    Hi Dan from 🇨🇦. Nice to see the evolution from your first video. I have the snowpeak tool set but found and extra set of tongs makes it easier to play with 🔥. Have and metal tin with a lid also let's you save your charcoal when your done for your cooking the next days cooking🏕️👍

      Hi Gearhead, glad this video reached you on the other side of the world 😀 Thanks for acknowledging the evolution, its been a fun journey and a lot of learning. Thanks for watchin. I've considered buying the Snow Peak Fire Tools for ages, just for the fire tongs. One day..one day... It's funny you mention reheating charcoal - I have a video about it being published in a couple of hours. I usually do a a different method though🛁. Cheers mate

    Hi Dan, was looking at getting the Oz Braai but wasn’t quite sure. You have made my mind up. I need one of these in my camping kit. Really glad I found your RUclips channel. Keep up the good work. How do find the knifes they make? Looking at getting a couple of them as well.

      Hi Tony, happy to have helped helped your decision - it's a great bit of kit. Glad you found the channel and glad you are here mate - Thanks for the encouragement! I have a similar 'Serbian cleaver knife' in my camp kitchen (same type as the big Oz Braai knife) and I really like it - but no hands on experience with the Oz Braai knives. If my current one dies I will probably look at their knives. Cheers😬

    Yummers. Nice one, I want to cook stuff like that while camping but one thing I can't get over is handling greasy stuff (e.g. rubbing herbs into meat) without a lot of water around to wash my hands after. Would be interested to know how you deal with all things water when you're out there

      Paper towels save a lot of water when cleaning cooking gear. Warm up your pots then wipe them out gets rid of 90% of the grime. Wet wipes are great too!

    • @OTWD
      @OTWD  2 года назад +2

      I use paper towel and agree with Jason below. I also think having a tap integrated on a jerry can makes water much more accessible. When I film the cooking videos I use as few dishes as possible throughout, and often wipe them down immediately rather than washing, then I do one big washup at the end.

    Hi Dan, great Vid! I hope you make your 1000 subs by years end! I’ve been “humming and Harring” To purchase on of these for ages. Question if I may, does the stand for the camp braai fit onto the fire pit? I wonder as it would give more height adjustment and allow for slow open fire roasting/cooking (possibly). Thanks AB.

    • @OTWD
      @OTWD  2 года назад +1

      Hey Andrew! Thanks for the encouragement, I reckon I'm on a path. Its funny you should ask that question - Ive tried it as is, it can sit there but its a bit unstable - Jason who gave me the tip about the seasoning, who is more handy than I, rigged up his own support structure that allows it to sit up right at an angle to the firepit. I'm in the process of doing the same - and will share when done. Apart from temp control this also can stop flare ups! Its another dimension of versatility. Will keep you posted!
