Slash's solo at the end.. still gives me goosebumps. he is one of those few people who doesn't play a guitar, the guitar is a extension of him. it vocalises the pure raw emotion.
Just like Clarence Clemons' sax solo on Jungleland being one of the best sax solos, Slash plays one of the best guitar solos on Nov. Rain standing on a piano. Fantastic!
November Rain is Axl's masterpiece. He actually started writing the song in 1985 not long after GNR formed. It was going to be on their debut album Appeteite For Destruction but it wasn't finished although the other band memebers wanted to help Axl finish the song, he wanted to complete it on his own so Sweet Child O' Mine took it's place. The orchestral part of the song was made on 8 synthesizers as Axl went through thousands of different sounds to replicate an orchestra as it was impossible to get a whole orchestra into the studio. The orchestra you see in the video is actually playing with GNR when the video was made. The woman Axl marries in the video was his girlfiend at the time, Stephanie Seymour. The video is about Axl having a nightmare which is based on the short Story With You from a book called The Language Of Fear written by the bands authorised biographer & friend of Axl called Del James. November Rain is part 2 of the video "trilogy" with Don't Cry part 1 before it and Estranged part 3 after. Also the little church you see Slash walking out of was used in the film Silverado & the guitar he's using once belonged to Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry which Slash gave him back for his 50th birthday. Axl explains in a documenatry that the song is about unrequited love. The funeral is because she shot herself in the head hence why you see the split caskest.
Yes! Most people don’t catch the split casket (a mirror placed in a casket to reflect one side of the body to hide head trauma, for those that didn’t know) Also the reason she commits suicide is because she discovers his infidelity. Thanks for the story of Slash and the guitar, never knew that gem of information!
axl is an icon, one of best and widest voices ever, like in his prime he was untouchable, if only he took care of his voice, all those drugs, alcohol and unhealthy lifestyle did him bad, now he barely can sing and whole band is dependent on him, could be touring even now, but sadly he is done ;\ true legend of 90s
November rain is a part of Triology of videos, combined with Don't cry and Estranged. React to them all, they're one of the most expensive music videos ever made in history.
It's so odd that Don't Cry is mentioned just because it's a pining love ballad (both versions) whereas November Rain & Estranged are definitely a duology and a before & after that Axl Rose himself explained in a short.
I remember when i first heard the song, i immediately bought their album Your illusion 1 in cassette tape and kept on rewinding my walkman for 2 weeks. Good days.
Slash is one of the greatest rock guitarists of all time, the first solo is simple but powerful, uplifting and hopeful, the second is dark, distraught, and wailing in despair
The bride in the video is Super Model Stephanie Seymour was dating Axl Rose at that time in late 90's. The person walking down the street was Axl and he was going by A ( Guns)& ammo shop florist that sales (Roses).
Some many songs by guns …this is a 3 part story.. don’t cry .. November rain.. estranged.. slash has a side project. Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the conspirators.. Anastasia live from Sydney. Great start.. slash is one of the best of our time
slash and jimmy page have always been my favorite rock guitarists..... its like they're singing a song full of emotion dedicated to you when they play and you cant help but love it 🫶
This song has always given me chills, but the older I get, the more I understand it, the more it really MOVES me!!, I luv the way you two interact with each other! Great Channel!!
I know what this song means now. However, I did not as a child nor could understand all the words. This video and song is still amazing. Love the use of the orchestra, the church, the solos, the message on the surface. Guns and Roses definitely earned their spot in our hearts. Even MJ loved Slash.
If you like the epic nature of this song I recommend you react to “ESTRANGED” next. It’s even more epic and the video is incredible too. If you just want to hear a great rock song that defines the band, listen to Paradise City.
Fantastic reaction! The bride actually committed suicide. If you re-watch the video, when she is shown in the casket, you will see there is a mirror in the middle of her face reflecting her. This is because of a self inflicted gun shot making it impossible to otherwise have the open casket. It’s chilling once you realize. When you go back, also remember back then, we didn’t have drones so Slashes solo is shot with a helicopter. Gives it the epic wind for the hair but just imagine that production on the rewatch too. It’s amazing how well this video holds up decades later. The song and video are truly a masterpiece.
Just found your channel guys I'm from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania I grew up listening to acdc LED Zeppelin all Rock and roll keep up the good work 💯🏋️♂️🏋️♀️😇❤️
The guitar Slash is holding in the church solo formerly belonged to Joe Perry from Aerosmith, it's a 1959 Gibson Les Paul, very valuable. Slash actually gave this very guitar back to Joe for his 50th birthday, a million dollar guitar.
Slash’s solos are unlike any other guitar solos I’ve heard. The pure emotion alone is outstanding and the fact that he can still do them drunk is absolutely amazing
Don't remember hearing this before. Glad you mentioned the dress. I remember when that was the style. Thankfully it didn't last long. I didn't realize that Axle played piano either. Pleasantly surprised
if you pay attention to the casket, there's a mirror on the face, they usually do this method with people that passed away with a self inflicted wound to the head or also if somebody else did it such as a blunt hit or a shot...
You see so many signs and hints of discontent during the wedding part of the clip (just look at the bride's expressions)! It's such a perfect surreal representation of unrequited love.
If you really pay attention to the words and video you'll realize the bride is suicidal and kills herself. There are too many hints of this to list here but a few main things are: you see the gun store, later the gun is hanging on a wall in the background, the red wine bottle that spills out red symbolizes when she shoots herself in the head, then you see the fun is no longer on the wall, and the last clue i'll mention is to look closely at when you see the bride in the casket. You only see half her face. The other side of her face is a reflection in a mirror of that same side of her face. This is an old mortician trick. The other side of her face is disfigured from her gun shot would but the mirror provides a reflection of the good side so she looks whole and beautiful.
Great job with your reaction to November Rain from-Guns and Roses. This was one of the most expensive music video ever made . And part of a trilogy The first song Don't Cry & November Rain and ending with Estranged .

