    I. LOVE. FAJITAS. Because they are easy and tasty and I most always have all of the ingredients at the ready! My favorite fajitas are usually made this way with sirloin steak, BUT HEAR ME OUT. You can make amazing fajitas with lesser cuts of beef, including BEEF STEW. Trust me. Watch to see how I made these and feel free to sub roasted vegetables or other meat (like chicken, if that's your thing. No judging here. 😉).
    PRINTABLE RECIPE CARD HERE: www.thisfarmwi...
    INGREDIENTS:
    * Meat of choice - for this recipe I used one pack of Beef for Stew
    * Onions and Peppers
    * Flour Tortillas
    * Choice of toppings - ie. shredded cheese, salsa, sour cream
    * Seasoning for meat of choice (I use Musket Powder - see link below)
    DIRECTIONS:
    * Cook meat (I cooked this beef stew for an hour in instant pot and seasoned with beef base and Musket Powder)
    * Saute veggies in butter (or butter and oil, because why not?)
    * Remove meat, drain and shred. Save the beef broth in fridge to use in other cooking (or pour over your dog's food. They'll thank you.)
    * Warm tortillas in microwave 20 seconds
    * Top tortillas with all ingredients and choice of toppings, fold, say Grace, eat. Amen.

    When you press "beef" and adjust the time down to 1 hour, dont touch anything. It will start the time automatically.
    Love the musket powder too. Got it a few weeks ago bc you shared it on your other channel.
    You did biscuits a few videos back on TFW, hope you do that again soon bc I forgot which video you did them on. I'm glad you're doing the cooking channel. Easy to find them when we need them. Blessings!

    Congratulations and great idea starting another channel! I love cooking with my cast iron skillet now. That’s all I use. You were the inspiration to get it out of the garage and clean the rust off. Now I think I need an instapot or instant pot lol. I searched this farm wife cooks and all your cooking videos popped up from your other channel. Love saltines and butter. You need to sell an olive oil container pourer thing. You use that often too. Also, never use your tripod. The videos are good because you don’t. Lol

    Meredith !!!! You have to try Graham Crackers with room temp butter. To die for, and in Chili, 3 large handfuls of Oyster Crackers in a bowl with the chili. Since you have beef bovines, this should not insult you. Cheddar is better from Wisconsin !!!

    I found out I like saltines dipped into applesauce .... Something about the sweet applesauce and the salty Saltines, is very satisfying.
    But I could see doing the butter. And we always have softened real butter. So not being an uppity person, I'm gonna give it a try!

  • @genesloan3175
    @genesloan3175 4 года назад

    More of your content is better! Glad to see this develop.... Because you cook like I cook, doing with what you have. In the world events, you can't always find what you need on the store shelves, anymore.....
    My favorite! Sweet peppers! They make a good veggie for a Chinese 1 pan meal. I've done shrimp, onion, sweet peppers, Teriyaki sauce, and some minced garlic.....and I'm sure the musket powder would do well as the seasoning of salt n pepper...all on a foiled sheet pan in the oven. Substitute the meat, it works with, beef, or chicken, also!
    Gene from middle Tennessee!

    Girl I told you once I’d give a 100.00s for one of your cast iron sirloins. This is a great move on your part. I see these vidieos going a long way. I took your advice on the musket powder and bought 4 bottles. My wife made a meatloaf today and used the musket. Man that is excellent seasoning. I’m starting to get her to watch your style of cooking. Don’t get me wrong we’ve been married 40 years, and she’s a great cook. It’s just that after all these years I’m tired of the way she cooks the way she does, Us country folk like BUTTER, grease, hot gravey, a pinch here and a pinch there. You cook like my grandma used too, and that’s a good thing. Good luck on your new vidieos we’l be watching.

    Good beef and good seasonings. I don't get sour cream, yuck! If you need to use less salt Mrs Dash has different flavors for a salt sub. Does LB like the pork that you received?. Did you say you sell mugs ? I thought you said you sell mud, not mugs lol.

    #2310 Sub reporting! I bet you can skim some of the cooking from the other channel if you get writers blank. Salted butter is fine to be left out, always has been. I'm sure I'll enjoy your new channel!
    Good Luck!

    Recipes are just a base. You start with that and you add or delete from there with what you have.
    Baking is different, baking recipes are formulas. You can’t alter those or you my not get good results.
