Roger's high raspy voice was so important in their harmonies. His tone is so cutting! Brian's voice was warm and in the center and Freddie was up there with Roger, but Roger made his falsetto count!
no auto tune, but there is an awful lot of reverb. I wish Freddie finished the studio version the same way he ended HTF at Wembley - "Hammer to - Hammer to - Hammer to FALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!"
that last line is kind of funny. his voice cracks. These isolated tracks are great. You could sit all day just listening to them. I always wanted to hear the Styx vocals isolated. I wonder if many of them are on YT. SEARCH INITIATED...
Thank you for posting this! I grew up listening to Queen. They are by far my favorite band! I love listening to the videos that you have posted breaking down the songs from just vocals, just drums, just guitars, just bass. Love listening to my most beloved songs in a whole new way! I wish I knew how to play those instruments, but at least I can still sing along. Whether I am actually good or not is up for debate ;)
Here we stand or here we fall History won't care at all Make the bed, light the light Lady Mercy won't be home tonight You don't waste no time at all Don't hear the bell, but you answer the call It comes to you as to us all We're just waiting For the hammer to fall Oh, every night and every day A little piece of you is falling away But lift your face, the western way Build your muscles as your body decays Tow the line and play their game Let the anaesthetic cover it all Till one day they call your name You know it's time for the hammer to fall Rich or poor or famous for Your truth it's all the same Lock your door but rain is pouring Through your window pane Baby, now your struggle's all vain For we who grew up tall and proud In the shadow of the mushroom cloud Convinced our voices can't be heard We just wanna scream it louder and louder What the hell are we fighting for? Just surrender and it won't hurt at all You just got time to say your prayers While you're waiting for the hammer to fall Hey, it's It's gonna fall Hammer, you know Yeah, hammer to fall Woo! Yeah, yeah Woo, woo! Ha! Hey! Waiting for the hammer to fall now
Greatness is not easy to truly achieve even though the word is thrown around a lot. But he achieved it. When you are great you are immortal and legendary

For sure .....simply my FREDDIE ❤ simply Queen ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
1:50 Roger's high-pitched backing vocals are amazing!
Queen vocal tracks are another song .... Amazing
Right? You don't realize how much you actually miss when the whole is combined. Holy crap. I really need to go get stuff done, but...
incredibly underrated video.. It NEEDS more attention.
GREAT VOICE, GREAT MAN, GREAT GREAT GREAT GREATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

Roger had no falsetto, he lost his falsetto in 1980/81, what you're hearing here is just his high pitched harmonies
no auto tune, but there is an awful lot of reverb. I wish Freddie finished the studio version the same way he ended HTF at Wembley -
"Hammer to - Hammer to - Hammer to FALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!"
1:32 Best part ngl. Admit it.
I love Freddie's Voice.

Man that coral Just sounds angelical
Here we stand or here we fall
History won't care at all
Make the bed, light the light
Lady Mercy won't be home tonight
You don't waste no time at all
Don't hear the bell, but you answer the call
It comes to you as to us all
We're just waiting
For the hammer to fall
Oh, every night and every day
A little piece of you is falling away
But lift your face, the western way
Build your muscles as your body decays
Tow the line and play their game
Let the anaesthetic cover it all
Till one day they call your name
You know it's time for the hammer to fall
Rich or poor or famous for
Your truth it's all the same
Lock your door but rain is pouring
Through your window pane
Baby, now your struggle's all vain
For we who grew up tall and proud
In the shadow of the mushroom cloud
Convinced our voices can't be heard
We just wanna scream it louder and louder
What the hell are we fighting for?
Just surrender and it won't hurt at all
You just got time to say your prayers
While you're waiting for the hammer to fall
Hey, it's
It's gonna fall
Hammer, you know
Yeah, hammer to fall
Woo!
Yeah, yeah
Woo, woo!
Ha! Hey!
Waiting for the hammer to fall now

1:38 con solo la pista de voz se diferencia mejor la voz de Roger y de Brian

No way to describe it.
That still doesn't describe it fully lol. but yes very epic!
@Johannore They are not using autotune......
i can't be the only one who loves 0:33
Nuestro DIOS FREDDIE MERCURY. 🎼🔥🍀🤴🦊✊
1:32 it's beautiful.
No autotune here - that's strictly for fakers, pretenders, poseurs, and cowards.
They invented autotune to try to fill the void Freddie left in music. They failed.
God 🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
At 1:22 it actually sounds like they used som kind of autotune... Was that even possible at the time?? Or is he just making it perfekt??
just making it perfect x)
Johan Norehag this was recorded in 1983, long before auto tune came into being
Freddie had pitch correction software encoded into his DNA. So did Whitney Houston.
@@garethhayes3470 was recorded in January '84 actually lol
no auto tune, but there is an awful lot of reverb
There was reverb and delay in the actual song
In the whole mix it sounds ok

What's with everyone mentioning autotune? Autotune didn't exist until 1997!!!