This song always makes me think about the ups and downs (November Rains) in my relationship with my Beloved Wife. The "rainy" times come for all of us - but they don't last forever. Commitment and Loyalty get you through it. There are Sunny ☀️ times around the corner if you are committed. One of my favorite comments about this video I saw somewhere else "You may be cool, but you'll never be Slash playing a solo on top of a grand piano cool."
Si realmente no habían visto el video antes los felicito por la excelente interpretación que fueron realizando de él. Realmente supieron ir leyendo lo que la historia del video iba enseñando. Felicitaciones! 👏 Saludos desde Buenos Aires, Argentina 🇦🇷
Slash's guitar solo always intrigued me because when he walks out to do his solo the church is tiny compared to the beginning of the video in a huge church.
This song is very personal to me as it has become the story of my only true love in life. I was married on a bright and sunny November day to my beautiful wife and love was to be forever. But unfortunately as this song says , “ Nothing last forever… even cold November Rain “ …. Almost 8 years to the day I was divorced on a very cold and rainy November day …. As I walked out of the courthouse a broken man , into the cold rain and a unknown future. My point being to me this song is all about the different stages of love between two people. In the beginning it’s all sunny and happiness and feelings of lasting forever. But then over time the love starts to lose intensity, meaning and just begins to die until the divorce happens. In this video the bright and sunny day for the marriage is a metaphor for the love beginning and nothing but happiness and trust in a future together….. But then when the cold November Rain comes in and suddenly it becomes a funeral with the death of his wife …. That is just a metaphor for the death of the love and marriage/now divorce, as “ Nothing last forever, even cold November Rain “ …. And yes the rains then washes the past love away and you are left all alone again ….
Estranged My all time favorite song. There have been many songs I have liked better at any given time but considering it has never left my top 5 it takes the top spot.
check Guns N Roses - Estranged video very cool too and for me their best 2 songs without video but check the lyrics video for Civil War and Coma for me this 2 are their best compositions with November and Estranged.
The whole idea of the trilogy, which goes don’t cry November, rain, and estranged in that order and it came from a short story by a man named Del James. At the time they were the most expensive music videos done very high-quality.
Sad Fact...Axl sang this song at Lisa Marie's funeral in Jan. Elvis's only daughter. Still heartbroken 💔
Me too. Lisa's music will live forever. A true gem.
Did NOT know that. Damn. Comment section educating this old rocker.
I saw that too
Saw it. Loved the song until that funeral, then the reality of the lyrics set in. Then bummed out about her passing and the theme of this song.
As far as I know, this song was played and sung on Slash's wedding. I might be wrong, but don't judge me too harsh.
Slash's solo at the end.. still gives me goosebumps. he is one of those few people who doesn't play a guitar, the guitar is a extension of him. it vocalises the pure raw emotion.
Easily one of the greatest guitar solos of all time!
Just like Clarence Clemons' sax solo on Jungleland being one of the best sax solos, Slash plays one of the best guitar solos on Nov. Rain standing on a piano. Fantastic!

Never knew she was the daughter of Jane.
That’s because it isn’t true. No relation to Jane.

The whole idea of the trilogy, which goes don’t cry November, rain, and estranged in that order and it came from a short story by a man named Del James. At the time they were the most expensive music videos done very high-quality.
Please do welcome to the jungle…I love the lyrics…or sweet child o mine…thanks 🖖🏻🇨🇦
There are a live version with Robin Finck doung the first guitar solo and Buckethead the second with light in his eyes
La cara de barbels en el final del vídeo es un poema.
I love your reactions guys. Please do Nightrain (studio version) and Welcome To The Jungle live in Chicago! Salud
Weird saying: “I didn’t want to stop it”, but yet I did!
Great react. Try "It's So Easy" official music video to get a sense of their early vibe with a punk sound.
