We were just in the Beyond. The magic carpet goes down to deck at dinner time, otherwise it’s in those top few decks. I agree with more options for included dining would’ve been nice.
I’m starting to think it was just broken on our sailing because it never made it to the lower levels when we were on board, but a lot of other people have also said that it did on their sailing.
@@Cruisenewsandbooze You can't actually see it on deck 5 unless you look for it and walk outside. It's not like the upper decks where you see it from a distance. It's really hidden behind "Raw on 5". I'm pretty sure it's only there a couple hours before it goes back up.
My 10 cents. Pool bar gets busy but never had to wait too long but then again I'm usually just getting beer during the day, if cant be bothered to wait use one of the servers. Eden a great atmosphere but I usually stick to regular cocktails not the fancy ones. I know you have previously praised World Class bar and martini bar. Sunset bar at back of ship is another good option and i found the staff there great. Unfortunately the pool gets busy with people just standing around drinking. Craft Social is a bit hit and miss as it gets busy. Im back on board in December.
Breakfast is offered at one of the main dining spots. There’s a pizza spot for late night snacking. The Beyond was fantastic! Not perfect but my wife and I absolutely loved it.
I'm really suprised with the situation with the coffee. From our experience with the Speciality coffee at Cafe Al Bacio it was v nice. All freshly brewed for each customer and all in a pottery cup, each had a biscuit on the side, plus a cake of choice if you wanted one. Yes on takeaway coffee it was in a cardboard cup of sorts and agree an iced coffee etc it wouldn't have been great, on sea days in poor weather it does get very busy so we struggled for seating and had to settle for a takeaway coffee and find seating elsewhere.
Just about every Ship I've been on seems like the Pool is always packed. I'm going on the Beyond in a few months here. Hopefully we have a great experience. Thank you for the Video.
This is very true, we had much better luck in the Plunge Pools on the side of the ship they were much less crowded than the main pool! Have a great cruise!
Sadly my last 3 RCCL ships the pool bar service has been very poor, and I remember 10+ years ago the people at the pool bars seem to always be Jamaican or people from the islands and they were always happy and fun. Today they are mainly Indian and as you say..."look like they do not want to be there" but sometimes you still get a friendly Filipino.
@@e92miami that’s unfortunate to hear, we found it very odd because on the rest of the ship the service was outstanding, but the pool bartenders seemed miserable!
Thank you for your opinion as I didn't purchase a drink package but did want to try the pistachio latte and the lavender martini. Now I know where to focus my drink purchases on thanks to this and your drink video.
Celebrity used to my line of choice but no longer. Not with the Edge class ship's direction. Your issues are with soft goods like bar service and coffee quality and that's easily fixable. Pool sizes, that's not. What is not fixable is Celebrity has turned their product into an NCL Prima type of ship. For those that aren't Celebrity long-time cruisers that's fine. But for me, it's like another line and this ship is like some other ship, not really Celebrity. So, Edge class ships are for a different Celebrity cruiser and I hope they make a class again for Celebrity cruisers. But they'll have to reduce the amount of restaurants, give up on the ship in a ship concept, bring back areas they took away from the Solstice class and a look/feel, modernized, of the Solstice class. I don't think they will. So, there's HAL and Cunard, Princess seems to be moving toward this NCL Prima type of ship as well. btw, I thnk the Magic Carpet is a gimmick and an eyesore.
We have used Cruise Compete to book a cruise for later this year, it does seem to be legit as far as we can tell so far lol. Just be aware that the pricing seems to change pretty fast from what they initially quote you. As far as Atlas Travel they were definitely the best of the agency’s that reached out to us. I don’t recall leaving them a review so I’m not sure how they got that lol.
@@Cruisenewsandbooze lol ok thank you. Yeah it was a simple one: 5 out of 5: (Michael) "Excellent service, quick and through! Bonus - They spoke fluent English." Jan 24, 2024 Cruiser: CruiseNewsAndBooze But I had just watched this video like a few hours before I read the reviews and recognized it. I just didn't want to get scammed! It's a lot of money to pay someone that isn't directly to the company, you know?
Yeah absolutely! We kinda thought the same thing. We booked Icon with them and we did get the best price and also got about $500 of OBC which was really nice. Everything seems on the up and up so far, since we can see the booking on Royal Caribbean. We will definitely update after the cruise about how everything was booking with Atlas.
I understand that there is no guys burger or a cafe promenade or a park cafe but this is Celebrity. Celebrity isn’t known for those types of food places. There’s still almost always something in the buffet, mast grill is there, and the spa juice bar for healthy snacks. If you need more than that maybe Celebrity isn’t the cruise line for you.

Sunset bar was another one of our favorite for sure! Lots of great options on that ship!

It is an amazing ship!

That’s interesting to know! I’m glad to know that what we experienced isn’t the norm, I’m assuming the quality can vary depending on the staff.

So glad you found our videos helpful! The lavender martini is fantastic!
I didn't have any negative experience with the vast majority of the problems that were mentioned. Bars can get busy, in deed.
That’s true, everyone can have a different experience.
So no breakfast in the buffet area? We never eat in the dining rooms
They do have breakfast in the buffet! That’s actually where we went most days, we just wanted to give the dinning room a try one morning.
I'll be on this ship next week. Maybe I should have watched the things you loved video first! I'll have all of this in the back of my mind.
Well you may have a different experience! Every cruise is different, it’s a beautiful ship though, I’m sure you will have a good time!
Thanks

Stay in a suite. The retreat deck has a pool and two hot tubs
We will definitely look into that next time!
how disappointing about the coffee!!
It really was disappointing! You would at least expect fresh espresso, not stuff just sitting on the counter.
