Hey Pierre, the vedas were written down somewhere around or before 1500bc but have been passed down for longer before that. The age when they were written down is called the Vedic age. The mouse you saw was the vehicle for lord Ganesh. Hope you're enjoying your time here
Thanks Adisura! I did google the Vedic age when I was editing the vid as I did not know what period in history it was. Interesting what you say about Lord Ganesh, I had never heard that one. Yes, although busy, only good vibes about Guwahati man!

Hey Pierre! Loving the fact that you are biking across the country and visiting less famous places which even us Indians dont know much about. And still each of your videos is fun and interesting and unique. Who knew one would come across such a fancy superbike collection in NE India! And the temple was beautiful as well, with the river flowing in between one could tell its been well preserved and mostly untouched unlike many other temples in India. Being an Indian myself, i have learnt so much about my country and seen places in your vlogs which i would never have seen or get to visit ever. Wish you get millions of subscribers and all the best for your journey ahead!
There is AD and BC to tell the time frame. Likewise we call it kruta yug, treta yug, dwapar yug and kali yug. The start of AD is like start of kaliyug when the propagations of religions started. You have bible for christians, quran for muslims, bhagvadgita/shivagita/devigita for hindus, something for buddhists, jains, etc are all examples of propagations/attempt to propagate religions (a prophet is primary for religions). However, it has remained as soft religions like vaishnavism, shaivism, shakthism, buddhism, jainism, sikhism etc in India because of vedas. Vedas are beyond such things called as religions and is a reason there is no conversion system.

hey pierre, love how you're so keen on exploring temples and cultures, just one suggestion, don't take it in a rude manner but it's rude in hinduism to point to an idol/temple (since they're considered supreme) or anything holy in the religion, so from next time, try avoiding finger pointing as much as possible (i know it's for the vlogs, but still :)) love your videos

The Word Assam comes from " Ahom" tribe of assam. Ahoms ruled Assam from 1228 to 1825 ... 600 years. Ahoms arrived from Thailand in 1228 , under the grt king SUKAFA . And United Assam under one rule. We use to have our own religion "Tai Ahom" and adopted Hinduism in 15th century.
Actually there are three major conflicting theories regarding the name "Assam": 1. From the Sanskrit word "Asama" meaning uneven 2. In Tai "Cham" means to be defeated and so with prefix 'A' "Acham" that is undefeated 3. From the Bodo word "Ha-som" which means low lying land or plain, later to be pronounced Ha-som -> Osom - Oxom/Assam
