- Ever since I moved to Shimla, there are two questions I get asked frequently:
1. How did I find a house in Shimla?
2. How much rent I am paying?
I have answered these two questions and more in this video. It's no rocket science, just a few common steps :)

Shimla is nice place. Everything is available here too. Amazon home delivery is everywhere. Even food items delivered at home quickly. No fan required. Only heater in winters, and geyser for bathroom throughout the year. Electricity is cheap. The rent she is paying is quite high, and that is because she did not know about local rents. If today she wants, she can get a similar place for 2/3rd to half that rate easily in her locality itself. At 30,000 pm, at the outskirts of Shimla, one can easily get 4 BHK. She got only 2BHK. She should consider shifting, or renegotiate with landlord. Infact, 2BHK can be had in outskirts of Shimla for about 10 to 15 thousand easily. Good newly built accommodation. She is paying too much rent.

Namaste ji. Do you know what price for good flat (badroom, kitchen and balcony) in new Shimla? I want to rent there room or apartment.

Never knew rates are so high there. You can get a house on rent for 30k in Mumbai too

Why Shimla and not Mandi, Chail or somewhere similar but still close to Chandigarh.? As Shimla is the most touristy place in the region.

This video is informative...every place consist of advantages and disadvantages of their own.
Listen people, don’t keep asking her what kind of make up she wears and what kind of mascara she wears.
You need to understand that she is naturally pretty. If you wear the same damn makeup you are not going to look like her. So, be happy with the mug you have.

Kudos to you for leaving city life behind. I'm just a little confused about your 2nd reason for shifting - when in COVID, all of the world was in lockdown, this was not a Delhi specific thing. I'm sure it would have been there in Shimla too. N during COVID times travel industry was hit everywhere, so donno how Delhi specifically contributed to this

Being a non Himachali, you can not buy land( plot), but you can buy a flat.
You can buy land also but uske liye bhut mehant karna padega and agricultural land nhi honi chahiye bus

Actually I had texted you in March when me & my wife had visited Shimla between 14th to 17th March expecting to meet you. Was not aware that you were away to Nepal. After watching your this video, you yourself mentioned the constraints / challenges of staying there. We staying in metro do not feel comfortable relocating to such places due to paucity of various facilities. I had mentioned you earlier in my comments. I feel chandigarh could have been a better option for relocation as the mountains would have been closer to explore, at the same time chandigarh has been awarded the best place to stay. Get well soon. Please revert.
