This song was requested at some point by somebody, luckily there's an instrumental for it. Makes my life a lot easier lol Very revealing lyrics from Fenrich's perspective, very homoerotic. I now understand why this song was played as the ending to the flashback DLC, it says a lot about Fenrich's true feelings.

Let me know what you want to hear! I'll prioritize the Disgaea songs that you request. I'm eventually gonna try and cover every Disgaea song that has lyrics so there's plenty to choose from. Also, if you happen to find any legit instrumentals for any Disgaea songs out there please let me know! I know there's some like Lord Laharl's Hymn where the instrumental version has a lead electronic beeping noise filling in the roll of the vocalist so I can't really sing to that, but having a karaoke instrumental version of a Disgaea song saves me a lot of time when my weeks are packed with stuff to do. Plus most of my instrumentals are acoustic based so its nice to mix things up a bit. Let me know :)

hm a curious question man ever thought of doing vocal covers to the final boss themes from the various disgaea games like its the villain or heroes perspective of the fight?
Do you mean writing lyrics for an instrumental-only final boss theme, like with Dramatic Devil Story, or writing translations for final boss themes with lyrics sung in Japanese (like with Lieze Rock)? If you mean the first thing, it would depend on how strong the lead line in the song is in the sense of "is there enough room to fit a vocal line in here without feeling like I'm conflicting with the lead melody?" If you mean the second thing, I'd have to look at the direct translation of the song I'm covering. When writing English lyrics, it's important to me that I capture some of the song's original meaning in Japanese so if the theme isn't being sung from the perspective of the hero or villain or isn't about the hero or villain then I wouldn't write the lyrics from either of their perspectives. Also, it'd be much easier if there was an instrumental version of the song I'm covering (and there's not many out there for Disgaea without a lead line replacement for the vocals). Otherwise I have to make the instrumental and the song will likely take on an acoustic vibe because that's what I enjoy making.
I hope that answers your question lol I've been taking a break from the channel to work on an album of original songs I'm hoping to release by February of next year. I'll keep this in mind when I start making covers again.
I have been talking with my friend about the slow degeneration of Disgaea that has been happening since DD2, with things like Disgaea doing what they originally made fun of, or with D6 trying to appeal to more general audience, neglecting what made the games special in the first place
I'm listening to this while thinking about the worst that can happen with the series, beacuse i just feel like those lyrics really do match what i'm feeling right now about this series i discovered only couple years ago and fallen in love
I hear what you're saying for sure. I wouldn't be too worried, I have faith the series will be fine. It has a very loyal, niche fan base and although D6 left a lot to be desired I think its a step in the right direction for D7 (cross your fingers its created in the future) once they expand on the creatable characters and make the auto-battld feature less abusable.

I'll definitely redo that one in the future, but I technically played it on acoustic in 2018 😅 you can find that cover on the channel. Again will definitely redo it though sometime soon.
