My Hitachi VRC/DVD player will not eject the VHS tape ..I push the on button and the player comes on for about 20 to 30 sec then turns itself off any suggestions ? ?

when that happened to me one time with my old vhs player I had no choice to take it apart I would try to take it apart or if you know someone that is handy in that field the only reason why I took my apart is because that tape that was in there that I record when my grandfather was alive In the 90s

My Sharp VC-H965 won't eject or anything. I disconnected it from the main board and put a 9.6v battery to the motor and it moved everything and i Put it back in to the board and did the same thing with it on hoping it would eject it and nothing. Ive hit the eject button and nothing please help.

try cleaning the mode switch

@@Rockabillyman26 thank you, it was jam and the place that used to do vcr repair doesn't do it at much and i threw it away and moved to vegas.
