- Friends and colleagues remember and celebrate the life and accomplishments of screen legend and wonderful human being, Dame Elizabeth Taylor. In this part, being interviewed are songwriter Carole Bayer Sager, actress Joan Collins and TV legend Larry King. Interview broadcast on CNN on 23 March 2011, the day she left us.
God bless Elizabeth Taylor and for all her extrodinary efforts towards the understanding of AIDS, it's eradication, and to the other many acts of kindness she provided to the patients, family and friends. Without her, I can only hope we'll have others to carry on against this horrible scourge. Thank you Carol Bayer Sager for illustrating a most beautiful tribute to this extrodinary woman. Joan Collins is such a wonderful woman!
Great Interview........... Carole Bay Sager nailed it...........
Dame Elizabeth was the epitome of movie star & humanitarian 🎭🌹💟🇬🇧🇺🇸
liz is a legend love her there will not be anyone like her anymore
When Elizabeth Taylor passed away, that was the end of all my favorites from The Golden Age of Hollywood. Elizabeth was one in a million. Like her or not, you got to admit, she was a true star. Beyond a mere 'movie star'.
She defined the light in « star ».
Carole was great
She was a friend to the Gay Community before it was fashionable, one Hell of a woman.
ABSOLUTELY !!!! Liz, Madonna and Doris Day....were the first to speak out. Later Princess Diana......and Sharon Stone...….!!
Years ago she expressed her respect for the gay community .She replied that there would be no Broadway or Hollywood without their enormous contribution . She loved Montgomery Cliff a Great actor and Rock Hudson her great friends She took a stand .
God Bless her.
Larry King ~~ was so right about Elisabeth Taylor ~~~ we never will have such a compassion and talented person as she was ~~ and whit that said ..... that close the door of Golden Age of Hollywood ~~ Hollywood this days is not more and less "JUST" a name ~~ which turned in "A" big dust !!! good by and RIP!!!!!!
Yes.. that was the end of my Hollywood... No longer have an interest in it or the movies. No one holds the interest or magic of what it takes to be a Hollywood star anymore, no one! Some are good actors, Some are notorious. But not have the magic or class or pull of staying power... Nothing Compares...
Elizabeth was like no other star. A true Queen who stood up for her friends and showed the great passion for life, love and above all caring. Those if us who had the honor to talk with her and see her on Broadway will never forget Our Queen of the Night. Her close friends will miss her more and more as time passes because she was a friend you could count on always in good times and bad she was there. May her spirit & legacy live forever. As MJ sang, 'Elizabeth We Love You.'
Elizabeth was a force of nature. Even though critics have panned Cleoptara because Liz was "too beautiful" to play her and it's "too Hollywood"... who cares? It was so spectacularly entertaining and fabulous and Liz chews up the scenery in that film the way Cleopatra would have in her day. Elizabeth to me is a true "actress" in the proper sense of the word. Not a "method" actress the way they all are now in the age of Streep who to me is a "working actress." With Liz you don't see the cogs working behind her eyes: she is simply a presence on the screen and it's as if the screenplay moves through her. She's not "working" the script or intellectualising the process the way a Streep does or Davis did. As wonderful as those women are. Taylor just emanates energy and light and an intensity which is very rare and what Larry King was referring to. Some of her later roles such as Virginia Woolf as she aged had the quality of high camp (which is what happens in Hollywood with older female stars) but in any event she always chewed up the scenery and became the focal point in any picture she was in. It wasn't just beauty. Sure she had that but many have that - it was pure presence.
Rip
Elizabeth Taylor 🌹💟🙏🌟
My mum looks like her x
She got involved in Aids before she knew Rock Hudson got it. She said so herself in an interview that you could probably find here on RUclips.
I love carole.
Like your Liz hair caole
She had that giggle way. A lot like my mom was.
I. Seen. Ms. Taylor. In. Person mid. 90s at. Perfume. Promotion. In. Kansas. City. She. Made. Silly. Comment. And. I. Couldn't. Stop. Giggling. As. She winked. She. Looked. Over. At. Me. 2. Min. Later. I'm. In. Stiches. By. Then couldn't. Stop. Giggling. Then. She. Started. Giggling. At. Me. We. We're. O nly. Ones. Giggling. A lady. Asked. Her. Who. Her. Favorite. Lover. Was. Liz shout back. In sarcastic. Tone. Ohhhhh wouldn't. You. Like. To. Know????? That's when i. Burst out. Laughing as. She. Looked at. Me. Winking
She was not in pain she was addictive
How would you know what her pain level was?
Funnt that both Carole and Joan RESEMBLE Liz.
Oh excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse me. ELIZABETH.
Charles Almon There was a time that Joan was referred to as "The poor man's Elizabeth Taylor" due to them being very similar physically and Elizabeth getting first dibs on all major roles.
The three do resemble one another. Sisters in spirit.
Two of her daughters?..
Elizabeth, Piers, ELIZABETH. She didn't like to be called Liz.
Omigosh ..... "To say they were wooden would be kind to trees!" - that is SO rich coming from Joan Collins!!!! She cannot act to save her LIFE. No wonder Liz got the role!!
Agree. Joan Collins is a woeful actress
@zacthecatty35 Dear, Elizabeth won an oscar for the role she was most pissed about, Butterfiled 8. So you are wrong on that issue. Taylor and Collins were both good actresses, but Taylor many times was an amazing one, something collins never did.
Piers has to be the worst interviewer ever. "Finally dead" RUDE!! constant interruptions too.
saw Liz Taylor in London..i dont think shes a good actress at all but...R.I.P.
You don't think so, but she's actually the Queen of Hollywood... Clark Gable wasn't a great actor either, and he was the King.
Miss Taylor is only the best 7th actress of all times. So says the American film Institute.
She won two Acadamy awards, so I guess your opinion is kind of mute.
