Ant and Dec are among the host of VIPs arriving at Westminster Abbey for the Coronation of King Charles III. Others arriving for the historic day included Dame Emma Thompson, Lionel Richie, Stephen Fry and Andrew Lloyd Webber. Report by Daisy Busel.

I know there have been complaints about people chewing gum but the problem I can see is that no-one wanted to drink any water as they could not go to the toilets for over 6 hours. I will be honest, if I had been invited to the Coronation I would have refused as I cannot go all that time without wanting the Loo.
Or they could be Prince Louis where, apparently some are making a big deal of him disappearing for a few minutes. They think a kid that little can get through without a bathroom and maybe a snack break? Probably not.
@@MrsA2801 There's actually a scene where Kate spoke with Louis before he disappear from the scene. We all know how Kate love childrens so she probably let Louis take a break.

@@neilrobinson5115 it's the Honours Committee who decide who is going to be awarded a birthday or new year honour, but you have to be nominated first
once they have been decided then our Monarch is sent the list of names
David Beckham would have known this and that going to see our late Queen
Lying in State would not get him an honour
they are awarded for services to our country,Sport, Music, etc not for paying respects to a Monarch

It’s a shame that so many celebrities are invited to such events , true are so many people who do so much good charitable work that could be there instead. The danger is , to my mind, that royalty becomes a celebrity thing and loses respect and it’s role as a serious institution. It demeans the monarchy to get this involved with the shallow world of celebrity.
The celebrities who attended are all involved in charity work though. If I’m not mistaken all charities which the royals are also involved in. Lionel Richie (The Prince’s Trust) Katy Perry (British Asian Trust) Ant and Dec (The Prince’s Trust) etc.

Don't need celebritys we need to reward people not famous for their input to country instead of feeding anti monarchists. Most ppl lining the mall couldn't see what their basic incomes on yesterday the time comes for light grandstands I seat each. Most happy to pay small cost. No tents. No tall people in front of others especially the children who are the generation royals need to relate for future appeal. That grandstand at front ticketed but no ticket place on system later saw near empty was told for staff.. So staff double paid have more priority than general public. Toilets night before no water no toilet paper some closed wouldn't be allowed to use until 6am!!??? Standing that close in crowd was not safe. So stands one seat be better.. It was one occasion. For that reason alone protestors shouldn't be allowed due to crowds n children.. Police and military looked wonderful. Security some very nice hardly spoke English made up for sharp others who thought ppl could go quite a distance for loo. In such a crowd..
Viewing out of 10 and was there night before 3..when came to time to end we people down by front instead of gates open out first to front of Palace were held end to near end of queue.. Viewing properly was shocking.

I think Ant and Dec were pretty close with King Charles. They did documentaries on him, and they had a sit down interview with him Willam, and Harry like 20 years ago.
