The video was lovely and very educative . But 2 things I would like to mention. Indians are rich enough to buy these carpets but the problem is lack of awareness from buyer and transparency from seller. In Delhi they sell carpets for any price. There should be authentic shops. Also you never mentioned the price. It would be nice to know the selling price in India. Can you buy them in Bhadoi
Wonderful Vlog. This is travelling with a purpose where you not only learn something new but also share it with the world and also highlight the rich cultural heritage of India. Keep it up.
We recently came across your channel and really enjoyed watching your videos Thanks to you for giving exposure to these hard working people, and creating a different content which will help many people Keep the good work going Love from London
Thank u for sharing dear. It waa informative n fascinating. I am frm Iran , n carpet making is really big in Iran, even Bhadohi carpets go to Iran . Luv n bestest wishes always for u ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love your videos I want to visit all the places you had visited in south India being a south Indian I have not seen most of them very inspiring 😊thank you for everything want u doing for us.
Very informative and interesting video. Good effort on reaching out this far. When we talk about Make In India and I would really like to buy things from this Brand. hopefully the government subsidies this to improve the buying capacity of people in India and curb the dependency on the Importing country.
Its such an informative and well-structured video. Thank you for bringing this to us. But you did not mention a very important detail, how much does one cost? Or atleast the price range.
👍Enjoyed lot the detailed process of CARPET making at Bhadohi. Really appreciate your hard work to show all this detailed process. I loved your Vlogs a lot! Thank you so much. 💐💐🙏😊👍
Nice vlog! It's great to see someone exploring and sharing information about carpet making. However, the saddest part is that the makers do not get fair compensation for their hard work.
I agree! but the final product goes through so many steps and at every step, there is so much work and resources used. So I guess, the price of final product is distributed among several units which make the compensation look low on the lower end. Probably!
Interesting vlog. Wool goes all the way from New Zealand and then the carpet is made in India and then goes back to New Zealand and other countries for sale at incredible prices. Wondering what these hardworking people might be getting for their unique and special art ❤.
Priyanka, I liked your blog on Bhadohi and it was great. Jaunpur district is next to Bhadohi. I and my family would be very happy if you accept my lunch invitation. aur jaunpur me bhi aap bahut kuch explore kar payengi
Actually in Walajapet of Vellore dist of Tamilnadu Rough carpet were made and sold in Srinagar mainly fir Dal lake boats and rough 19:54 floor uses some 25years befor. But now stopped. No one makingNow it seems inBhaddohi
I could have but these artisans wouldn't know the actual price. Price can be checked online. I am sure it would be all over the internet. I focused on what wasn't available on the internet :)
Hello Desigirl. Im following you since a year and i like your artisan series, where you show how they produce. Can you tell me if there is a tour to see how they produce the carpet, the banarasi saree or chikankari embroidery. I want to experience the same as you show in your video. Im not indian but have indian roots and would so much love to see artisans working and learn about their work and story (i know hindi but cant read). Because of scaming im very cautious about booking anything from any site. If you have a recommendation or how i can experience with artisan...would be great to hear that 🙂
I never knew that carpets are made in UP, Bhadohi thanks but you should have mentioned the approximate price of a carpet since you want locals to buy too
Artisans don't know the actual selling price. My focus was on showing the art of making these beautiful carpets. But yes! feedback taken. Would try better next time :)
Enjoyed watching the informative vlog, however how do we contact these manufacturers if we want to buy from them? The ultimate goal is to buy "locally" made products so contact details must be shared ...
I am feeling embarassed that i am born and brought up in UP and did'nt know about bhadoi, good to know all the details.. well researched and crisp video. I am heading to south india for a long solo trip all thanks to your guiding videos !
