As an ex biker I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes. I've been to or seen a few biker's funerals but this was something else. Barrow has done Dave proud. What a fantastic community. Dave was more than a cook and TV presenter, he was university educated, with a degree in Fine Art, and a Masters degree in Art History. I watched him in Christmas University Challenge and was impressed with his breadth of knowledge. He appeared on Children in Need, and the Celebrity Chase, both for charity, and Strictly. A remarkable man
Brilliant!!! Hubby was stuck in traffic for an hour early this afternoon and cared not a jot as he saw all the bikers making their way up . Fab tribute ❤
I rode past you over the bridge on my way to join at Burton services. Absolutely amazing tribute to Dave. Great footage from the side of M6. Thanks for posting
I was honoured to be a marshal and was up front riding behind Si, the total and official number of bikes was 46,136, which is mind blowing, your video has just had me in tears again, what a beautiful and emotional day we, had, I set off at 2am from home near Grange, rode down to London and rode back up again, worth every single yard of the journey
I was the paramedic on that bridge! A great video tribute from you both, to a great man. Lancashire and Cumbria did us proud, along with a ‘few’ bikers! All really well behaved and respectful - a wonderful tribute. RIP Dave Myers, a great hairy biker, and not so bad at cooking either.
I saw you! My first thought was, I hope we don’t have any jumpers today! You do a magnificent job for the public, know a few paramedics in Manchester, you have to deal with a lot! Thank for your service 🙏🏻❤️
@@LancashireLarks Thank you for your kind words. It sounds corny but it is an honour and privilege to work as a paramedic. I swapped on to a different response car later in the day, and followed some late arrivals up the M6 as far as Lindale roundabout. I saw no mishaps or incidents (thankfully!). Stay safe!
I live in Barrow and rode out to the motorway to join them for the ride back it was amazing, the people of Barrow and the surrounding areas came out in force every bridge every village every corner and roundabout, and the we hit Barrow ... I've never seen my towns main streets so packed it was fantastic! A moving tribute to one of Barrows own sons.
I can not explain how much this touched my heart. My late husband loved his motorcycles. He would have loved this. I live in Anamosa, Iowa USA, and we used to have the largest motorcycle rally here in July. Sadly, it's no longer a "thing" since J&P cycles and the National Motorcycle Museum " closed. I loved seeing this
Thanks to all the people that packed the bridges out it was brilliant to see you all waving and clapping us along' it's was quite emotional and and an amazing experience to be part of it.... 👍👍👍
I cried my way through this. What a wonderful tribute to what seems to be an amazing person. Wish I had known about the show, it sounds amazing. Bless the bikers for turning out en masse.
Me too ! what a moving tribute to a nice guy we all knew through his “ hairy biker’s “ show his many celebrity appearances ( Srictly) and of course his love of motorcycles. In the same week as we commemorate our D day veterans it made me proud to see the enormous love, respect & unity shown from all the bikers and everyone who turned out to honour a truly great guy 🙏🏍️

My dad died at 69 from prostate cancer (guys get yourselves checked please) he bought me tickets to see Dave and Si at the corn exchange Newbury, great night! I hope dad and Dave are cooking together now in their dodgy shirts ❤
Bikers are the best people. They always turnout when there’s a cause. Such a shame that youth are priced out of such a lovely and pleasurable hobby. Everytime I see this I feel sorrow for Si having lost best mate in life. I ve lost two and it’s heartbreaking. Rip Dave you touched so many
