    Hey, thanks for your video ! I'm a French student who will probably apply there next year but I've the possibility to go in two different cities, Odense and Esbjerg, which of these cities would you recommend ?

    • @diariesofablonde
      @diariesofablonde  Год назад +2

      I haven’t been to Esbjerg so I can’t say how that city is. Depending on what you prefer :) so Odense ist super central especially if you consider visiting places in Denmark. But Esbjerg has a long north seas side so it was probably really nice nature wise. But will rain more as it is the North Sea :) university wise it will probably be similar. Odense is bigger yes but danish people are still really outgoing and even in smaller cities there is lots to do ☺️

    Hi, Love your video! Are there flexibility with hours and what times you want to take each class?
    As a follow up, I guess how many hours per week is a masters full time?
    Thank you!

    • @diariesofablonde
      @diariesofablonde  6 месяцев назад

      Depends on so many things. But the first two semesters I had on average 3-4 days with two classes each 4 hours. The classes are quite fixed so you can't really lay them how you want. But you will have time for a student job for instance

    with a permanent residency from Portugal, What are the language requirements ? I tried to search in the university website and there were many : TOFEL, IELTS . Do I need to do all or you think one language test could work like either IELTS or TOFEL?

    • @diariesofablonde
      @diariesofablonde  Год назад

      Great question.. as a German i didn’t need to do one but I don’t know how it is for you. If you need to do one then I would definitely recommend IELTS instead of TOFEL. During my years of studying I did both at some point and IELTS is much easier. But if I where you I would really practice for the test and the specific question styles so you are prepared :)

    Hey, hast du vielleicht Tipps wie man eine Unterkunft in Odense findet? Ich habe von der sdu etwas angeboten bekommen, was mir leider zu teuer ist da ich einen Monat bevor mein Auslandssemester beginnt schon bezahlen muss.. Ich gehe im Februar 2024.. ich hoffe dass ich noch eine Alternative findet :)
    In welcher Unterkunft warst/bist du untergebracht ? :)

    Heyy also ich komme aus der Schweiz und würde sooo soo gerne in Dänemark studieren. Jedoch steht bei meinem Studienkurs Clinical Biomechanics (Chiropraktik) dass man dafür das höchste Level für dänisch also irgendwie Level a haben muss. Ich könnte jetzt anfangen dänisch zu lernen aber ich denke nicht dass ich mit eineinhalb Jahren bis auf Level a kommen kann? Was denkst du..😭Musstest du auch einen dänisch test machen?

    • @diariesofablonde
      @diariesofablonde  Год назад +1

      Oh wow. Also mein Studium ist auf Englisch, von daher musste ich gar keinen Dänisch Test machen. Ich habe allerdings angefangen dänisch zu lernen. :) die Grammatik und viele Vokabeln sind sehr ähnlich. Nur die Aussprache ist bisschen komisch. Ich würde die Uni einfach mal anschreiben. Dänen sind super hilfsbereit. Dänisch gut zu lernen in 1 1/2 Jahren ist auf jeden Fall machbar vor allem wenn (wie bei dir) die richtige Motivation da ist. Du musst halt so gut dänisch können, dass du den Stoff in der Uni verstehst. Aber ganz ehrlich, im Notfall machst du halt ein Semester länger wenn man im ersten Semester erstmal in die Sprache reinkommen muss.
      Zum anfangen kann ich dir die Babbel App empfehlen. Kostet zwar Geld, ist aber deutlich besser als Duolingo.
      Ich kann dir wirklich nur Mut machen. Go for it! 😊 wenn noch mehr Fragen sind oder ich dir noch mehr Mut machen soll, dann lass es mich wissen!

      @jfdefrezchgw9925 Год назад

      @@diariesofablonde Also wenn ich mich nicht täusche ist auf der Website gestanden, dass dieses Studium auf Englisch und Dänisch ist daher glaube ich, dass es schon eine gute Idee ist, die Uni anzuschreiben.
      Noch eine Frage: musstest du den IELTS test machen oder welchen Englischtest hast du gemacht?
      Danke für alles!!

    • @diariesofablonde
      @diariesofablonde  Год назад +1

      @@jfdefrezchgw9925 Da ich in Deutschland zur Schule gegangen bin, musste ich nur einen Nachweis von meiner Schule holen wo drauf stand wie viele Stunden Englisch ich hatte. Es kann sein, dass das in der Schweiz auch so ist. Einige Länder hatten bei mir diese Regelung. Aber wenn du doch so einen offiziellen Test machen musst, dann auf jeden Fall lieber IELTS Test als TOEFL zum Beispiel. Habe beide mal gemacht und IELTS war deutlich besser. Und bereite dich darauf vor, da die Aufgabenstellungen von der Struktur immer gleich sind :)

      SDU is one of the top ranking universities in the whole world; last time i checked, it was 315 or 325! And the Engineering faculty has been flourishing amazingly! Not only saying this because I am the only student member in the study board of engineering subjects of SDU, but also saying this because of the continuous support from the biggest industries and the government bodies of Denmark for the growth and development of the Engineering subjects especially. As a non-EU/EEA students, we don't get SU, but we do have a good chance of having full tuition waiver and a minimum scholarship which can support our monthly house rent. Odense has a better chance of on-campus or off-campus part-time employment for non-danish speakers than Sønderborg. I would also suggest to contact university authorities regarding anything before/during/after applying for any sort of queries. They are helpful, and ready to help via emails. There is also the biggest Facebook group for Bangladeshis in Denmark, which is named BASAD; I also recommend this one.
      If I had time on my hand, I would write something elaborate about the last question you asked. But that would take at least 1 hour for me to write briefly. Maybe I can make a video of my own regarding this after February. I am busy with exams till the end of February. 😅

      For sure :) it is a great city and great university. The city itself is also really young (young people).
      Depending on the job it is easy to find. If you just want to work 10 hours per week to get the extra help from the danish government then there is always delivery or cleaning jobs. A lot of my friends do that. Finding a job in a company is a bit more difficult but possible :) what are you thinking about studying?
