24:04 "he's so good at the game" 😂 I hadn't properly noticed the emptiness of the maps until you mentioned it. Seems like that it adds to the atmosphere, that the areas have been abandoned by people and left to demons. It's a fun game to watch.
Love the video, what a fun game to explore. Just learned I've been apparently spending Strange Coins like a chump instead of jumping the turnstile. (Also, as someone who has used a lot of the Cricket, watching you *never* dash-reload after a kill is torture.)
28:50 they are not random, there are 3 types of mushrom with 2 skins each type, depending on their skin they heal or hurt you. (srry for my english xP)
With short range weapons which have lots of rapid fire shots(like cricket) you have to dash towards the enemy to expose their soul, shoot the soul with 1 bullet, stun them to deal significantly more damage, kill the enemy, dash immediately reloading the crickets Magazine and exposing the soul of the next enemy repeat profit
You don't need to dash TOWARDS, the enemy though. You just need to have them in your crosshairs. Dashing right into their face is a really good way of taking avoidable damage :)
Brother, use your demonic weapon (either crossbow or that grenade launcher), those things shreds everything, including bosses. Btw Ornate key drops from that Faithful guy in front of castle, he spawns in that event in front of main gate.
If we punch the enemies stuck in the ice dome spell, ... helps save ammo. And there are mechanics we can choose to fix their thawing reactions if we weren't able to punch them all. We can use ice dome defense - and then the stuck enemies thawing, we can use offensively.
i highly recommend the midas. it is so powerful, but you have to adapt to its play style. you want to get it to mysterium 3. basically you need to always be heated for extra damage, and when you hit overheated your reload is incredibly fast. so you want to immediately reload at overheated. it requires paying attention to the status of the gun at all times. its a high risk high reward playstyle. the midas used to be the meta in the first build of the game. i think they may have tuned it down since then though
Icy Sphere is my favorite heavy spell in the game so far. Gives you some breathing room from large packs of mobs, and the upgrades it gets later make it incredibly handy in most encounters. I will say that it does appear that ice-type enemies like the axe men can just walk into it without being frozen, so you might want to watch out for that later...lol
@imclaughlin86 Just like to add that the sphere blocks damage coming in from outside of it. Based on how Haelian is playing, it doesn't look like he realizes that.
Re: unreachable enemies in the elite pack -- there is a hole in the ceiling (see 47:30), so maybe you're meant to drop in on them from above? Purely speculating here. Either that or you're meant to keep searching for the ornate key to progress.
The ornate key is just for an easy entrance into and out of the castle. The final pack of enemies bugged out and spawned in a non accessible area unless u have gnosis 4.
enjoy ? D: And the feeling of achievement when overcoming the challenges that the game proposes i suppose, wich are not easy challengers indeed... >,< Is pretty early access yet, there are maps 3 in the game, each one bigger and with more secrets than the previous one, and 3 more maps and game modes are going to be release. And the more u raise your "gnosis" (lets say your world level) the game become harder and you have access to more zones, more challenging than before but with better rewards. (harder is not enemys with more hp or damage, the dificulty scale in this game change what kind of enemys, traps, events you will find in the maps. Like the skeletons you kill thousand of times in gnosis 1, well they now have a shield and can block your bullets D: !) You can try and upgarde diferent weapons and spells to make your builds, each weapon have diferent mechanics/perks once you level them up. There are also 3 accesory slots, ofensive, defensive and other that change what your dodge do. With that and all you work on builds and face challenges with diferent aproach and suit your playstyle. Also there are elemental damages, and if you mix freeze with fire, for example, then enemys explode on death... thunder with fire do other thing, poison with ice... So play, die, learn, get better, improve your equip, keep learning, git gud, defeat that boss that kill you 6 times, enjoy !! Is a mix of a extraction shooter with destiny vibes in a world of dark fantasy with roguelike elements (each run you get diferent perks during the run for each area you clear). Your character also gain levels and have stats similar to a souls game (if you die, you lost your current exp and trasures, you can recover them in the next run if you dont die again... you know, like a soulslike) but they are not that important atm, they said that they are working on them for the future too. Now mostly you only need 20 on life and stamina and then all in magic. I dont regreat at all my money on this game, and the best part is that is around midway, it only is going to be better with time and for the 1.0.
lol at Haelian being absolutely ALLERGIC to his demonic weapon. Pull out the big gun when you need it my guy!
My brain:
2 guns "hell yeah!"
3 guns "too many"
I'll work on it!

@@Micras08 yeah you don’t have to dash in their direction. But dashing away will make Cricket do 1-2 damage:)
And stunned enemies do not attack

The Saint class starts out with that Ice Sphere spell. It’s SO good. My favorite spell by quite a lot.
This game is so incredible. I can’t believe it hasn’t blown up more. I’m 30 hours in and still can’t put the game down!
@@DrDenticle same with me, the ganeplay loop is so much fun. still have to finish all the rewards from the wailing tower
This is the first game of a long time where I feel like a badass in this game

the trader hides out upstairs where you upgrade your gnosis hes behind a gnosis locked wall

The final large pack of enemies bugged out for sure. That's the vault door they spawned behind.
the pentagrams on the map are events.
Maybe weave in the "dash while looking at enemy at full focus" mechanic to stun them more.. isn't it 300% damage?
This is the biggest area I need to improve in definitely.
Re: unreachable enemies in the elite pack -- there is a hole in the ceiling (see 47:30), so maybe you're meant to drop in on them from above? Purely speculating here. Either that or you're meant to keep searching for the ornate key to progress.

What is the goal in this game?

+1 point for the enemys IA, they are quite smart :o
I believe it is to kill possessed civil war and ren faire reenactors.
To kill a witch. All enemies in the video are her minions. However, the witch isn't in the game yet, the game is in early access.
The Steam page promises a story/campaign on full release.

please get rid of 1080p. in combination with the horrible youtube compression vids look like from the 90s, especially on big screens
