    Oh have I been there and done that!!! But I never made it back to the cockpit. ***Taps Plays as ship augers into the ground at 450m/s***

    oh man, nice work. it's a shame that you had to be that good at disaster recovery in this game, we shouldn't have these issues :(. I'm still having the "ouch I bumped my toe *dies*" problems on planet let alone space-based issues

    when they finally fix multiplayer this should not happen anymore, because your speed should be relative to the ship

      +XnecromungerX In all actuality, This doesn't really happen at the vanilla speed limit of 104.4 m/s, You might bounce a little but if the server sim speed is at 1.0 like it should be, it wont kill you outright/have you clipping through blocks.
      At 250m/s though, shit gets wonky.
      The game DOES put your speed relative to the ship when getting out of seats, In fact, when he got out of the seat, it put him to the ships velocity at that time, 235.5m/s, But the ship slowed down slightly and he impacted the forward glass and instantly killed his forward velocity, sending him into the instagib.
      He even respawned in at the appropriate speeds, but the game engine simply is not designed to track player interraction with moving ship blocks at over 104m/s, so any time he touched a surface at that lower speed, it either killed him or did a great deal of damage.
      There is a limit on the speed for a reason, and if you choose to mod yourself over that, then it's on your head, not the dev's.

      +Kazana, Aoi Actually I turned on inertial dampeners by accident on the jetpack!

      Oh, Haha! Well, A similar thing resulted from it, then. The rapid decelleration in relation to the ship = squish.
      I actually somehow missed the very dramatic zoom in on 'Inertial Dampeners On' xD
