Eduardo Ramirez true bro! jist trying to show people what goes on at night before the store even opens .. we are the ones who have to make our boss's look good and of course our store.
Cristofer Torres yeah specially for those items on the bottom shelf you won't have to push back the cases as stock controller I tell my boys this so they won't struggle
Try putting a plastic bag on cart so u can use one cart only . Two carts makes little more difficult to move around aisle with lots cases maybe carry extra bag In yo pocket.
is it faster to seperate the merchandise from the pallet onto the floor in the aisles they need to go in or is it quicker to just grab one or two boxes at a time and to walk them there and unload them onto the shelf in the same trip?
Also, I get pallets all the time that are mixed aisles, so I'm not going to drag a whole pallet from one side of the store to the other time after time, just separate and get it in the aisle it needs to be in. Plus, If you have a new guy that you are trying to train. It is easier for him to stock when the product is right there infront of where it needs to go, Instead of him looking down the whole aisle to find it.
Hey buddy. So when u take your load to the aisles they go in.. like on the cages/pallet, do you then take it from there & stack in front of where it goes for every item before putting on shelf? And is this faster then taking from the load? And does this usually happen when u have customers in store? Or only after hourz
I'm on year 26 in my stocking life and my crew is old, and we still kill the truck by 5:30-6, every morning, 35-40 pallet base, 5-8 pallet lv... This store looks rough, no real system, we bang every aisle, this store looks rough, my brother.......
What is that for a shoddy looking store? And why they stock the store overnight? Where I live it's normally done in the hour before the store opens and here and there during opening hours. And it's all done by store employees.
Its faster to drop the load first into close location of product on shelves as the pallet and idea is differcult as you will be working all over the place. Also dropping you can face the stock as you go.The only time working off the pallet is soft drinks and crisps isle where the item / product is large and product location quantity is more. Also freezer items are easier to work off pallets. Chilled items depending on the size is best to drop, but not too much at a time as we have to keep the temputure of these items low.
Jayshawn Mccoy daam bro ! yea ive been doing the same isls for about a year .. heaviest isle from the store.. i try to go hard everynight man.. but some nights im not feeling it at all and slow down the gears ha .. Cant be killin myself every night no point

At my heb we spot the cases in the dead center of the isle it's easier and more comfortable to stock that way
Francisco Saucedo hey i never thought of that! good idea!
Cristofer Torres yeah specially for those items on the bottom shelf you won't have to push back the cases as stock controller I tell my boys this so they won't struggle
How do u do it for trash floor , basket or boxes?
Try putting a plastic bag on cart so u can use one cart only . Two carts makes little more difficult to move around aisle with lots cases maybe carry extra bag In yo pocket.
I work overnight stock at Giant Food Stores in Pennsylvania the trucks are always heavy
Man bro that’s a crazy heavy aisle. I’m glad I worked Safeway for grocery. Our loads were light.
Shit what Safeway is that lol my shit is crazy
Man those are some long ass aisles, I don't think the average person who has never stocked grocery at night know the amount of work that's required.
Was thinking the same thing lmao
is it faster to seperate the merchandise from the pallet onto the floor in the aisles they need to go in or is it quicker to just grab one or two boxes at a time and to walk them there and unload them onto the shelf in the same trip?
Samantha Walker way faster to spread the load onto the floor .. cause here we get about 15 pallets to 20 pallets a night
Cristofer Vidz
How many guys for 15-20 pallets so that's about anywhere from 1200-2300 a night right?
Also, I get pallets all the time that are mixed aisles, so I'm not going to drag a whole pallet from one side of the store to the other time after time, just separate and get it in the aisle it needs to be in. Did you order your own aisle when you did this? That is my favorite part in addition to the premium pay
Is this harder than overnight sanitation?
From what hours do y’all work too cause I’m thinking of applying for that position????
Awesome
Tiffany Dosal thanks 😀

Why won't those guys work the load off the cart or work it off the pallet why touch the case two or three times. It's called best practices.
