REON Driftbox W. Very rare. New synth day demo. First drone.

Picked this up new for a ridiculous low price online. Out of stock again now. Not really anything on RUclips for this W model so I’m having to start from scratch. Reon has a basic website and the manual (leaflet?) is very confusing. I’ll say it’s an ‘experimental’ drone synth! I’ve flicked switches for hours and got very confused, so I’m learning how the VCOs modulate and sync together as it seems to be key. I’ve patched stuff at the back which created some very subtle changes. Lots of learning to do. The build is excellent (it feels indestructible!). Doesn’t look like Reon have made this for a few years.

Cheers! From what I can see Korg originally distributed them a few years ago (maybe still do?) The Driftbox R had a limited edition version by Roland and there’s a few videos about that one. Going to see if I can get a sequencer to drive it 😊
