I will offer a little clarity on a few points that you brought up in your video. First, the gears. You went from a 16 tooth diff gear to a 14. That is where the overdrive comes from. The difference is actually 13.5%. They rounded up. ; ) Second, you should not double o-ring each side. That is where the binding is coming from. Only one o-ring per side on the worm gear. I hope it helps. Keep building. 🙂👍
Hello guys, I mounted the treal overdrive, putting an O ring on each side of the helical, despite this the movement is not as smooth as it should, it tends to impinge a little. Do I use it like this or do I damage it in the long run? Thanks
@@MiguelCortez I'm adding them to both front and rear however I have rear steer so a front axle on the rear as well but the seller has it listed front and rear and I know some other RC channels do both when they are trying to get more speed.
Where do the o rings go guys? Is it 1 on each side of both gears? I mean there is 4 orings but I only had one on the front of the worm gear when I removed it and looked like maybe some old ones were on the sides but they were worn to oblivion
@Miguel Cortez kinda looks like it went thru pepboys with a shit magnet on. Take that scale crap off for performance. Looks cool, and it performs like a frigging golf cart.
Maybe take all that crap of the back and the roof to stop it tipping backwards? For someone showing people what to do that should have been a no brainer. There's 3 o-rings with the OD set, 1 is a spare. One ring each side, not 2. I watch your videos and I don't know man. There's a lot of bad advice in them. People watch them to learn but it's not always the best examples. Maybe stick to being an adult bmx rider.
Beautiful truck
👍
so much stuff on that Jeep, looks amazing!
Someone is going to be real lucky hahah
6:37 wait do you think overdrive means having lighter gears??
Faster spinning wheels

Thanks for the tips ! Will have to look into it again 👍
Which tooth count do you recommend?
Depends on what you are after
I just ordered the new 13t. When I installed the 14t, I used the o rings to space out the diff cover so it didn't bind
👍👍👍
outstanding class room, lol, thanks for the infomation, smash that like people, show some rc love!!!!!
😂😂
Does this result in the tires slipping out?
Not that I have noticed
Very informative 👏 👌 👍
Hopefully it helped 👍
The overdrive gears are awesome. I put one in my c10. Only thing is that it stutters a bit when reversing now, haha.
I noticed a bit of a stutter/ flex as well I’ll have to lube it up again 😎
Any options on gearing it down?
🤔🤔🤔

Mauro I have the same question !
It's binding because the differentials are not turning at the same rate, just like a full size rig.
Where can I find all those scale decorations? :O
Etsy
Cool Jeep, I'd be happy to own it. It would get lots of use.
👍👍👍
Overdrive gears are excellent upgrades for these lil ones. ALSO seriously everyone buy that wera driver its like $10 and the best tool you can have.
Hahahah glad you like the tool been using it for quite some time !
Is the overdrive only for the front wheels or can we put them in the back too?
Only recommend for the front I believe

love the build
Thanks 🙏

Favor free upgrade is the bumper flip ! Always can save !
Overdrive is nice
Overdrive does make a difference !
