    Very useful. Twist is my favorite technique. it looks very impressive especially while performing the complex combos when you change angles from left to right and vice versa

    I watch a lot of your videos and this might be your most informative one yet. Great stuff.
    Also, thank you for correctly stating that Peek-a-boo isn't a counter punching style. You don't wait for your opponent to create openings like a counter puncher. You create them yourself. It's why there's no overhand punches on the Willie bag. It's not necessary. You're always using aggressive defense and shifting angles to get inside to throw hooks- not waiting for a jab to counter.

    It’s a very important thing for peekaboo users thank you for explaining it i was actually looking for this now i found it but I’ve a question how can we fight against an aggressive boxer because obviously not everyone outside fighters there are fighters that move in aggressively!

      Unfortunately the answer is not black and white. Best case answer would be use move footwork and box on the outside. Unless of course your better on the inside then you fight him on the inside

    In my boxing school they teach spring (and on the occasions when I'm an assistant coach with the new guys, I do too), twist is almost consiedered a mistake (and often is, because newbie try to spring but they twist) but I use sometimes the twist, like for get off the corner or when my opponent is very close

    I very recently came across your RUclips channel, and I applied what I learned about bobbing. weaving and jabbing, and it went quite well in sparring.
    Very helpful channel for sure

    To spring or twist depensds on the previous moves and on which leg my weight is loaded... Depending on your movement with both tecniques you can load either leg

    Twist and uppercut ; i or,.. we in my hometown in boxing (or kickboxing gyms where i am, i am kickboxer.. whatewa) gyms we learn it as a basic footwork,..spring as you call it, also is basic a footwork here..when i was told my 'trainer' friend .. some yrs ago ....that is mike tyson..he told me yes but not only mike tyson..its just basic footwork..yes in fact i du both of this..for cca30..? 35? years now...yes its a basic footwork but pekabo boxing also ha ha.. and yes as you say in real fight this is hard to sent with out feints..etc not easy, becouse of simple constant mooving people dont stay at one place..but when you provoke attack you can du this side steps..(i du left half hook on my( or with my) right side step, -when i go to my right,.. ..if he go to my left i - ! - go to my left, with right half hook..or right cross..on my( with my) left side step( or 1-catch his right hand with jab, 2-cross with my left side step ..) ..and so on.. bla bla ..anyway you are something..you du great job..great teacher..🤟 wish you❤&peace 👋from kickboxer from southeast europe👊💥👍🤟

    Whats the difference between Joe Frazier style and Peek A Boo ?

    • @madhookersboxingmartialarts
      @madhookersboxingmartialarts  5 месяцев назад +1

      Best way to answer is to watch Frazier and then Tyson. Frazier bobs up and down looking to set up his left hook. Tyson was more upright and would slip side to side. Tyson was a two fisted combination puncher focusing on hand speed where Joe’s style was to get his opponent to miss and he could catch them with his left hook

      The trunks are Everest boxing trunks I bought back in 2002. Then I’m wearing black thermal underwear under them.
