I used your video to help me install instead of the instructions lol. But I dropped the washer down into my bike and almost the plastic piece but I held onto it! Lol. Rip washer
My instructions say the washer goes under the end of the damper connected to the handle bars, the plastic washer and collar go under the center damper on the bracket to the gas tank. Tightened to 97 inch lbs
I added the GPR Steering Damper V5. I think it looks clean compared to a rod on there, IMO. I added to both my ZX6R and ZX10R ( took off electronic dampner to add the GPR V5.)
I assume you had to either slice a piece of the key in order to get clearance w/ the GPR? Or did you purchase the entire kit that includes the GPR clip on kit?
Just installed this exact one on my 2024. Couldn’t help but notice my instructions say to use the washer for the other bolt connecting to the bracket. So just the collars on the center and the washer for the other T40 bolt. Might want to check yours.
Thanks for the detailed video brother. I will have my kit within few days. Can you suggest setting(s)/number on damper now that you have had some time riding with damper kit. Thanks
I have the 2013 zx6r along with yss steering damper, I’m not sure if it use m6 or m8 bolt (along with the thread length - i dont know the required length) on the damper clamp to install quadlock phone mount.
I could but it would not reflect a lot of what they do. The damper will take away the harsh slap that can happen...and well with it in place that won't happen.
Have you still got the torque settings for the center m8 bolt as i bought a used bike with this already on and want to fit a ram mount but want to make sure i torque it up afterwards properly?
They stop putting them in 2004 and 2005. This was due the extra wheel balancer In the fork that was inputted and they believed it didn't need it. I rode without one for years but sad to say had a few close calls. The zx6rr had 1 but it was a add on
@@NoBSZone ya it was in the fork mounts apparently in 05. It didn't make much sence to me when I asked a tech about it one time but apparently that's what kawasaki engineered. But it did nothing when there was an emergency wheel hobble but for small vibrations it worked acceptable. But I loved my 05 636 andni had alot of good memories. But great video man I think you did a great job with the step by step instructions.
@@Cbrmansc77 You.had someone feed you a line of BS. I been rebuilding forks for 25+ years...no such thing. Consensus is dampers were removed as a cost cutting measure as the 600 Supersport class demise and kawi less involved in support of the class. The mounting points are still present to add the damper to all models.

Just cool to see someone else in Michigan that went through hoffer performance.
Been working with him closely for good 15 years.

lmao ill pray u find it😂😂
Thank you, just ordered a kit.

Yea, GPR makes good stuff!

Nice tutorial!!! Kawasaki factory instructions are always fun!
Went with this version. Cleaner install and looks better.
Totally agree

I just looked at the one on my zx10r and did it same as was sent from kawi. Good looking. Thanks
Awesome thank you!
You bet!
Top!!!!!
Thanks
thanks for the amazing video, would you please elaborate on which RAM mount that is fit the (MA RAM Mount) mentioned please?

Really depends on the road and pace. Put in middle go from there.

What levers are those? That red on them looks good
These are Puig levers on the zx6r.
@@NoBSZone thank you! They look really nice!
@@javiermurillo4669 I am normally a ASV person but the quality, fit, finish, adjustability and overall feel of these is very nice.
Hi, how did you get a torque bolt with wrench to fit the inner side of the bracket that goes under the triple tree?
I used swivels
Hi mates. May I know the model type of Ohlins like your video? Part code or model name maybe help.. Thanks
Can you post a video on your experience riding with the damper installed?
I could but it would not reflect a lot of what they do. The damper will take away the harsh slap that can happen...and well with it in place that won't happen.
Other than the mountings any idea what the differences arecwuth the krt ohlins vs the ohlins sd042 they recommend on their site?
No not off hand.
The other ohlins for the new zx6r mount to that middle mount where most phone mounts go? Which one is this?
This is KRT kit
By chance what is the part number for 2023 ninja zx6r krt model thnxxx
Item # 99994-0350

The torque is same for bolt regardless of adding the ram ball or not
@@NoBSZone sorry what I mean is I don’t know what the torque should be. So when I fit this ram ball i need to know what to torque it back too?
Should be the same for 2024 ?
I would "guess" but that bike does have some changes though i think most are cosmetic.
I’ve googled the part number and they are all 5-800$ I seen you had a comment saying you found it for close to 400 which website did you go thru?
May have gone up in price .....like everything these days. Sportbike Track Gear is a go to for me as its local in Michigan and family owned.
Will that mount work on the 2013-2018 zx6r? I prefer that mount to the one on the center steering location that the 13-18 ive seen. Anyone know?
Look up under the right side of your upper triple. Are there two holes?
@@NoBSZoneapologies lost track of this project. Yes, the too clamp has the same and seems was unchanged. Thanks!
Is it any difference with the 2024 zx6r install
I doubt it.
Is this really required on zx6r?
If you ride aggressive or on track yes

Did you buy it from kawasaki ? was it a special order ? What's the price point?
Can buy online they about $400

Thanks I have to check it out. So far no binding and works as intended.
