Mark, I don't usually comment on RUclips videos but I recently discovered your channel and I can't stop watching every video you've posted. I've been on a weight loss journey for several months now and am proudly down more than 30 pounds. I watch a lot of Fitness RUclipsrs to stay motivated -- Will T., Coach Greg, Brian Shaw, Nick Bare -- they're all great. And I've made some gains in my overall fitness, but running has always been my big weak spot that I've never felt confident in tackling. Until I found you! Your story and attitude of just getting out there and running what you were able to has motivated me to do the same. Particularly your run-walk-run strategy to each lamp post is easy to understand and is just doable enough for even a garbage runner like myself to manage, haha. Keep up the amazing work, mate. You're a legend!

Have to say your dogs are so well behaved especially when there is food about. My 2 dogs would be a nightmare if I sat indoors and ate all that food as Jen did 😂

Those doughnuts look amazing, a great reward for an activity push. Well done to you both on what you achieved, if you thought you missed a 10kcal goal then you miss the point of achieveing the 5k, 6k,7k,8k,9kcal goals. As a heavier runner/cyclist I am tempted to try the 10k in a day burned. Eating that much is a bit too tough to try, especially without a gallbladder. Look forward ot the next videos.

Thank you for the videos you're putting out there. I am currently overweight (well fat af), but I want to get fit. Been trying for a while, got down from 110 kg to 103 and then couldn't get below (overall goal is when I am happy with the mirror, my guess is this is close to 85 kg give or take). This rut caused me to get off the diet, stop exercising etc. But feel inspired from your videos. dug out the mounting bike and resistance bands and chucked out the fast food. Thank you!

Watching your videos are a massive inspiration and the kick up the arse I need to get outside and do the runs, get the diet right and blast off the cider gut.

As someone who grew up on swim team and loves swimming for fitness, and a lover of Mark's channel, it makes me sad whenever he tries to get in the water. MARK you should try swimming in the open water. It's such a breath of fresh air compared to the pool!
I could easily do the 10,000 calorie challenge, and do it with non processed whole foods aswell. Pork butt, brisket, dates, and alot of water

the 800s... when I raced marathons we'd do those workouts for marathon training too, but you'd end up doing like 8-10 of them. Always Brutal. nice work

I really appreciated the comment when it comes to walking from you mark. That’s about all I am physically capable of currently because of a really bad injury last year till surgery. It has helped me remain healthy and sane to walk. Cheers loved the video.

Something I like to do for track workouts/high level cardio is never sit down/hands on knees. Sucks in the moment but if you stick to it your workouts seem easier
Watching this hungover, I’m not sure which is making me more nauseous, the idea of burning 10k calories, or eating it.
Maybe my favourite amongst many top-notch episodes. You are both superstars.
I can't do much exercising, but I do walk an hour almost every day and bike on a hometrainer withiut much resistance about 30min a day. It's much more than I've been able to do in the last years so I'm very happy with that. Any kind of moving your body will help, not everyone is the same, not everyone can do high-impact sports, just try to move 👍

I still can't get over this level of hatred for swimming! I grew up with a pool at my grandparent's and stayed there basically every single weekend helping out around the house and swimming growing up. The Cardio Dolphin shirt in the beginning had me thinking swimming would be making a return but this is a disappointment. It's so nice and relaxing, even when you have a goal you're pushing(like practicing staying underwater for distance). Honestly I don't know if it's the best for a burn 10k challenge though since I do feel it's one of the most exhausting options in my experience.

When you swim, do you have an mp3 player to listen to while you swim? Listening to podcasts or music can help. I use a swim snorkel so I don't have to deal with breathing and fins to make things easier. Much easier to get into the zone

Brilliant entertaining video as usual. Regarding walking, it's great exercise for those starting out. After trying to reverse a lifetime of activly avoiding exercise and sheltering from it in the pub, I was horrified at my levels of fitness. So I decided to do someting about it in January. I know, never start a new year, new me activity it won't last; but I decided that I would do my 10k steps per day by walking. Here we are in July and I am still doing it. I have averaged more than 10k steps per day and more than 5 miles walking per day. I have come down from 97 kg to 85 kg now without changing my diet. My fitness has improved greatly with very noticable results on my Apple Watch, which up till now I had been ignoring. I plan to continue with my walking and hiking.

You normally get a grunt at some of your crap jokes, but the initial punt genuinely cracked me up.
Also, running cycling first thing is great. I've seen countless foxes, a few rabbits and badgers and even the odd deer plodding around suburbia.
