepared to say a couple of sentences.
I think Zidane will need to show some respect for Bale because what he did for the club is unreal and stop mocking him because he plays golf Love ya Gareth you will always be nu.1 for me ❤❤❤
Unfair?? Really...!! Tell me another player who got injured 18 times in 6 years, and is paid an insane wages to be a hospital patient!! Its a slap to us hard working people...
I love that Bale is just loving life earning his €600k a week on the bench 😂 glad Bale finally saw bright side after everyone at the club from player, manager & fans have put him through!
I'm 39 and a RM fan from my youth, have seen everything this club have gone through in the last 25 years or so.. Very good video, finally someone that touched his contributions as they shouldn't be forgotten, he's a true RM living legend for f... sake. Will never forget his amazing goals and all the moments that got me on my knees in delirium, more so than CR7s, no doubt about that. I genuinely love this guy and would never sell him, not even in my wildest dreams, hope he stays and retires here. I don't understand the ZZ treatment on Bale as he is one of the best players, if not the best we have right now. Also, I'm the biggest ZZ fan as well but I think he's pulling some weird and strange decisions since he came back, starting with transfers, which were very poor in my opinion. We still don't have a firepower to compete for anything seriously and we have spent 300 mil wtf.. Oh and we need to strengthen our midfield desperately as well omg.. I never liked Hazard to much as a player and I think he will be a flop here but hopefully I'm wrong. It pains me so much watching how Atletico got Joao Felix and how De Ligt went to juventus, we could easily have both and we really need those kind of players on these positions badly. Varane lost all of my faith and was by far the worst player last season, I think he's too clumsy and insecure and he will never progress for better, can't be a leader of the defense, which we also badly need, as Ramos is getting closer to his end, I would sell him in a heartbeat (Varane) and would go for the De Ligt but we are too late now... I don't want to sound like crybaby, especially as we have a ZZ, which is always a symbol for the win but it just smells like another fail season is ahead of us and also a ZZ demise... And who the f... cares if he can speak Spanish or not!!! hala madrid.
Madrid don’t like bale is because when he plays (nowadays) there is no passion for the sport he doesn’t commit to his runs anymore, ever since he changed his body he has not been the same.
5:52 Ah, that's why Germany and UK are regional powers in Europe. Really, Spain?? Dinner at 10 pm? Start to work at 11 am? Even Indonesia would laugh at you
I think the inability of Bale to fit in is based on his personality, let me use myself as an example as a Nigerian in my class I don't talk to everyone I talk to about 2 or 3 regularly both in college and off college and also I feel shy speaking Hindi in school

@@jonpool9030 The main difference is that Aguero was City's flagship player from the day he was signed, and have consistently performed for the team. Plus, in al honestly, Madrid's fans tend to be ungrateful idiots.
@@jesusojeda7850 point is that the Spanish thing is a distraction. Bale's performance on the pitch is all that matters. Yes he's been injured a lot and even tho I place a high percentage of the blame of that on the Madrid medical team, that's a valid gripe that the fans and staff have. The language thing is just crap As for you explanation of Aguero, I believe you made my point. As the marquee player and face of City, I'd think it would be more important for Aguero to learn English than Bale to learn Spanish.
@@jonpool9030 About Aguero, thing is he is one of the top goalscorers in the EPL and one of the best players in general, while Bale have been out for injury a incredible total of 375 days! www.transfermarkt.com/gareth-bale/verletzungen/spieler/39381 So, if Aguero is being a great player and City is having good results nobody will question if he speaks english or whatever he does with his life, while Bale's antics are seen as lack of commitment in the middle of Madrid's debacle (thus he is a easy scapegoat)
@@jesusojeda7850 After so many years in Madrid you'd think he'd be able to speak Spanish by now. It would have made life there so much easier. Learning languages is alien to a lot of Brits.
When a player goes to another country and performs to the high standards that Bale has, you know he is world class. Real just isn't good at managing talent.
Real are ignoring pure talent Bale is amazing it's a shame how Madrid don't give Bale the starting spot he is fast and can score goals I respect Bale for what he does because as far as I'm concerned Bale is a great talent and can be better than most players
Imagine wanting to hate Bale so much that you find a way to criticize him for wanting to go to sleep early to be rested and fresh for training. That's the OPPOSITE of what someone who's not committed to the club would do.
I think Bale shows that fans also want to see some heart. When he was injured he left a game against Real Sociedad early, he don’t want to socialize with the team mates because he rather goes to bed early and in the post-game interview after scoring that beautiful goal in the CL final, the first thing he did was to complain about the lack of time on the pitch. Sure, he has won allot with Real, but what happend last season after CR left and when defenders could focus more on him?
Zidane said Bale wasn't fit and the medical department said he shouldn't play for the Tottenham game. Bale went out for 18 holes of golf during that game. Zidane said Bale wasn't feeling well enough for the Fenerbahce game. He was out playing golf for again. So, it doesn't look like he will get minutes as either he or Zidane (or both) have decided against him playing. Junior and Rodrygo both did well enough on the right wing against Fenerbahce, so it is really unlikely that Bale is going to be playing much.
*Where do you stand on this situation? Looking forward to reading your opinions!*
As a Real Madrid fan, this is nothing new... unless you can "help me know" you can't make it at the club no matter whom you are. Its a shame he departed this way. I can understand the team not wanting him (me included), just paid a lot for a guy that didn't live up to price tag.... HOWEVER he is a legend for winning us the 2018 UCL Final, 2014 Final, and a copa del rey... this is what I will remember him most for and Real Madrid fans too... standing ovation for those moments alone
If you win the UCL, you are king of Europe and he won us 2!
I know this is isn't relevant but it would be cool if you could collab with another Canadian, sr4u but great video as always

(All stats p90.)
Moreover, his body language suggested that he was uninterested, and barely contributed anything.
(17.) Even more controversy surrounded Bale when he celebrated Wales’ qualification to the Euros by jumping with his Welsh teammates, holding a banner that read:
"Wales. Golf. Madrid- In that order."
His relationship to the fans reached its breaking point due to this.
(18.) Gareth Bale and the club have run their course with each other. The fans are vehemently against the player, a sentiment shared by the coach. The player is no longer a world class one, not anywhere near that level in fact.
An amicable split soon, is the best way forward for all.
He scored 3 ucl final goals why do they treat him like he’s Alexis Sanchez

@@richardray2680
You wrong.
@@richardray2680
Bale selfish?

I don't know anything about Cardiff people, but, if this is true for at least half the population I fucks with this argument

I have a feeling Bale is introverted and he only likes to be alone
They probably don’t like him because he stands up for himself.
Not much of a stand up more like they dislike him for being a whiny little bitch.

@@doublejacketjimmy391 he said nothing after getting all that crap from everyone

Wales, golf, Madrid!
He laughed when he said BBC
he should be getting more minutes because marco asensio is injured. Unless they buy a replacement
Armani Ray i Think they bought enough this window
He didn't travel to Munich cause he's injured AGAIN!
Gareth Bale is an amazing footballer...one of the best no doubts in that!
Real Madrid don't deserve Bale. His goal against Barcelona that was a classic. He needs to be respected
