I feel like criticizing people for complaining about the auto focus is unfair. There have been many reports of the camera indicating that it has acquired focus, when it hasn't. Shooting moving subjects where you have a green auto focus box, and seeing those images are not in focus isn't a bad photographer, but an issue with the camera.
Fuji includes continuous auto focus, and when the camera reports that it has acquired focus, the photo should be reliably in focus.
The solution shouldn't be "the right way to use the camera is to not use broken features". Fuji advertises the auto focus for "continuously moving subjects", and if the camera reports "I'm in focus" the high rate should be relatively high.

Very fair point. Hopefully their latest firmware fixed the issue.

I agree with your rant at the start! Most cameras have plenty speed when it comes to autofocus. My Leica SL3 is considered not fast with autofocus, but to me it's super snappy. Maybe because I use my M11 more than anything else, which you know is manual.
    Love your vids.

Thank you. And yes, coming from our M’s everything is snappy!

100% agree. I bought a Sony RX1R II new just this year. Everyone said its a 10 year old camera and autofocus was inferior. Uhhhh….took it to Disney World and never missed focus once. I photographed 2 and 3 year old family members, cast members, rides, everything. The 10 year old tech was more than fine for me. And this is a sleeper camera that I think is better than the X100V, which I also have and brought to Disney. Although to be honest, loved the X100V too, but the RX1R II just had such a good feel for me.

As i watch this video plays I am thinking a couple of thoughts... so glad you stopped showing the Olympus! LOL! Only because it made me miss that system and certain lenses... Secondly, I would to see a video from you as to how you approach folks to pose for you... not the clients, but when you do these "fun" sessions... would really love to hear your insight... and lastly, man I think you really have "G.A.S."!! Thanks, you are still the only channel I watch regardless of the gear you are using... I am always getting something out of what you share...

Agree with your start rant. The way people hide behind their kit can get extreme.
There are people on Fuji photography forums who take intensely boring/uncomposed street photos, then try to make them exciting using short focal lengths, black and white, and far too much clarity/contrast. It's horrible.

I think everyone goes through that over processing phase. It does get to be a little much

@@kaskoPhoto Yeah. One bloke's been doing it for a long time and even puts his signature stamp on every photo. It's like long-term trolling but he seems to love his photos.

The camera is just a tool, the skill should be with the person who's taken the photo. I was a auto technician for over 15years. The tools and equipment I had to use was either from a top tier supplier or something I got from Sears. But the final outcome was a job that was always done well.
